It was the best food I had during my whole trip in Vietnam. Food here is really awesome! Really enjoyed the food & beers here! And definitely can’t forget about the attentive, professional and friendly service from Ms Hue! Thanks Hue for explaining the food so well in English ,so we understood about the food better. She really hyped up the atmosphere and so kind to stop us from ordering too much, not a pushy kinda person. Reminder: Rmb to make a reservation before coming because it’s always full house.

The spring rolls were fried to perfection, golden brown on the outside with a crunch and full of flavour on the inside. The chicken spring rolls were definitely the best I’ve had in Hanoi so far. The fried pork dish was exceptional, juicy and seasoned perfectly. Maria, our host, was very friendly and warm to welcome. She gave us many recommendations and even taught us the proper way to eat it! Overall, this dinner in Hanoi has definitely been the best with the amazing ambience and people working in it :)

This place was recommended by Harry @ Pine & Dine Skybar. As it was our first night in Hanoi, we didn't have any expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, food, and service. Cherry was very nice and patient as she showed us how to assemble our bun cha. Food was out of the world - tasty and nicely plated. At 9 p.m., the restaurant was still packed with patrons. The fish bun cha is a must try. Price as reasonable and portion was generous.

First time at Tung’s Kitchen and it was an amazing experience from the moment we stepped in. Our server, Maria was really patient and attentive to us, recommending dishes based on our likings. Some of the specials included the Fried Chicken Spring Rolls as well as the Cha Ca (Fried fish rolls). Not only was the food delicious, prices were affordable and worth it. Great atmosphere and drinks too. Highly recommended if you’re in Hanoi and looking for a place to eat!!!

Definitely one of the best restaurants we’ve been to so far! Such a sweet hidden gem that’s only managed to open up again recently! Really nice traditional Vietnamese food and we were demonstrated by the lovely lady Kitty, on how to have the food! Such a lovely woman very friendly and keen to share tips about Vietnamese culture! You have to go there and make this place lively again! Would 100% highly recommend

All I can say is “perfect” They gave me a warm welcome, helped me choose a good dish, asked me for appropriate cutlery choice and brought the food in a timely manner. All of that mixed with grace, great attitude and a genuine interest in making me feel comfortable. To top it the spring rolls were crunchy and delicious and the chicken was delicious! Definitely a place I’d come back to again and again.

Our first dining experience at Tungs Kitchen was fantastic. We had Kitty looking after us downstairs and look after us she did. With her assistance we ordered an amazing array of food to try and she also showed us how the food should be put together and eaten. Unfortunately it did all come at the same time and wouldn’t fit on our two person table but Kitty quickly moved us to a bigger table where we could eat comfortably. Upon leaving she also gifted me some of their rice paper which doesn’t need a quick soak in water like the ones I have previously used at home. The food and service was fantastic. It was so good that we made sure we came back again. This time we were seated upstairs. Once again the food came quickly and all at once so our table was too small again. I don’t think the young lady understood that we wanted to move to a bigger table and as the dishes wouldn’t fit I asked her to take two away and let us finish the two we ordered for entree first. These dishes were then just sat on a spare table near the stairs till we were ready, so unfortunately cold by the time we got to eat them but still delicious. Kitty asked me to review their Restaurant honestly so that is what I have done. Would have loved for the food to come out slower and at different times so we could take our time sampling their culinary delights. The restaurant would also benefit as being Aussies we love a drink or two with our food and was happy to spend more money the longer we were there 😉 Highly recommend this authentic restaurant, one of the best in Hanoi 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Got to this place because of all the amazing reviews and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Everything was amazing, from the drinks to the food!!! Everything single dish we ordered was top notch. Maple, our server, only made our dinner better by giving an 11/10 service. From helping us pick a dish (which was not easy, I wanted to order everything) to showing us how to properly eat our food. Always with an amazing, fun and friendly attitude and a big smile. Definitely dinning here again next time I come to Hanoi.

We had minced pork spring roll which is very good. The cashew nut prawn recommended by the friendly staff, Kei was yummy. Vegetarian fried rice was simple and nice, very addictive. We really enjoyed the pineapple pork soup too.

We had for a second time a lovely lunch. Kitty was great. She helped and explained what I can, and what I shouldn't eat, due to my milk allergy. We had various dishes both days. We tried fried meals, dried noodle dishes and wraps. The banana smoothie was lovely too. Thanks Kitty for the lovely meals.

Excellent Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi. The staff are very welcoming and gladly help you decide what to order. The service was quick and the food was delicious. Special mention to Kei who speaks great English and helped us choose vegetarian options. We ordered the Vietnamese pancake and stir fried noodles, both vegetarian and they were great :-) The ambience was very nice too. Highly recommended !

