Arrived late at night so there was low visibility in the roads. Cab driver could not drive through the narrow alley. We got lost finding the entrance and it was uncomfortable navigating along the dark alleys dragging our luggage against the uneven ground (there was construction going on in the area) and have dogs startling us with their barking when we passed by. Room was definitely an eye opener and it was comfortable but a baby slug appeared on the toilet wall on our 2nd night and my partner woke up to a baby millipede next to his pillow. Breakfast was warm and good (chicken/beef pho and coffee). Frank was very welcoming and even shared with us a video of Dao Ahn Khan’s valley. He gave us good recommendations of Hanoi (to check out the museum of ethnology) and arranged for our transport to the airport at 8am Overall a unique experience sleeping in the treehouse, truly a work of art!

Impressed by hospitality of the host (Jenny - the artist's daughter) and her staff. The kids will love surprising treehouse which they only see in the movie or imagine from an old story. Good choice for weekend getaway :)

After the epidemic, this area was no longer neat. The house is old and creaky, making it difficult for many people to sleep at night. The toilet is not very clean. Price is quite high. Lots of mosquitoes. Enthusiastic staff, convenient location, unique space, quite spacious. Not recommended for families with children because - There are many sensitive pictures that are not suitable for children - The swimming pool is quite deep, there are no steps to the pool platform so it is difficult to get up. - The tree house's steps are also high and difficult to move and above the railing is not suitable for small children - Playing overnight with other children is boring Generally suitable for groups of young people without children. Prices need to be adjusted to suit the current situation

Tree House is a very cute, natural, rustic place in the heart of the city. Tree House is quiet and authentic. These are the works of artist Dao Anh Khanh and his daughter. There are many beautiful art paintings and diverse designs, each room has a different style and is very beautiful. Just like a small forest, everything is very real. A bit old but beautiful. 🤟

I went about 3 years ago, there are many paintings by artists and a swimming pool. Overall very good, everyone remember to bring insect spray. Very suitable for groups and need a quiet space

Cozy little artists retreat on the outskirts of town. I liked the bungalow we stayed in but heads up - the bathroom is down 3 flights of ladders. No bathroom is attached to the place we slept in. The shower is a shower head attached to the sink. If you’re looking for a place to stay with first world commodities this is not it. If you want an authentic experience, stay here. Zu is the manager and she is very sweet and can speak English incredibly well. Breakfast is free starting at 6:30am. The pool area is a nice lounge spot, but I wouldn’t recommend going in the water. Walk around the quarters and explore all the nooks and crannies.

Dao Anh Khanh Treehouse is an interesting place right next to the craft center. Delicious grilled food, natural scenery and unique decoration style. However, I only rate it 4* because my group ordered a charcoal grill but had to use an electric stove the next day to experience it.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for nights and was lucky to meet the artist himself 🙂 He's a very nice person, and totally unique too! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we were very happy during our stay. If the space could be a bit bigger in the room, everything would be perfect!

An through Vietnam. I am beyond words for the gratitude I have for one of the most special experiences were privileged to have through our stay with Khanh. Ming cooked some oasis in Hanoi. Unexpected natural experience within a bustling city. Khanh is one of the most sincere, kindest souls we encountered in our travels of the best meals we had in Vietnam.

Our stay at the treehouse was absolutely great. The treehouse could not have been cooler and it even came with air conditioning and wifi. It's nicely tucked away from the busyness of downtown but is still just a cheap taxi ride away from the old quarter. Khanh's garden and home were unbelievable. He was also incredibly welcoming and friendly and is one of the most interesting people I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. To top it off, his wife also made us delicious pho for breakfast. By far the coolest place we have ever stayed.

Great meals with the host. Very unique experience, with a relaxing setting among the jungle-style grounds and all the art in the studio. A little out of the way, nice to escape the city bustle. Slightly more rustic than we expected -- but really your room and bathroom are in a tree...

An unique stay! What a treat to be here with Khanh and family. Wonderful welcoming hosts. Mingh is a lovely fantastic cook! Her noodle bowls are the best I've had. She was so kind as to cater to our vegetarian diet. Khanh is a charming, generous character of a man. It was a pleasure to meet and interact with his wife and children too! The rooms are simple, rustic and clean. The tree house is brilliant stuff, a bit noisy in the early morning. Thankfully my heart emoticon and I are early risers. 15 minute taxi ride to city center. Flexibility is a good thing- a few times there was a wait to secure a driver to come out to the studio. I am grateful to have this experience, to know Khanh, his work and his family.

I had the most wonderful time at Khanh's private little jungle. I received a warm welcome from Khanh upon arrival and after having settled in my--comfortable--treehouse got a private tour of the premises. It was wonderful to see with what enthusiasm and love he created his own little open-air museum.

If you are visiting Hanoi you must stay here! We loved the atmosphere... Unique architecture surrounded by lush garden greens throughout the grounds filled with artwork and great energy. The owner, Khanh, is a wonderful person and on any given day you can catch him creating his artwork there. Minh, the house manager, Is so sweet and truly takes care of your every need. Khanh invited us to dinner with his family one evening where we all ate and drank late into the evening over great conversation. As our stay went on we became more than guests, we all became friends. This place is personal, unique, and very special!

Our stay at Khanh's studio was a truly otherworldly experience! His place is magic, the house garden and everything else is full of his artist magic. You don't get many chances in life to sleep in a floating cave surrounded by jungle, very memorable. His staff is the most kind and accommodating there is, she helped us with everything we needed and more. Fully recommended! *\(^o^)/*

This was one of the most delightful places to stay. quirky, original and infectiously welcoming. Excellent host and appealing, full of interesting ideas. The stairs a a bit rickety and the toilet is downstairs, but to be in this ancient building made up for all that.

Be careful when you book this accommodation. The room is so small, with all out of order facilities. It is so humid and uncomfortable during summer. When we came there, we were totally disappointed of the quality of the room compared to the pictures posted online. Although the hosts tried their best to make us feel better by giving us an additional room, it couldn’t make the bad impression fade away.
