Very welcoming, nice staff. Excellent position to access the city. Clean, good breakfast. Problem is the space is very tight. Hallways and/or lift are often taken up with cleaning and room service equipment. Also, the area around the lake is closed off on weekends, very noisy, and makes access to the hotel by transport difficult.

Rooms were a bit old and could probably do with a little bit of an upgrade and a proper cleaning. With that said the room was okay and the staff was super nice and very helpfull. It was very noisy and we got woken up very early both mornings by noise coming from the corridor. Staff is the reason this is worth all 4 stars.

I have never booked a room or stayed at this hotel but nonetheless I will give it 5 stars for their amazing hospitality and customer service. I was looking for a public restroom and didn't find one, I got desperate and saw this hotel and politely asked the young lady if I could use their restroom. She was beyond welcoming, understanding and kind. Thank you.

We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed! The staff were helpful and friendly, particularly Hannah and John. We booked 2 trips through the hotel to Ninh Binh and Halong Bay, and would particularly recommend the Ninh Binh trip! The location is very close to the lake with lots going on in the nearby area. The hotel is not the quietest, due to noise from outside but we had done so many activities we just slept through it! We did have to change rooms partway through our stay which was slightly annoying but the staff moved our luggage for us once it was packed. Overall would recommend as a great base for seeing Hanoi.

We stayed at the Splendid Hotel and Spa for 10 days in Aug 2023. The hotel itself was nice - we had a large room that came with all necessary amenities such as free bottled water every day. The room was very clean and comfortable - and was equipped with both air con and a fan! The location of the hotel is perfect - only a few minutes from the lake and less than a 30 minute walk from nearly every single tourist destination in Hanoi! However, what makes this hotel outstanding is its staff. Ms Hannah was an amazing host - she helped us book two separate trips during our time here, checking which days were best for weather and finding us good prices. Everything was arranged for us - all we had to do was show up. She even told the tour company in advance about my food allergy, making the whole journey stress free. She also helped us with transport to and from the airport, as well as with laundry services. The rest of the staff (unfortunately I don’t know their names!) are equally as lovely - you are always greeted with a smile and they are willing to go the extra mile to help. I strongly recommend this hotel - mainly for its amazing staff!

I don’t know how this hotel got 5 starts review from others…. The staff are very friendly and helpful However: my room on the 7th floor ac is not working properly, it only blow room temperature air. It was 35 degree outside so I was sweating in my room. The bathroom has bug crossing the sink. The outlet is not universal standard ( other hotels we stayed all have the outlet that works for USA/ Canada plug) To be fair the hair dryer and the mini fridge worked. The reason I gave 2 starts is because of the friendly staff otherwise I would gave 1

Was staying here for 4 days . Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful ! Although some part of the room seems to be old. But the price is totally worth it . I enjoyed my stay with this hotel. Thank you !

This hotel is all that I need for the trip in Hanoi . I was on 7 floor room with window and big enough for 2 people . What I love most here is the staff. Especially Hannah , she was so friendly and I do feel like home. She help me arrange the trip to Ha Giang . This is amazing and unforgettable!!! Thank you again for a great team . It's a scam hotel. I booked a reservation for 9 days for a friend. Then the receptionist told my friend the reservation is only for 4 hours each day! They offered my friend to upgrade the booking for a full day. So it will double the rate. And the booking can't be cancelled. 😩

Really great place english is phenomenally great, quick walk to the water area to get breeze and great spot to go out on the weekend, literally street events is right there. Plus markets and vendors are close by and easy to find. Trip bookings and money exchange are really close by on left hand side when exiting building. Price is fair and will definitely stay again

The customer services was awesome!! I love how friendly all the receptionist are! The hotel is so close to all the surrounded shops and the walk around pond was awesome!!

We stayed here after arriving in Hanoi at 2am. After booking the hotel I contacted Hannah on WhatsApp and she arranged a car to meet us at the airport. This made the first part of our vacation stress free. The hotel is very well located and in easy walking distance of all the places we wanted to see. Hannah and her team are super friendly and very helpful. She helped us arrange a private car to get us to our next 5 destinations as well as help us book our Hanlong Bay cruise. All of which went perfectly smoothly. The hotel is very close to the lake and to the note cafe as well as the water puppet theatre. It's a short walk to the railway Street which is a must visit. We booked a family room on the upper floor. The beds were comfortable and the air con effective. The rooms are quiet and we all had a good night's sleeo.The rooms have high tech locks and it felt very safe. The area also feels very safe even late at night. This is a convenient location and good value for money. We will return here for certain when we are next in Hanoi.

Love this hotel,great time here super fun with the best hospitality you can find,n a wonderful location. After we checked out the hotel kept our bags for few days and also let us use the showers for free before we leave to the airport . They help arrange the car to airport cheaper than grap and safe. Best service !

The hotel does not deserve any stars. Rooms are extremely small. Book a room type with breakfast but you will have to go to breakfast at another hotel, the staff will not notify you when booking, but only when you have booked and come to check in. You will feel like you have been cheated

This is a really nice hotel in the city.Location is 3 steps to the lake and few steps to good coffee shop and stores . The front desk is 24 hours so when my flight arrives late I could check in easily. They will made you feel like home coz they willing to help you anytime with smile .I book the car service pick up and sending to airport and Halong Bay trip here, which were just great experence .Thank to Hana and all her team .You all did a great job!!!