Came here after reading all the reviews and turns out they’re true. Kitty spoke excellent English and though every other guest was also a tourist, the family-run restaurant felt more like a home that was adept at introducing travellers to authentic Vietnamese cuisine and providing personalized recommendations. I would definitely recommend. Thanks, Kitty, for a wonderful memory of our last night in Hanoi!

We ordered Banh xeo because I wanted to try. simon recommended traditional fried fish and it was so good! Both dishes comes with fresh vege so you will actually wrap it. It’s pretty similar, if you are a couple, I would recommend traditional fried fish and order another stir fried stuff just to try different flavours! Simon is very attentive and took care of us well. He showed us the way to wrap the rolls and we are very happy with the experience even it’s on the pricier side :) Thanks alot! 💛

We actually sat upstairs on a small balcony area next to someone who was out there already. We spoke a little to him and it turned out he actually worked there and he recommended a few dishes to try which we ordered. The food was great, very fresh, tasty, and filling. The service was good, with the waiters asking us if we were okay a couple times. I'd definitely recommend going here if you're looking for a good place to eat. The person we spoke to on the balcony was Simon so great job from him!

I happened to know this restaurant through a foreign friend introduced when I first came to Hanoi. When I walked in, I felt a little apprehensive because all the guests were foreigners, I don't know if it's suitable for Vietnamese guests like me. But it really didn't let me down. The food is delicious, especially a staff member named Hugh is very enthusiastic, friendly and cute, guiding and helping me better understand the attractions in Hanoi. If I come back to Hanoi, I will definitely come here again.

The servers are very friendly and the vibe that they impart is very welcoming (thanks Maple!). The food is not the best I have had, but it is good. The pork belly was good, but the quail eggs were not, and the pineapple fish soup was bland. The balcony might be nice, but we did not get to try it. The egg coffee is very thick! The morning glory in garlic is very flavorful.

Had visited tungs kitchen during our stay at Hanoi. Beef stew was Flavourful and delicious. The stir fried eggplant was good. Fried chicken and rice was good. The chicken was moist. Veg Fried rice was disappointing And the coconut coffee was well made. They were generous with the crispy coconut shavings on it.

Tung's Kitchen was delicious! One of the best places we have eaten at during our time in Vietnam. Our server, Kitty, was super friendly and helpful. After dinner we were chatting and she even gave us a list of fun things she recommended in Hanoi (all very fun). The food was a level above most other places. It came out super fast as was as fresh as you could ask. We had the fresh spring rolls which were lovely but the stars of the show was the Bun Cha and fried fish. Kitty showed us how to roll spring rolls with our dishes so it was an experience as well as tasty. Really recommend!

Our food was delicious and the service was excellent despite being busy with a constant flow of new customers. Without a reservation we had to wait about 40 minutes, but it was well worth it. And there's plenty to do in this neighborhood to kill some time. Window shopping, real shopping or just people watching. We sat down for some tea at a little shop with sidewalk tables and the time flew by. For our dinner we chose grilled fish in banana leaf, southern style dried noodles and stir-fried morning glory w garlic as a veggie side. Everything is served family style to share at the table, so it's good to get some variety. The grilled fish is actually a build-your-own rice paper roll with lettuce, noodles and vegetable garnish, and a sweet and sour dipping sauce. Our server was very kind to take a few minutes to demonstrate the process. It's not difficult and I recommend it for anyone who's an adventurous diner looking for something different to try. The dried noodles aren't really dry as the name might suggest, just served without sauce or broth. Topped with thin sliced beef and bean sprouts, you stir it up while serving and it all comes together quite pleasantly. So, all-in-all an enjoyable dining experience, leaving us satisfied and happy to recommend Tung's Kitchen to anyone visiting Hanoi.

Went in here by myself as a vegetarian and my server kitty helped me with recommendations then really looked after me and made sure I had everything, topped up my sauce etc. Great experience and I highly recommend the veggie Vietnamese pancake. My server demonstrated (with gloves) how to make the first one and checked on me through my meal. One of the best dishes I had whilst in Vietnam!

Our server Na was so helpful and kind, guiding us through our dinig experience by offering recommendations of dishes to try, showing us how to properly eat them and also helping us learn some Vietnamese words! They also serve local craft beers and a variety of healthy fruits and juices. Highly recommended!

Great service from Tun and his team! To be honest, all the food we've had in Hanoi has been good but the service from this restaurant was a notch above. The stir fried beef had an interesting European fusion flavour to it which my other half appreciated 😁

Fantastic place and tasty food! Sitting upstairs and watching Hanoi's hustle and bustle was good fun! We had the green papaya salad and the stuffed squid, which was exquisite. The service was excellent and the waitress was friendly and only too happy to cater to my drink request. I really recommend this place. Thank you Tung's Kitchen and special thanks to Mango Team for making our visit so great! We will come again! We came back to this place 2 days later and my drink choice was perfectly remembered by the waitress, Annie, who was the attentive young lady who served us on our first visit. The food was, once again, excellent. I have a feeling that whatever you choose off the menu, you won't leave disappointed!

