Good place for meetings and spacious too unlike most space hungry hotels in Hanoi.

Amongst all the other high-end hotels in Hanoi, Daewoo is definitely the veteran. Situated right next to a lake (hence the name, which means big lake), the hotel offers an unusual view into downtown Hanoi. The service at the hotel was excellent, at par with other high-end hotels in Asia. The staff were attentive and eager to assist. The room was spacious and well equipped. The main restaurant was excellent, offering mouth-watering meals with variety and flare. I was there for a week and every breakfast was slightly different but equally tasty. I also booked the conference room for meetings throughout the week. The room was well appointed, well equipped. There is a gym on site, in a different part of hotel hotel. The gym was quite good, way above the standard of hotel gyms, especially hotel gyms in Asia.

From the moment I stepped into Hotel Hanoi Daewoo, I was enveloped in an aura of opulence. The rooms exuded a perfect blend of modern elegance and comfort, creating a haven after a day of exploration. The attention to detail was exceptional, from the plush furnishings to the panoramic views. The staff at Hanoi Daewoo epitomized hospitality. Their warm welcome and genuine willingness to assist made me feel like a valued guest. The level of service surpassed expectations, adding an extra layer of joy to the stay. My stay at Hotel Hanoi Daewoo was a symphony of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service.✨️✨️✨️✨️

Not up to the 5 stars standard. Very dated and stains everywhere. Bathroom feel like a 2 stars hotel. The only reason to rate it 2 stars is the staff. Not recommend if you looking to stay at a 5 stars hotel.

Had a shocking stay at the Daewoo hotel. As an English family staying for two nights, we were looked at and addressed like aliens. We have travelled all of Vietnam prior to our stay, and had experiences fantastic service throughout, however, at the Daewoo, all staff members seemed uninterested in their job and in assisting us. The facilities were old and dated, and the rooms smelt bad. We asked for 3 double rooms and booked months in advance and were told at check in, only twin beds were available. We relaxed by the pool one afternoon, left our stuff by the pool to quickly check out the gym facilities and on our return, all our belongings had been taken to reception and drinks (which we had paid for) removed - we were not offered compensation nor an apology. Breakfast was average, and we were rushed out before 10am. Not only this, the prices were ridiculous. A small bottle of water was 85,000 vnd, whereas in the nearby shop, you can get these for 8,000 VND (or a large 1L bottle for 10,000vnd). How they justify this is ridiculous. Terrible stay.

This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. It’s not in my opinion. Very dated rooms. Water stains on carpet, funky smell, room furniture and style very basic. A/C not working in the room. Set to 10 C just to try to get the room cool. Stayed 27.5 the whole night. Asked for a new room, tried it out, same…A/C not working. They gave us a rotating fan for the room haha. The only reason I’m not giving the hotel a 1-star is that the staff were relatively friendly. I think this is a management and owner issue. Owner is not doing required maintenance and updates that would be suitable for a 5-star hotel. I would not recommend this hotel. So many better options in Hanoi and for cheaper with the same amenities and working A/C.

This looks like an awesome hotel situated just opposite Lotte departmental mall, giving guests the great convenience of buying any regular sundries or having a cheaper meal as opposed to having them from the hotel. Excellent layout from lobby onwards that gives a grandiose ambience the moment you step in. Large swimming pool suitable for families, and very nice decor all round. Can't tell you anything about the rooms since I didn't stay there this time but I should reckon its great.

Nice not expensive hotel. Big rooms. Nice outside pool. Try to get a room with view to pool and lake. Otherwise you sleep on top of a busy and noisy crossroad. Large good breakfast buffet. Nice lounge and coffee shop sitting area. Friendly staff. Attention if you want to check in early whether you might have to wait until 13:00 because of heavy booking and full occupancy of the hotel.

A 5 star hotel which was clean . The breakfast choices are same everyday. If you want to eat in the hotel its too expensive. Location is far away from attractions. You may get a grab to the hotel but when you return the taxi will drop you off someplace and need to walk. Peak hours can't get grab. If you prefer sightseeing and no transport better stay somewhere else

The Daewoo is nice, the service and amenities are 5* but it's a dated. The rooms look like they've been the same for 20+ years. They're well maintained.

I have a bad experience at this hotel on May 25, 2023: 1. Booked a deluxe room, but when check in, got a twin room. 2. I checked in at 10pm but had to wait more than 15 minutes to get to the room. 3. No welcome drink. 4. The hotel lobby is large but there are no seats for guests. 5. Only 10pm hotel services are closed. 6. Breakfast buffet poor dishes. Pho every day, not as good as other dishes. 7. Electric kettle is too old, not safe. The power outlet is too old, can't plug the iphone charger. 8. Staff attitude is not good.

Stayed here for one week, over all the experience was good. The location of the hotel is amazing with everything you want in walking distance. The staff were all super friendly and helped me with getting new SIM card and money exchange. The only problem I had with the hotel was that it seems to be dated. It feels like it was the best hotel in town maybe 10 years ago but has not really kept up with the times …

I really like the Daewoo hotel Hanoi, on of the oldest luxury hotels in Hanoi. Beautiful building, amazing reception hall. Very cozy and clean. The quality of the breakfast is really good, the stuff is really friendly and helpful. But, the rooms really show, that the hotel is more then 20 years old and room wise, it is mu least favorite hotel. The rooms look so worn down and old fashioned, that I am always happy when I can leave.

Nice, huge rooms with a great view. I love the breakfast but after three or 4 days I got tired of the same food everyday. The pho is good. The coffee is fantastic.

Rooms are big and comfortable. I had one with view to the lake. Very nice. The furniture and carpet are a bit old and stained but otherwise clean. The pick-up from the airport did not work good unfortunately.

The hotel is a bit old, and it is next to an unfinished metro construction. However, the service is great, the staff is attentive, and the facilities are good. From check-in to check-out, the experience was pleasant and speedy. Location is good for shopping and dining.

Room is spacious. Not great but not bad either. Property is large with pool and nice garden. There is a nice Lotte supermarket conveniently located across the street.

3 months I spent to stay in this hotel. Luxury 5 stars hotel, the breakfast was very delicious with many variation. But as usual, I only take fruits. There's a swimmingpool outside so we can see it from the resto. Room is very large but furnitures seems like being old. There's a lottemart across this hotel.

I spent about a week here at the hotel and I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were comfortable and had all the essentials. Nicely air conditioned everywhere and an outdoor pool to cool down. Great breakfast range although the pizza ordered from room service could be better. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and staff are really friendly!

Great German restaurant downstairs! Try the ribs and the pilsner, perfection! The bread is also to die for and the sausages are exceptional.

I gave only 2 stars for location because the hotel was too far for where I needed to go. And traffic is bad the times I needed to go to stadium. But great location for shopping

This is the least accommodating hotel we have deal with during this COVID pandemic. They were happy to charge $2,500 AUD for 4 nights then COVID hit and we are trying to get a refund since March with no luck. You would have thought that they would be more accommodating since we can't leave the country! Now their response is that we need to stay before the end of the year or lose the booking. I have explained many times that the AU Gov will not open the borders until next year. Just bad bad customer service.
