This was my first time visiting Aeon mall, and we ended up coming after 7pm thinking we'd avoid traffic. Well, if you don't like crowds, don't come here at night! 😂 It was absolutely packed!! The pictures I took really don't give a good sense of how many people there were. There was a car lineup just to drive into the parking lot. When we entered the grocery store we were literally (not figuratively) shoulder to shoulder with people for 75% of the time, and the other 25% of the time we barely had arms length room to move. During a pandemic that's probably less than desirable, especially with a baby in tow. We only had time to do some groceries, so I really only got a chance to see that part of the mall, but the food selection was quite extensive. And for foreigners like me, there's a good selection of products like cheese, butter, and peanut butter, as well as North American health and beauty products that I had trouble finding at the smaller local stores. We did rush through quite a bit though as there were just too many people, which may have partly been due to tet right around the corner, and so we skipped over a number of isles. On our way out though we stopped off quickly at the Aeon bakery to grab a bunch of baked treats and they were delicious! Looking forward to checking out the rest of the place during the day when it's hopefully less packed, and seeing what else there is to offer. As a side note, there's also a McDonald's here, so that might interest a few.

We went on a Friday evening with the thought of grocery shopping and then having dinner. All the restaurants were full with lines around 7pm. The mall was very crowed. A little after 9pm, all the restaurants were closing and so could not have dinner at this mall. We came out of the mall around 9:20pm and there were already so many people waiting and calling for taxis. We tried walking away from the Mall to try to see if there were some other areas which were not crowded to call a taxi, but failed and returned to the mall. There is really nothing in the surrounding area. We barely got a Grab Bike to take the two of us. The mall itself was nice and good, but it was just so crowded with difficulty getting a ride out of the mall which made the experience unpleasant.

Great place, lots of different brands but the best part for me is food court with different options. I love their sushi and noodle soup options. Just only problem is rush hours you can't find a place to seat and eat your food 😁 sometimes I wait 5-6 minutes holding my hot noodle soup and walking around.

I want to give it 4* but then I remember the food there is so good. The sushi is pretty decent and fresh (do not try the Prawn sushi though, it was kinda bad). Oh and you should try Texas chicken, really good. That's all for now as I only went there for food, not for shopping.

I was fooled to trust the quality of groceries sold inside the Aeon supermarket. I bought a pack of the so called Australian oranges for my grandma and found out that there's only fibre and almost no water content inside the oranges. I also bought some mussels for myself to make dinner and it went bad when I opened it. A supermarket by Japanese doesn't mean it's always good is what I realized. I will come back solely shopping for clothes and maybe eating at restaurant here.
