Stopped here for a quick dinner nearby Pub street. I was really pleasantly surprised with the high quality of food provided here. Everything was fresh and tasty. Portion size was perfect. I would definitely recommend getting the Special bowl when going, this is a combo of Pork, Paté and other bits that combine to make a delicious meal. I was surprised the restaurant wasn't packed with people given the quality of food.

I may have a different reference point for xoi, having lived in Hanoi previously for 8 months, and eating mostly well outside the touristic (but wonderful) Old Hanoi. I was surprised by how different the offerings were from what I saw on the posters on the wall, and by the fact that they didn’t offer anything from the “trộn” menu, nor have it on their apparently completely revised menu. Nonetheless, the food was ok, seating was comfortable and the staff were pleasant, although they understood almost no English. (Menu was in English, though.)

Xoi Xiu has a modern aesthetic on the inside. We came here to try their sticky rice and it was indeed very enjoyable! They have an English menu with product photos all around for easy ordering, and the young guy working there could briefly communicate in simple English as well. We ordered the Char Siu Sticky Rice, adding on the Chinese Sausage, and their Caramelised Pork & Egg Sticky Rice. We also ordered 2 additional Eggs. The Caramelised Pork is a much lighter shade than the usual Chinese braised pork that we're used to, but the flavour is awesome! (Only weird bit was all the photos we saw online and in store was of braised eggs, but our boiled eggs were fried on the outside? No biggie, everything was still yummy, we're just confused.)

Excellent quality. A bit oily for me but it's fine nevertheless. Sticky rice is kept steamy hot and the toppings are all superb. Simply on another level compared to other brands, which as of now has became rather commercialized and lost their charms.

We didn't really stay long here. Just had a couple of amazing and tasty food. Wow. My husband had the number 1 on their menu and I had the number 2 which is the caramelized pork with egg. So delicious, I was surprised that my husband finished his bowl when he doesn't really like pork 😂 😂 Anyway, the person who accommodated us speaks English. definitely recommending this place.

Very good sticky rice with caramelized braused pork. They offer an English menu. You can sit upstairs on a balcony watching the street. Please note, that the name of the restaurant seems to have changed to Genz.

This place was a few steps away from our hotel so we decided to try this for dinner. Ordered the Sticky Rice Special and the Grilled Pork Chop Broken Rice. It came with a bean sprout soup. The owner was very busy but she was kindly explained the menu to us. The food was great, I especially loved the pork chop when dipped into the fish sauce! 😍 There is an upstairs seating and also a balcony seating. Do be careful as the stairs are steep. Staff was nice and helped to turn on the aircon for us when we went up. There are toilets and it’s relatively clean :)

Nice local restaurant, nice food. Best busy street view if you sit on the second floor balcony. The food came in big portion and is super cheap.

Sticky rice soft and easy to eat. Taste is good and not too salty. Service also good and price normal, also you can add more toppings you like for reasonable price. Place also good to stay longer and enjoy your coffee

I went there not knowing what to expect and I have to say it was fantastic. I ended up buying another bowl just to try more of the menu. Both bowls were so good and full of flavour! Highly recommend to anyone👍

Came here for a light (quiet) supper away from the crazy crowds of beer street. This place is more expensive and hipster than the area but i really enjoyed the sticky rice and the orange jasmine tea drink. Ordered the special with a mix of toppings.

Stumbled upon this place when looking for lunch. Had the char siu and vietnamese sausage bowls. Both very good but preferred the char siu. Prices were affordable, and the owner was super nice too!

American viet here and ive most of the food in hanoi: banh xe, cha la lot, bun reiu, banh da cua, cha gio, bun cha, etc. However, the one place I would eat everyday would be here. Order the broken rice with everything on it for 60000VN. It comes with this plate plus a bowl of tomato soup.
