Comfortable beds but cleaning staff barges into the room at around 9am in our experience (2nights, on both mornings). Also hang around loudly outside the door waiting for occupants to check-out even though it is not check-out time yet, coming in to clean as each leaves (which, in our experience, someone checked out before 10am and staff was in immediately changing bed sheets). There was also loud maintenance work using drills within the accommodation (other rooms) early in the morning

We booked a private room, but when we got there we were told that the private rooms are actually in another building, this was not mentioned to us on the booking website, quite the contrary, there were plenty of photos with how the room looks like. Very disappointing since we were hoping to socialize a bit with other travelers and get some idea what to do next based on their experiences. It was also evening and we were pretty tired, so booking something else last minute felt exhausting. The hotel we were taken to was Lavender hotel, where we were initially given a very cramped room with no outside window. Again not what we booked. We were upgraded the next day after complaining. The staff at Lavender was friendly and the room was ok, but you should be aware this shady practice exists.

Awesome location! EVERYTHING was within walking distance. Front desk was very helpful in helping me book the Ha Giang Loop. Cherry was the best! Sheets are cleaned/changed every day, and there are chargers/lamps for every bed. Delicious, free breakfast, every day! Also take their offer to pick you up/ drive you to the airport. Its cheaper and faster then a Grab. Hanoi is beautiful city! Some of the nicest, and most accomodating people you will ever meet. I had a lovely time, and will be back!

Fantastic room. When you book a private room you get moved to another location, just 30 seconds moped ride away. The rooms are brilliant, fantastic shower and comfy bed. The free breakfast is really good too, great value. The service was great, they even organised a taxi to the airport which was less expensive than grab.

one of the best hostels we have stayed on when it comes to the location, social part, helpfulness, information, good prices for tours (sapa and ha giant loop), organized, service and kind employees. we booked this hostel and the check in was much later than when we arrived and they let us wait in the reception instead of having to wait on the street. the breakfast is AMAZING!. we booked the ha giang loop with them and got a really good price with much included.bus back and forth hanoi- ha giang, overnights, meals, easy driver, and the tour. the tour is amazing! defiantly recommend this hostel for everyone! one thing is just that the room has a weird smell.

Tidy rooms and clean bathroom. Need to get your own lock for the locker. They even give free beer.

The hostel is located in old quarters and has many shops, restaurants and convenience stores around. I will list down some important points 1. Prior booking is always best as the hostel gets full due to its increasing popularity. 2. Sim cards, tour bookings, bus bookings and bike rentals are available at the hostel. Sim card starts at $10, Tours starting at $40 3. Rooms are very clean and there is an option of double bed dorms. Good for couples and 2 people travelling together. 4. Simple breakfast option is available. Egg omlette, break and tea/coffee. 5. Water can be bought outside at cheaper rates. 6. The hostel is multi-storeyed and doesn't have elevator (disappointment) 7. If you're on budget, always compare prices outside for rental bikes, tour bookings, sim cards.

Very relaxed hostel, rooms are great but there is not too much action going on. If you like a quiet hostel, it is the right place for you.

If you consider the price we paid, the hostel is amazing. The speak English, they are kind, there is free breakfast. All in all, if you want to save money is very good option.

Meh! Looks nice but staff is miserable to be honest! They constantly come into the rooms and leave the doors open to the rooms??? During dinner they tend to take up the sitting area to eat their dinners daily. Leaving the guest to hang out outside or in the rooms.

Great hostel, stayed in a double bed dorm which had 2 bunk beds so 8 people max and each room has its own bathroom inside that dorm room which is ideal. Location in the centre of the old quarter so it’s not far to walk to most places. Cleaners come in daily, you’re organised downstairs, free breakfast, no complaints!

Really good service! Double beds, ideal for couples or close friends. +Breakfast Unfortunately, we stayed in a room with 3 other pairs: one was really sick, the other one was really loud and the last one was moving all the time under our bed.... Anyways, these things happen! Talk and manage it early and you will enjoy

Wonderfully friendly Hostel well located in the centre of the Old Quarter. Clean rooms, hot shower, double beds. Staff are friendly and hospitable and will see to your every need. Trips to Halong Bay, ha gian loop and sa pa can be organised at very reasonable prices with the staff.I recommend this place to all ages and nationalities. 10/10

Friends stayed here when we were elsewhere. The staff were extremely helpful. Booked all activities through them, and they were able to take my electronics to be fixed & have parts replaced while I did the Ha Giang loop. 10/10 service, would recommend to anyone!

The female receptionist was exceptional! Super friendly and helped us on our first days in Hanoi. We slept in the double bed dorm, which was super spacious, had lockers and an en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was included, mostly toast with egg and coffee or juice to your preference. Highly recommend, super accessible and in the old quarter

the beds and bathroom were clean, the staff are very accommodating and will do their best to help you out with anything! free beer was fun, and the breakfast was good although probably not a must because maybe you’d rather eat on the street! but since I was trying to stretch my cash until my flight it was perfect for me :) also wanted to add, i liked the common space!

