In the recent years in Hanoi, there has been a trend of coffee places with minimalistic decor. I have seen so many of them, which made me very impressed with Oldie Chum - the place that stood out. The way they choose to decorate this place matches very well with the alley the place is in: quiet and poetic. I suggest you sit in the porch swing if you come alone, to feel lifted by the wind a little. However, the menu needs serious improvement, with more updated-to-trend drinks so that it can match youngsters more.

Love this place - stopped by in the evening with daughter for coffee and a fab mojito. Great calm atmosphere, old music (Loui Armstrong), cats and dogs wandering around keeping the children happy.

Delightful suburban cafe tucked away in the back streets of Ba Đình. Bright, cheerful and colorful enclosed upstairs balcony with cushion seating and wooden box tables is a highlight, although you'll have to take your shoes off and leave them downstairs. Menu is drinks and snacks; the cá phê nâu/cá phê sữa was suitably strong. Cheerful and friendly waiter spoke excellent English at time of visit (Sunday midday).

Friendly staff, good chill music, comfy seating upstairs but remember to take off your shoes. Very sweet pug dog and a shy cat. You must, must try the banana coffee. Soooo good. Banana smoothie meets espresso. Reminds me of a dirty banana from Jamaica minus the rum. I will be back for more.

Superb homestay with a really, really sweet host. They treated their guests with utmost caring and hospitality. We also rented 2 motorbikes here for our 5 day Ha Giang loop and it went superb. We also had a nice night after coming back to Hanoi. Definitely recommended.

A really nice homestay with central location, attentive staffs and very comfy bed. They sao have a really good motorbike rental service here. We rented 3 bikes here for a week and didn't have any problems.

I rented a puff from the family's place and it was very good. There is an independent top family room with city view.

Room ok for the price. Right near Hoan Kiem Lake, easy to travel. The staff is enthusiastic and they also rent motorbikes.

Rooms are okay. I find it convenient because it's right near Sword Lake. If you want to go further, there is also a motorbike rental service here.

Renting a car here is a quick and easy procedure. Enthusiastic consulting staff and additional accessories such as raincoats and ropes are available. The car is ok. 5 star service.
