Taking up a 4,000 m2 space at the Vincom Megamall shopping center, the VCCA is not only the largest art center in Vietnam, but also the most unique, providing ample natural light throughout an underground zone. The VCCA is a meeting point for artists, individuals and organizations that share the goal of contributing to and developing the Vietnamese contemporary art scene. The VCCA’s mission is to build bridges towards bringing contemporary art to the wider public, to inspire, and to help engender a healthy environment for practitioners, ultimately to elevate the cultural life within the country.

The self-labelled "Vincom Center for Contemporary Art" is large underground exhibition space, saved from being another parking lot. It is is no way an art “center” and the presentation of diascope projected or TV-screen displayed low resolution photos of famous paintings by Claude Monnet and Pierre Bonnard is not really contemporary. The label of the exhibition is “digital” and that is in this case just a joke. Compared with the Magister Raffaello Exhibition (in Oct 2020, in Hanoi Museum), Vincom Art Center has is no way brought the atmosphere of European museums to visitors who mostly don’t have the chance to visit the original places; Vincom Art Center has not archived to give an impression of 100 years old painting to viewers: the photographs are presented in changing mode, unmotivated enlarged or diminish and in mediocre quality, so the process of painting, the paint itself cannot be seen or understand. The cultural, economic and social background cannot be assessed- Art is reduced to exchangeable wall decoration. What a pity. As such a rich company as Vincom is, they could do more to bring insight and understanding of art to shoppers and strollers of the mall. I hope the next expositon will be better. (Monet / Bonnard, April 2021) And a bicycle parking for 10.000D seams really exagarted.

Come for check-in materials if that's your thing. Otherwise, don't expect too much from a corporate-funded space which cares more about attracting foot traffic than elevating the art scene. Also just look at how casual visitors are about interacting with the artworks.

Big hall and good exhibition schedules. Happy to have art events in Hanoi for family to visit.

Went to the 2022 Foliage IV exhibition, which examined the relationship between plant life and the human world. Modern, thought-provoking artworks of diverse materials from amazing curation. Definitely worth checking out the website for more exhibitions.

If you’re expecting a big art gallery that features art by Vietnamese artists, or even contemporary art in general, I’d say steer clear of this place because it’s not at all what you may expect. When I went it was digital projects of Frida Khalo art and people were taking Instagram photos next to projected text. It was super disappointing and there was no art to see. The “gallery” is also deep inside a mall which gives it a corporate feeling. If you’re in Hanoi, I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time.

Pros: Free entrance, relatively easy to find. Similar to other Art-mall. Cons: filled with teenagers who occasionally lean on to painting to get a good portrait taken (art abuser). Noisy and crowded.

It was a pleasure standing next to this timeless contemporary sculpture :). This piece is a staple when you come here, don't miss out.

Nice exhibition with some interesting art works. More popular as being background or lighting for pictures by school/hot/IG-girls.

A little underwhelming, it's not really an art museum, but simply a space with lots of projectors, projecting paintings onto the walls. Most visitors are teens, young peopld with little to no knowledge / taste in art, simply coming here to snap photos for their social media, with deep quotes already printed on the walls and dimmed lighting. It's more of a playground for social media lovers than art lovers.

On one hand it is good to be able to visit a museum, on the other hand, the entire complex feels fake and like in Wall-e... it is a huge discrepancy between what is right outside the walls of this "city". But again congratulations that there is a museum for contemporary art.

Their online ads looks so professional that we set quite high expectation. It turns out the worst exhibition we went to

Basically a scam. There was one exhibit, if you could even call it that, in a big room.

It is pretty small. Visited the A tide of emotions installation. Beautiful however the lighting let down the artwork, in my opinion. Bright white light took away from the potential and made for really difficult photos. Pity

Not worth visiting. Very small and less then 10 paintings. All look very similar and no description of the paintings.

There are no free entrance. No information about fee on website too. We have spent more than an hour to get there. So, when we saw price in a few times more expansive than to entrance to fine art museum we have to say “f&£k this kind of socialism” and go out. It’s fundamentally. Thank you.

This has to be one of the best spots for art lovers in Hanoi. Free entrance on everyday of the week. I went to visit when "This is not a dream" was the exhibition on display. The art pieces were shown in digital form which makes the exhibition a quite unique one. Highly recommend to anyone who looks for an artistic experience in Hanoi.

Very disappointed with this museum I felt like the whole space was in disrepair. The letters were falling of the museum logo at the entrance, several works on the wall were extremely crooked, and seemingly there was no security or anyone watching the art. Also very difficult to find this place from street level. There were good pieces on display when i went, but it was primarily a space for kids to take cool pictures :(

One of the most famous and exciting art centers in Hanoi. It holds the contemporary art exhibitions, digital classical masterpiece exhibitions such as Van Gogh, Monet, Klimt, Scheile, .etc, as well as other art activities (e.g: classical concerts, opera concerts,...). You can come here every day to live among the world of amazing art and join interesting activities.

Really loved the exhibition but I think there should be some sort of maintenance or watch so people don’t randomly touch the paintings or fragile sculptures

Its a good space for contemporary art. Eventhough the quality varies a lot

The curator could have prepared for the exhibition better, ie information about the 2 artists and those paintings

I expected more content but unfortunately there was not much.

A large museum space for contemporary arts to demonstrate the POV toward current environment problem. The minus point is that it has less guidance and poor content for audience.

A big department store (shopinshop). Big Zara- fast fashion but presented as luxury?! Lots of the usual sports stores. A few cosmetic brands where you can sample the product. Quite unusual here unless you are I a department store.

Fascinating place with the best exhibitions as always. Open space with possibility to make photos and enjoy masterpieces.

Horrible Service. The exhibitions are poorly managed with kids dancing and filming tik tok videos. I called the phone number that appears in the info column to ask about the entrance fee and so on. This woman picked the phone up and her poor attitude disgusted me. I can believe that this is considered one of the top 10 art institutions in Vietnam. So disappointed!!! I do NOT recommend this place.

Small but very nice gallery inside the Royal City Mall. Open late. At one end of the top underground level. Impressive collection of pieces and two exhibits showing contemporary artists. I really enjoyed this place.
