The
star
of
the
cruise
was
really
the
guides.
They
are
extremely
friendly,
helpful
and
attentive.
The
staff
on-board
were
also
very
pleasant.
I
could
tell
that
they
were
out
to
make
our
experience
as
great
as
possible.
The
cabin
was
clean
and
comfortable,
although
given
that
the
cruise
is
only
6
months
old
and
we
could
see
some
signs
of
wear
and
tear,
I’m
not
sure
how
long
it’ll
last.
The
turn-over
rate
for
guests
seems
pretty
high
as
well,
we
took
over
a
group
immediately
and
were
also
immediately
replaced
by
the
next
group.
Seems
like
they’re
pushing
for
as
much
volume
as
possible,
which
might
put
a
strain
on
the
cruise.
When
we
were
going
to
leave
they
also
had
to
move
guests
over
to
one
side
to
clean
up
the
dining
area
to
prepare
for
the
next
group
of
guests.
This
kinda
spoils
the
supposed
5-star
experience
that
you’d
expect
to
be
hassle-free.
Our
cabin
was
near
the
engine
room
which
had
a
really
loud
rattling
sound
when
the
cruise
was
moving.
But
apparently
this
is
normal
for
any
cruise.
The
true
downside
to
Serenity
Cruise
is
the
need
to
change
boats
several
times.
We
boarded
a
small
ferry
to
go
to
Lan
Ha
Bay,
then
had
to
transfer
to
a
smaller
boat
to
then
transfer
to
the
actual
cruise
boat.
This
is
quite
troublesome
and
tiring,
although
not
truly
their
fault
because
of
the
not-so-touristy
area
they’re
bringing
you
to.
But
just
a
heads
up
for
those
who
prefer
a
more
fuss-free
experience.
As
for
activities,
the
kayaking
experience
was
both
good
and
bad.
We
were
there
on
a
high-tide
day
so
we
had
to
kayak
to
the
fishing
village
which
was
quite
smelly
and
the
water
was
dirty.
Although
we
did
arrive
at
a
small
bay
afterwards
which
was
truly
the
highlight
of
the
experience.
The
cruise
also
offers
bottled
water
for
all
activities
and
are
generally
generous
with
water,
which
was
great.
Our
food
on
board
wasn’t
great
but
we
were
told
that
the
Chef
was
unfortunately
unwell
and
on
a
break
hence
the
sub-standard
food
compared
to
the
usual
fare.
Overall,
the
staff
at
serenity
cruises
are
superb
at
their
service
and
attentiveness
as
well
as
positive
disposition
throughout.
However,
the
experience
isn’t
exactly
as
premium
as
the
price
point
or
supposed
5-star
label
is
due
to
the
need
to
repeatedly
transfer
and
move
around
and
also
the
not-so-pristine
kayaking
waters.
