A quaint shop in the busy streets of Hanoi that you have to pop by! My friends and I were caught by the beautiful motifs and colors of their items. A proud owner now :) The staff is friendly, helpful and he made great effort to package it to the smallest details :)

Had a great time at my first pottery workshop (USD 35 for 3 hours including one finished product which you can bring home); the patient and friendly teacher made the workshop incredibly enjoyable!

Authentic Batrang ceramic pottery class Mr Tu showed us the technique to make our own pottery in his class. The workshop was literally around the corner from the shop. Unfortunately our flight home was that day so we didn’t have time to fire and take home our own pieces however we got two small items free from the shop and bought two more at 10% discount. Hands down the best experience we had in Hanoi. Highly recommend!

Pretty sweet pottery class for those who can't make it to Bat Trang outside of Hanoi. The guys that run it are really nice and patient when you mess up. You pretty much spend a few hours trying new creations. I somehow was worse at the end Vs the beginning but it was fun. Ideally do it at the beginning of your trip so you can arrange to go back once your craft is dry and you can colour or glaze it. I left on the same day so couldn't take one of my own. I was able to choose an "equivalent" from their shop - which is full on amazing stuff which is definitely not equivalent to what I made so I just had to pay the difference. Highly recommend, especially if you're willing to get amongst and creative. Bring a jacket as it can be cold in the workshop.

Love! We’re from the UK and this was one of our last stops during our year of travelling! We went here just to have a look but just had to buy something to remember Vietnam and a gift! Obviously we were nervous about the transport but they made it! The owners/workers wrapped our two teapots and 4 mugs, and saucer tightly with plenty of padding using cardboard. Obviously they do this multiple times a week for those travelling. We made it through the airports home with them in our hand luggage and we were chuffed when we finally unwrapped them and they did have a chip or crack! They have a great selection. There are a few pieces that are ‘branded’ but there are plenty simple one off pieces to choose from too. It is a little overwhelming so much selection. I would recommend going in without a backpack. We saw a close call when a tourist tried to come in with a large backpack and almost taking out a whole shelf!

The pottery workshop was fantastic! Really chilled and calm, and you could make anything you wanted with a bit of guidance and help. We unfortunately arrived on our last day in Hanoi, but the owner shipped to our hotel in HCM for a reasonable price. The package was amazingly well wrapped too, I’d have no worries about sending more if we visit again! Thank you to all the staff, what a great experience 👍

Myself and my family came here and did the pottery workshop after booking through TripAdvisor. The workshop was so fun, and we got a lot of help, which was great. Alongside the 2.5-hour workshop, you have around 30 minutes to go to the shop and choose what glaze you want for your piece. They then take it away, fire and glaze it for you, and you can collect it in a few days. You can get extra pieces done for a small fee. Overall, it was one of the most fun experiences we had in Ha Noi and for an excellent price. Thank you so much!

My husband and I took a pottery class here. Our teacher was so lovely and patient. We got a lot of time to play and make pieces which was fun. They are going to ship them to us which is much appreciated. The piece in the shop were also beautiful and of much higher quality than other places near by. I cannot recommend highly enough!

My partner and I attended the pottery workshop and we really enjoyed it. It was our first time trying pottery and the instructor was very friendly & helpful and spoke great english. We ended up taking home every piece we made as well as purchasing a few handmade items from the store. Highly recommend checking them out.

Great little ceramics store on P. Hàng Gai. Selling all sorts of handmade products from Bát Tràng, where theyve got a second shop. The glazes are so beautiful, and although we didnt buy anything purely decorative, some of the painted platters and vases are gorgeous The shopkeeper was extremely helpful as we browsed, bringing out similar items to what we were looking at from the upstairs level. He also did a great job of securely packing everything for our flight. If you are in town for a few days, you could also book a ceramics class and try your hand at crafting something yourself. The one piece of advice id give is to check out the bottom of any piece you are looking to buy. The 'real' ones will say; "Authentic Bát Tràng", whereas they also carry some that are not home-made, or ordered from elsewhere

We did the pottery class and it was great fun! The staff are all so helpful and fun. You get one piece fired for free but can make as many as you like for a very reasonable fee after that. Make sure you go at the start of your time in Hanoi because it can take up to a week to fire the pottery, but if you're only staying for a short time, ask if they'll post your creations to you, they were very happy to do so.

Partner and I signed up for the ceramics workshop on same day at the store and it was super fun, with very helpful and friendly staff. For $35USD per person, you can make as many items on the pottery wheel as you want within a 2.5-3hour time period. They provide 1 free firing and glazing (4 choices of glaze) and every additional piece glazed & fired is $5USD, regardless of size. Firing takes 1-3 days. They will demonstrate how to make a cup, a bowl and a vase, but you can create anything you want, and they will also advise you if the piece is good or how to fix it. Definitely something worth trying if you’re in Hanoi for more than 2-3 days!

Did the pottery class here and absolutely loved it. So much freedom to make what we wanted and to experiment, but also guidance when needed. Will definitely return

Nice place if you don't have time to Bat Trang, the price is reasonable also. I took my US friends to this place and they really enjoyed it. (You should try in your early days in Hanoi since it will takes 3 days to dry)

Little ceramic shop in the corner. They sell good looking ceramic kitchen utensils. They also offer classes for making ceramic pottery for $ 25 . After the class you can get them heated and prepared, which takes 4 days. You get heart and finish one item you make for free.

Best quality ceramics! The pottery is unique compared to what the other stores offer and the ceramics are stamped and handmade. Great service. The store will package for traveling (I felt comfortable putting the ceramics in my checked luggage). Great packaging!

My husband and I went Authentic Battrang for an afternoon pottery class. You don’t have to book just turn up. The class we did ran from 2pm and goes for 3 hours. They take you to a nearby area upstairs where you are shown by a local pottery maker the techniques, spoke in English by a guide. You then have multiple attempts to form and create your own item. Du was extremely helpful when our attempts failed and we all shared in laughter. You get to choose an item to keep or if you don’t want your own creation you can choose something from the shop. Leave at least 3 days for your item to dry, fire and glaze. This meant that Authentic Battrang will swiftly ship our creations when ready. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I did the pottery class which Is around the corner from the storefront. It was a lot of fun. The instructor was very patient. One price to take home was included in fee and additional pieces had an extra nominal cost. Recommend doing class at least a week before leaving if you want to take your pieces hike since it will take time to dry and fire the pottery.

Wonderful pottery class, a very good and welcoming teacher who is happy to help and teach tourists on how to make the pottery. Although it would be great if the teacher could give a warning that the pieces made in the class will shrink and be much smaller than expected. Nonetheless, the shop is very nice and quaint, with many beautiful pieces for a very affordable price.

Cute ceramics store with nice items. We did a pottery class, the instructor was very nice and patient. You need to do the class at the start of your visit though cause the pieces need a few days to dry so you can paint them to then take them home. They don’t flag this when you book the class.

One of the best experiences I had in Hanoi! The teacher was excellent and helped me make a number of great pieces in the 2.5 hours. Extra care was taken in the packing of my items which was a really nice touch.

👍👍 Had my first Egg coffee for breakfast here. The place is a typical street cafe with low seating chairs. The taste was good (a bit sweet though), the service is speedy and the price affordable (30k). Nothing really negative, definitely good value for price.