This restaurant was recommended to us by our tour guide. The food was delicious and so fresh. We loved it. We've just come back to Hanoi and had dinner here. Just as delicious. Went the pancake again gotta go the pancake, beef this time. Delish. Had chicken salad and fried spring rolls with it. Perfection. Thank you Kitty, good advice to go the beef pancake. And thanks for the secret to your salad dressing.

Two people, we ordered as appetizer fried spring rolls, which were smoking hot, crispy and extremely delicious, two drinks and two main dishes, shrimp with sweet and sour sauce and shrimp rice. Unfortunately, the main dishes were not as good as the rolls, the rice did not have much flavor and the shrimp was just OK. Perhaps we should have took something under their recommended section of the menu, server was fast and friendly and the place is cozy. Final bill came at 500.000 VND

We chanced upon this place on Google maps and gave it a try. And turns out, the food here is heavenly, delicious and our waitress Na's service was top notch. We ordered a host of local foods including egg drop coffee, braised catfish, chicken in ginger and spring rolls. The preparation and serving was absolute perfection. Even 5 star places in Western countries pale in comparison to this place.

We dined here and had fresh spring rolls, beef wrapped in beetle leaf, green mango salad, and Vietnamese pancake. Bin, our waiter, was very attentive and friendly. The staff had good English. The food was outstanding! Very tasty.

The server, Bin, was attentive and kind. His recommendation of a honey chicken dish was great. Presentation was lovely, and the honey-sauce has a very mild spice to warm up the mouth without being disturbing if you don't like spicy food. The egg coffee was beautiful but small. Enjoyable experience.

Really delicious. Definitely deserves it's five star rating. Reasonably priced. Great service. Lots of options to satisfy vegetarian and meat eaters a like. One of the best meals we had in Hanoi. The fried fish was out of this world. And the vegan pho was flavorful and came with lots of herbs and lime and chili.

Tung's kitchen is a hidden gem. Even though its interior does not immediately give one the impression, the food is very tasty and arranged to catch the guests eye. This comes with fair service, an interesting view on a crossroad, if one wants such, and a reasonable price tag. I can definately recommend this restaurant.

The food was superb. We ordered fried popiah, and it was very good. Our waitress was a lady named Kitty, super friendly and informative with the food guiding. She recommended bun cha (dry) and it was delish! She even taught us how to wrap it, very fun experience. Pho was alright, but my partner enjoyed it. We had egg coffee (taste like tiramisu, very good) and coconut coffee (it was ok). Overall, the vibes was super friendly, they speak english if you just needed a meal with no language barrier. This place is my favorite in Hanoi! We've been here for the second time and every time it's delicious! Portions are large and all ingredients are very fresh. Spring roll was born here with an egg omelet and a huge amount of vegetables, delight! Had to come back a few times. On our first visit, Dragon (manager) recommended that we get a few different types of spring rolls. So we got 3 different types. Before eating them, Dragon showed us how to roll the spring rolls. They were incredible. Felt like being in a garden while eating them...everything was so fresh and flavorful. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere and service. It's great to see that it's a family run business. We also met another couple there, which have become quick friends. All of us met back there on another occasion, and absolutely loved it.

Awesome little find in Hanoi. Went for an early lunch and the mark down in atmosphere was only because it was a little empty and we couldn’t sit upstairs. The food was all very tasty and well recommended by Bin, and enjoyed my first ever egg coffee! Would highly recommend for reasonably priced, very well presented and tasty food!

Small restaurant tucked in the old quarter of Hanoi. I was impressed with the beef fried noodles as the sauce was flavourful, the vegetables were well cooked and the portion was larger than most restaurants. Value for money for sure. One of the best bang for your buck restaurants in all of Hanoi. The staff speak fluent English, you can charge your phone by your table, the restaurant is air conditioned with a clean toilet and the food comes out within 15 minutes.

Best meal we’ve had in Vietnam! Everything we ordered was so delicious. We got the chicken spring rolls, beef mince wraps of some kind (they were on the list of special recommended items), the luk luk beef with cashews and fried dried noodles with beef. Everyone who worked there were so friendly and despite it being especially busy, the woman serving us took the time to show us how to make up the beef wraps in the rice paper. We lucked out with our timing as we had no wait for a table but, within 10 minutes, there was a massive queue out the door. So, maybe make a reservation if you’re on a time constraint. However, no matter the wait, it’s well worth it! We’ll definitely be dining here again before we leave. Edit: I just had to say we went a further 3 times before we left Hanoi (which sounds excessive for a 4 day visit to the city, but I can say every time we got completely different dishes from the menu and we’re NEVER disappointed.) I recommend asking the staff what to get. They recognized us each time we came in and always gave us anew suggestions, Kitty was especially helpful and gave us tutorials on how to eat each dish and always gave us a personalized welcome when she saw us come in. Be sure to get the fish or beef from the special menu, the curry and an egg coffee!! Just a few of our favorites ☺️