Yes the place met my expectations! Was very simple and easy to get to and around Hanoi. Very central location. I particularly enjoyed the customer service of reception Mai 😊 I think some things could have been better, however, she was extremely helpful in booking my tours and helping me navigate my way through town to town. She was often right with timings and things just seemed to fall into place! Again she was extremely helpful!

Rooms and facilities are a bit dated but the staff are very warm and welcoming. Located in the old quarters, it's very easy to explore the city from here. They can also arrange whole host of tours around Hanoi. Overall a nice experience.

I had a great time here. This was my experience of staying in a hostel & they did not disappoint. I was traveling solo so right from the pre-booking to checking out Hung was proactive & hospitable. Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a hostel in Old Quarter.

At the price you can't expect more. The rooms are clean and breakfast is standard - eggs, babana and coffee everyda.I did not find the staffs very honest. I wrote a mail to them sayin I will be landing early morning and requested them to accomodate. They confirmed on email the same but when I reached the person at the front desk said he can't do much and there is no room. He made me sit for 30 minutes and and suddenly ther is a Room but I have to pay for 1 full night. So the best is to book with them and stay at the place but don't trust them on anything else. Cleanliness is at par with other good place. Their exchange rate is very high and any tour booking with them will be expensive ; however they will claim that they are helping you with best rate. Go Right into the road and take the first left and you will see Sinh travel on the right...they are v good and few others around.

I booked a room in this hostel, and on arrival, they shifted us to serenity diamond hotel, saying we have private rooms here. Had i known this before, I would have myself booked a better hotel rather. Serenity diamond hotel had claustrophobic and suffocating rooms and I didn't like the overall ambiance.

Such a great place to stay, very central and with lots of people that know where to find the best attractions. Lots of really cool people

I almost lost my flight because the taxi I booked through the hostel was not showing up and the hostel stuff did not want to help me. Also, one of the guys at the reception gave me three small bananas as my take away breakfast for the trip and he went back to sleep afterwards. They will also try to charge you extra for the taxi to the aeroport, you shouldnt pay more than 250k. I do not recommend this place, the beds are uncomfortable and there is not a social vibe.

  • 4/5 Frederik N. 8 months ago on Google
We booked online a private room, but when we arrived we were told that our room was actually in another hotel nearby, Lavender Hotel, which they had an arrangement with. A little bit confusing when just arriving to Hanoi from Europe. Anyways, check in was smooth, the room we got was fine, and the airport pickup was flawless.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Nice and clean. Super friendly and helpful staff. Booked ha long bay and ha giang loop through them. So easy and was an insane experience

This hostel is generally good but there are some points I wanted to make known to future travellers in this review. The staff are friendly and location is good, rooms are also good but there can be a smell in some I think due to the bathroom or pipes. Unfortunately things like towel, water or kitchen aren't included but you can purchase for a very small price. I really enjoyed my stay due to the amazing people I met and the trips, however the hostel charge more (£30-40) for booking trips such as to Halong Bay for example than if you went with a travel agent you found on the street for example so I would suggest looking around if you felt comfortable with this Free walking tour is good to book onto and meet new people

This is the best hostel that I've stayed at in the Old Quarter part of Hanoi City. The dorms are clean, beds are comfy and the breakfast is super. Also the atmosphere is amazing since they have a happy hour where all people get together and socialize. I stayed there twice and every time I end up getting introduced to lots of cool people. Hostel managers are super nice as well and they'll help you with whatever you need.

Such a great hostel!! Very comfortable beds. The rooms are cleaned every day. They do free beer every day between 6 and 7, which is a great way to get people mingling and meeting each other...... And....... It's beer......... That's free 🍺🍻😍 They have free walking tours 3 mornings a week, which unfortunately we missed because we weren't there long enough. There's a great breakfast selection. Very tasty and substantial. But most of all...... The staff are fantastic!!! They are all so friendly and helpful. They constantly recommended places for food and things to do. We booked a Lan Ha/Halong Bay tour with them, and it was very reasonable. In fact, cheaper than anything we could find anywhere online. Even if you don't book a tour with them, it is worth talking to them about it, or any other trip you'd like to take, as they are very knowledgeable, and can tell you the best places to go/things to see etc etc. Thank you so much for making our stay in Hanoi so memorable and so much fun!! Thank you 😊😊😊 You guys are the best!!! 👍👍👍

My favourite hostel in Hanoi. It is in a central location and very reasonably priced. They even offer free beer during happy hour! The rooms are a little cramped but it's manageable. I would have given this hostel five stars but I recently heard that they fired Tony who was an incredible guy who used to work there. Tony made my stay here complete. I don't think my friends and I will return if he isn't there.

The price is quite good. It's super central if you like to disvover the old quarter. your room is to the streets it is super loud. Our AC didn't work and they just said sorry. The staff is quite nice but they definitely try to sell you a lot. Breakfast is quite ok.

Perfect example of a good hostel should be! Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever Mr. Minh, thank you so so much , really good free breakfast, it's location is in the heart of Hanoi. The room was clean and quiet. Nice place to stay , away from home.

