I stayed with my family in a family room. This hotel is very old and seems that no one cares about maintenance. The room has obvious and visible large areas of mold on walls and ceiling in bed and bathroom. The walls, floors and furniture have major cracks and damages. The bed linen and towels were dirty with full of stains. There were water leaks coming from underneath the bathtub in the bathroom. The water temperature control was broken so the water was either too hot or too cold. My son burned his foot when taking a shower. Right after the check in we requested to change the room but they said the hotel is fully booked and offered ridiculous 10% discount. Unfortunately travelling with children it was a hassle to look for another hotel last minute so we decided to stay which was the worst stay in a hotel ever in my life.

Room was clean and bathroom was larger than expected for a hotel in Hanoi old quarter. Breakfast room has view of the lake, great place to enjoy your cup in the morning. Breakfast was good with adequate options, including eggs made to order and one hot soup (pho or bun), plus a selection of typical breakfast dishes. Staff was very nice and helpful.

The staff were very accommodating to our needs. The hotel staff provided us options on the many things we could do in Hanoi and tourist spots outside Hanoi. The rooms are cleaned and tended to everyday. The breakfast buffet, however does not get replenished so make sure to go to the restaurant early.

Pros Smiley Annie makes you smile while your staying; she is a staff and receptionist at the lobby, helping all guests by advising on any travel information such as guided tours or spa. She is an ever best staff of the hotels among all hotels that I have stayed in. I also have no doubt she must be the same class among all hotels in Vietnam. The location is quite good; very closed to the lake and they also have lake-view rooms. Also very closed to the old town. In front of the hotel, there are 24/7 stores, local restaurants, travel agencies, bars and cafes. It is suitable for family tourists as well as for travellers, unless you stay in 5-stars hotel. Breakfast is served from 6h30 so that it is good for traveller who start their trips earlier. Even, it is delicious! Cons It would be nicer if they have shared rooms for single travellers.

From check-in till check-out, it was an utterly dismal experience! Can you believe it? The audacity of the hotel trying to sneak in extra charges despite the price I'd already booked online. And don't get me started on the room – it was a disaster! Filthy walls adorned with squashed, dead mosquitoes, and to top it off, a buzzing infestation of live ones in the bathroom, making our night an absolute nightmare! Oh, the bed was rock hard! Aside from the location, I'd never, ever recommend this place to anyone!

Lovely staff and very accommodating but had zero sleep at this place. The walls may as well be made of paper because I could hear everything all night from the street. Then once the street finally quietened down, renovations started on the building next door. I had to move rooms so it didn't sound like there was a jackhammer right next to me (which they did happily - very lovely staff). The bathroom is also really outdated and the shower is very difficult to use. WiFi was very poor too and no instructions for the safe or aircon. Lucky I was only staying one night otherwise I would have probably needed to move hotels.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is well located. The rooms were clean with comfortable king size beds. The buffet breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. I especially want to mention Tracy (Nhung) at the front desk. She was very knowledgeable about all the tours and transportation. She arranged our trip to Halong Bay, train tickets to Da Nang, and flights to Saigon. She also provided lots of valuable information about sightseeing, food, nightlife, etc., got us cheaper taxis with her Grab App was and just a pleasant lady to speak with! Jessy, the lady at the front desk in the evening was also very friendly and helpful. Additionally, they offered that we could leave our bags during our two day trip to Halong Bay then come back and shower at the hotel for free before boarding our train to Da Nang! Great service!

Excellent location, huge spacious rooms. The bathroom is a problem-- hot water control in shower is really bad, can get scalded - have to be extra careful with young children. Breakfast decent.

I have 3 star just for the location. The location of the hotel is good as you can find everything easily and in walking distant apart from that breakfast was okay. But coming to the room it was not as per the expectation. - the picture which i have upload is the view from the breakfast area.

The warmest welcome in Hanoi. Annie was the most helpful and friendly manager. In fact all the staff were always very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Despite the noise and buzz in the old quarter the room was quiet and relaxing. The location is excellent. Close to all the major attractions. It's defibilty worth the stay.

For $80 AUD a night we got a lake view room but for the price I think you can do better. Staff were lovely and helpful. Good location close to markets, quite central. Convenient!

A nice small hotel with a nice location next to the lake. Very nice and helpful receptionist. The room a little bit old but clean enough. The breakfast is not much variance.