Wifey and I had an awesome time dining at perhaps the best find we've had in terms of authentic Vietnamese cuisine on the final day of our journey in this beautiful country. The menu was rather extensive but not overwhelming. As it's just both of us, our stomach capacity was obviously limited, so the ever-helpful staff Kitty recommended we have the pancakes (Ban Xeo) with beef and seafood pairing. She also demonstrated for us how to wrap the ingredients in the rice paper. We couldn't get enough of this awesome dish. Highly recommended. Btw, this restaurant also conducts regular cooking classes, do check it out if you're interested.

A very busy restaurant, obviously quite popular with tourists. I had a pho ga and the bamboo beef dish. Both were quite nice and the drinks were good as well. The atmosphere was great in the restaurant and I heard the staff give some suggestions for tourists. My only complaint is that I was with someone with mobility issues but they still gave us a seat in the upstairs dining area without elevator access. The stairs were quite steep but we managed to have dinner anyway, but this is just something to keep in mind if you come here without a booking.

What an amazing experience we had here at Tung’s kitchen. I had my first papaya salad here and quickly fell in love with the Vietnamese salad during our whole 1 month stay. They do not skimp on portions here and they even showed us how to build our own wraps. The staff is friendly and fun and the atmosphere is great. They get you seated quickly and food comes pretty fast as well. Definitely recommend this place if you are in Hanoi! Best restaurant and food in Vietnam!

We came here because the other restaurant we were going to was busy. This place wound up being better than our original plan. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious, healthy, and reasonably priced. We had the chicken spring rolls, beef wrapped in betel leaf and Vietnamese pancakes (banh xeo). It was soooo delicious. We will be back!

This is one of the best and most authentic Vietnamese food I had in my time at Hanoi. The food was really good with sufficient portion. The menu had english and was very easy to read. The main upside of the restaurant is the incredible service by the staff, especially the manager Mr Long. Mr Long recommended the bestsellers/must try food in Hanoi to us. He explained and demonstrated to us how to eat and enjoy the various dishes and went out of his way to chat with us and understand our food preference. There was no hard selling or “forced order” by him. He also helped us take pictures and made the entire eating experience a relaxing and warm one. This is a definitely must-go restaurant in Hanoi! Keep up the good work!

My husband and I came across this place by accident for dinner one night and had a fantastic meal so decided to return the following night. The waitress Kitty remembered us and gave us some tips about what to order. The first night I had the black pepper stir fried beef which was divine. The second night I had the pork sausage rice paper rolls. Honestly the best food we had in 3 weeks in Vietnam. With fantastic service by Kitty also. We will be back whenever we're next in Hanoi!

Restaurant geared toward tourists, with delicious authentic food, extremely good service, and a clean atmosphere. Excellent place to end our trip in Vietnam after eating street food for most of the week! Our server was Tun and he was very attentive to our needs

Mango Team is the best! We were here on our last night in Vietnam and were looking for the best spot for traditional Vietnamese food with a nice atmosphere. We are so glad we found Tung’s Kitchen from Google Reviews! The food was the best we had in Vietnam, so fresh, and the service was so nice and quick as well! We had a great seat overlooking the streets of Vietnam to enjoy our last night!

Angel, the waitress, was lovely and very helpful. She helped me find the right food with a few of my dietary needs. The vegetarian spring rolls and the fried eggplant were delicious. The food came super quick. I am definitely coming back. Yes, a table for one was not an issue. There were also a few other solo travellers in the restaurant and the set up was suitable for both families, big groups as well as solo visitors.

I love this place. We went here like 5 times over our stay and enjoyed it every time. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are all friendly. I don't know all the servers' names, but they're all nice. Nhat is so lovely and bright. My favourite dish is the pineapple chicken, it comes with rice and salad so it's a good-sized meal. All of the juice and smoothies are also yummy. I will miss this restaurant and come back next time I come to Hanoi. My one top pick. 🤞😘

👍👍 It's such a great and wonderful Pizza 🍕 😋 I ever have. I can't explain how wonderful it is. Also Spaghetti 🍝 😋 was so good. They cooked 80% for the spaghetti. For half chicken teriyaki and half 4 cheeses, is such a very good smell from the charcoal stove. It's very harmonized tasted in one full...

👍👍 Probably one of our most memorable meals was at this amazing restaurant in Hanoi. The service was excellent and so was the food. We loved the flavours and the cocktails were on point. The minimalist decor was really nice and spacious. We ended up ordering a lot of food and drinks as we were famished...