I am staying here regularly 3 times this year. Staying here funtastic. Location is superb. Staff also very much cooperative. Specially Ms. Hanah very much caring. The small thing I would like to point out regarding breakfast you have to go sister hotel that's close to this one. They provide motor bike also to have breakfast and return back. The location is unbeatable, only few step to the most beautiful lake of the city , and the room was comfortable, super big, clean, and cool, and with great aircon. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations both for things to see in Hanoi and a day trip out to Halong Bay ,Mai Chau.The best trip in Vietnam we had with them . unforgetable memories...Thank you Hannah for the best arrangment . The neighborhood is central and has lots of good restaurants and coffeeshops, icecream right the conner ... For those who need the best rest in the city, You found it !!!

I have nothing but fabulous things to say about this hotel. I’ll start from the beginning. My husband + I arrived Hanoi at 5am from the overnight train and we were dropped off at the hotel at around 5:30. We had no where to go and check in wasn’t until 2pm but the hotel made sure we were comfortable. We were able to leave our bags with the front desk and even have breakfast upstairs. Anything we needed they always made possible. The room was pretty big and in a fabulous location—close to everything you’d want to be near. Stay here you will not regret it!! Phan Ha (manager) was beyond helpful and our life savor! He helped us book our trains round trip to Sapa, get scooters and rescue us when we ran out of gas. He made us feel as if we were family and we will 100% stay here again one day!

My stay at splendid spa hotel was the best experience full stop. Staff were so polite, we were provided free water bottles and breakfast at a bargain price. The hotel is located in the best location in the old quarter. Wish I booked this as my main stay. Cheers!

Really wonderful staff and stay. Great breakfast with a lovely view of the lake. Originally booked at S. Central but they offered me a choice of 3 properties since it was the same owner. This lead to some confusion at checkout which was disappointing but they really went above and beyond the rest of the stay. Thank you!

this hotel deserves a solid 4.5 stars. The rooms are clean. The view is not too shabby. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are nice and modern looking. The breakfast is amazing. Great selection of good food. The view is spectacular. The juices are great. The location is excellent (if you enjoy a mix of tourist zone and local entertainment experience). I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to stay.

We came to the hotel at night with no reservation. They only had a family room so they gave it to us the first night and we moved to a double room for the next 2 nights. We were charged for 3 nights in a double room (cheaper than family room for the 1st night). The room was very clean except 1 chair and a stain on the wall. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and equipped. The hot water went low very fast and we had to wait between showers. Breakfast is nice. The staff is the friendliest we met in Vietnam, very very helpfu!!!

I want to start by saying that the staff here are great! They are so welcoming, helpful and caring. The sales manager contacted us many days before we arrived to help us with transfers and trips. That was really good for us! The hotel is, as the staff said, pretty new(both not as in a new fresh building), so they still have some things to fix to get it absolutely right. When we were there it seemed to be some kind lf problem with the plumbing that made waste from other toilets end up in your own. We changed rooms but it still happened from time to time. That makes it smell quite a lot, and it feels a bit dirty of course. The cleaning can get a little bit better when it comes to bathrooms and the breakfast restaurant. But all in all we were really happy with our stay here. The location is perfect and the rooms are good. It’s a priceworthy option!

Great hospitality, the front desk is kind enough to facilitate early check in and personally talk to us giving recommendations around the place and so on. They also gave me an Upgrade! The room has a view to the lake. The breajfast is good as well on the 7th floor overlooking the lake. Definitely will think of this place whenever I come back from Vietnam.

The place is a dump. We completely got ripped off. It is ok if you pay $20-30/night. For $150/night we could have gotten much nicer hotel rooms. Our rooms look NOTHING like the photos. It was like a basic hostel with old beat up walls, plain beds, paper thin towels, toilet and shower leaking all over the bathroom floor. We had to wear slippers so we don’t slip. The location is convenient but very hard to find as it’s in a little alley way.

My husband and I booked this hotel as our first stop for our honeymoon. Unfortunately we were unable to get a visa on time (lunar new year closures messed with our plans), and despite reaching out over a week before our stay, they refused to give us any sort of refund. Staff were rude and jerked us around, making us check in to follow up on the refund status several times before denying our request. Won’t be staying here when we do come back based on customer service.

Hotel have everything you need .Good room , big enough, soft bed ,comfortable, quiet and staff so nice , they could help everything like arrange the transfer from airport, trip to Halong bay and Ninh Binh , sapa …. I will recommend for friends come to stay here . Thank you !

Small hotel that needs renovating. The rooms are rather tired and the pillows aren't great. Bathrooms a good siE but not without issue. Breakfast is taken at another hotel 7 minutes walk away, we never made it. They close the shutter very late at night and the bell doesn't work, so have fun waking the night guy up. Redeeming features: did some same-day laundry for us despite saying 24h, the day staff are all very friendly and helpful, relatively inexpensive, good location.

Staff is excellent, spoke well, gave great recommendations and very helpful. The location was perfect as well, less than a minute from the lake and easy access to attractions, shop, food, everything. Rooms were good, nothing amazing but great value, 2 travelers would easily be comfortable in the double room. Hot shower was great, amenities all provided, elevator, aircon and wifi working perfectly. Only sort of negative would be not to get the breakfast, is not on site, and pretty average, but no reason to penalize the hotel as there's food from just a few steps away. Overall a great place to stay, would definitely recommend to everyone

Splendid hotel & spa in Hanoi is terrible.Suffered one night there. Room Dirty, a/c don’t cool down, blood and oil stains on comforter cover and rain shower spray water to ceiling. Hotel pictures and reviews are faked. Little alley space is their check in. Stay away!