This is a nice place for a backpacker. You meet a lot of people during the happy hour when the hostel provides free beer. Individually designed tourist packages whatever your budget is. The staff was really helpful. I recommend the female dorm for women.

My fiance and I loved staying at this hostel. It is very conveniently located within the Old Quarter, with lots of restaurants, shops and bars close by. They have free beer from 6-7pm and it was very much not a party hostel which we liked! The best part by far was the friendly staff and the amazing breakfasts. We had an early bus to Halong Bay one day and the staff even made us egg sandwiches and fruit to go without even asking! Would recommend! :) One thing we did notice was the lock box under the bed was twisted so we couldn't use our lock on it...would check that out before you choose a bed!

The staff here was great! As soon as we walked in we had a very friendly welcoming and they all spoke pretty good English. We stayed in a dorm with double beds, there could be some sort of shelf or something to put your phone and book on. There was an outlet on the wall but it was a bit high so my phone had to hang. The common area is a bit small and could have a couch instead of just chairs and tables to make it more comfortable. Location is great! Close to restaurants, bars and nightlife but not in the middle of all the party noise which was great!

  • 5/5 Darren H. 4 years ago on Google
Very good hostel in a convenient location. Staff were super helpful in setting up a sapa tour for us and although it does get a bit loud in the evenings it's not unvearable. The shower tap in our room broke on the first night and was fixed by the next day. Over all I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking to stay in the old town area.

Nice and clean hostel in a very good location on the edge of Hanoi old quarter. Reasonably priced considering cleanliness and facilities. Near to old quarter and not far from the train station, good food and bars. The receptionist, Lee, helped us out greatly with our trip to Ha long bay which we were definitely overpaying for. We've stayed here twice now and on both occasions have been very satisfied.

  • 5/5 Inès D. 1 year ago on Google
Really good hostel, quite cheap, quieter than we expected, staff was very friendly and helpful. It is located in the old city so we walked to a lot of sightseeing points we wanted to visit. Only downside is the furniture that is old fashioned (especially bathroom) and the fact common areas are not so big nor crowded with other visitors so maybe less easy to meet people than in other hostels. Overall I recommend !

  • 5/5 Adriana C. 1 year ago on Google
The staff was amazing, so genuine and they don’t try to rip you off like other hostels in Hanoi. They give you really good prices and can help you plan your stay in Vietnam. They had 3 hostels before COVID and had to close 2 of them but now trying to reopen! And the best part is the hostel is owned by a young Vietnamese woman!

  • 5/5 Yasmin 1 year ago on Google
I stayed one night at this fantastic place in Hanoi. It's a super friendly, clean, right in the centre and great value for money! They have double bed bunk beds and private bathrooms for each room. The staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have an awesome stay. Thanks Katie and team for a wonderful stay!

  • 5/5 FELIX B. 1 year ago on Google
I planned many trips with them in Vietnam. They are super helpfull and sit down with you until you have your ideal trip planned. They will also be in touch with you for the whole trip, so you always have somebody to ask in case you need anything. The Hostel itself is nice as well. Was lucky with the people there during my stay.

  • 5/5 Jesse D. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing location, great double beds in the dorms. Super friendly staff. The only thing is they lack a common area for travelers to get together. Other than that, great place to stay in Hanoi.

  • 5/5 Ricky 1 year ago on Google
Amazing experience here...first off the staff are all so amazing. Everyone is always smiling and so helpful. They help plan trips around Hanoi, Halong Bay and more! The beds are super comfy. Rooms are clean. Also there's many shops and local food around so you are close by ro everything. I would definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Hanoi.

  • 4/5 Tore W. 2 years ago on Google
Was an incredible location right in the heart of Hanoi. The staff were very friendly and helped with booking busses for day trips or overnight stays elsewhere. Unfortunately only one plug worked over 3 of the beds we had, but apart from that was really good.

  • 4/5 Kasper S. 1 year ago on Google
Don't expect too much from the room itself in terms of luxury, and you get everything you might want! It's in the middle of the historic center and the hosts are very helpful and hospitable. The room itself has aircon, a soft and clean bed, and a good bathroom, so what more do you need? You even get a simple complimentary breakfast!

  • 5/5 Joel Y. 1 year ago on Google
One do the best hostels in Hanoi. Located in the Old quarter, all attractions are at walkable distance from here. Friendly and accommodating staff who help with you anything from booking tickets/trips to laundry. Neat and well maintained dorms.

  • 5/5 Wiktor S. 1 year ago on Google
Decent price, perfect localisation, fantastic staff. I’ve stayed there two nights, I wasn’t using any of common areas so I have nothing to tell about that. When it comes to the room - beds are comfortable, there are some places that you could keep your stuff when you’re outside the hostel. One minus - there is nothing to divide the toilet and shower in the bathroom.

  • 5/5 Ayush N. 1 year ago on Google
The hostel is in a great location. The rooms were clean and the beds were quite comfortable. The breakfast was quite decent as well. They serve bread toast and jam or eggs plus coffee/tea.
