If
you're
doing
a
self-guided
tour,
stay
far
away
from
this
business,
unless
you
want
to
deal
with
a
shockingly
rude,
unprofessional
person
who
cannot
think
about
anything
beyond
money
and
does
not
care
about
you
or
your
ride.
I
had
red
flags
from
this
guy
right
from
the
beginning
when
I
emailed
him
about
renting
a
bike.
I
wrote
it
off
as
cultural
differences
and
decided
to
go
with
him.
Big
mistake!
From
the
time
I
landed
in
Hanoi
and
reached
out
to
him,
to
the
time
I
left,
he
was
rude,
unhelpful,
and
unprofessional.
He
rented
me
a
bike
with
a
crack
in
the
tire
(my
mistake
for
not
doing
a
thorough
inspection,
trusting
that
he
was
a
professional).
I
noticed
it
after
a
couple
of
days.
He
kept
gaslighting
me
and
telling
me
that
the
tire
would
be
fine.
What
kind
of
a
person
would
rent
a
bike
with
a
cracked
tire
to
someone
new
to
their
country
with
a
2000
km
ride
ahead
of
them,
on
a
tight
schedule
with
no
time
to
waste
on
tire
changes,
and
telling
them
it
would
be
fine?
He
did
not
care
about
my
safety
or
about
needlessly
delaying
my
trip.
(And
no,
this
is
not
a
Vietnam
thing.
When
I
asked
Tigit
Motorcycles,
they
also
recommended
that
it
be
replaced
as
soon
as
possible.)
At
this
point
I
was
so
disgusted
with
him
that
I
just
replaced
it
out
of
pocket
and
stopped
communicating
with
him.
(He
paid
me
later
on
for
a
portion
of
the
cost,
just
what
he
would
pay
for
a
tire
from
China.
So
professional!)
This
guy
says
on
his
website
that
they
will
be
with
you
on
the
road
all
the
way
if
you
rent
from
them,
but
in
reality
he
will
tell
you
that
you
"ask
too
many
questions",
give
short
unhelpful
replies,
and
try
to
make
you
feel
like
you're
stupid
and
unused
to
Vietnam
riding.
Throughout
my
ride,
whenever
I
had
questions,
I
would
message
Tigit
Motorcycles,
who
kindly
replied
with
very
useful
answers,
even
though
I
did
not
even
rent
from
them!!
That's
how
you
know
who
is
a
true
motorcyclist
at
heart.
I've
ridden
all
over
the
world
and
rented
motorbikes
in
many
places
and
I've
never
had
such
an
awful
experience.
I've
hosted
motorcyclists
from
foreign
countries
and
been
their
support
because
I
truly
want
them
to
have
a
great
time
in
my
country.
This
guy
does
not
care
about
motorcyclists
or
what
their
experience
in
his
country
will
be
like.
This
is
just
a
business
to
him.
Stay
away.
