Beautiful restaurant. We had Vietnamese coffee, Egg Coffee and Coconut lychee drink. All drinks were very tasty. It was our first time trying the egg coffee and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant has great atmosphere and staff is lovely. The prices are reasonable. Overall it was a great experience.

I stepped into Ban Cong Cafe and Restaurant because I had heard wonderful things about the architecture. I was enthralled with the place - the staff were attentive and helpful, the interiors were beautiful, and the food I ordered (Bun Cha) was delicious! I enjoyed myself in the cafe, didn't even realize when an hour flew by! Love the light jazz music playing in the background. While the street foods in Hanoi are a gem, this experience is unique too and I Highly recommend!

Very good respite from the hectic Old Quarter of Hanoi. Mix of Vietnamese and Western dishes-- we a very good burger, salad, and ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce. Nice Italian wine. Very tasty mousse for dessert. All in all a very good place to escape after a day of sightseeing in crazy busy, chaotic Hanoi!

Cute place located right in the middle of the old quarter. I love their decorations, cozy ambiance and super friendly service. If it’s possible, pls ask the staff for balcony seats and look down to the one of the busiest street of the old quarters and feel the beat of Hanoi. I’ll definitely come back!

Really lovely place with a strong sense of history songs to the charm. The staff do their best to accommodate menu changes for fussy types like myself (vegetarian). Genuinely friendly staff. Huong (hope I got that right) was the friendliest. Went out of his way. 👍👍👍

Lovely place in the heart of Hanoi! We had lunch at the top floor and the atmosphere was great, really cool decorated. Service was impeccable and the menu offers good options, can pick from vietnamese dishes to some Europeans ones.

While residing in the old quarter, I discovered this charming cafe that instantly caught my eye. Intrigued by its quaint atmosphere, I decided to step inside. Opting for the mango and chili drink, I found it to be a delightful and unique flavor combination that I genuinely enjoyed. The cafe itself exuded a certain historical and cosy atmosphere that added to the overall appeal. Despite its undeniable charm, it's important to note that this place leans towards the more expensive side of the spectrum. However, the friendly staff, who spoke fluent English, contributed to a positive experience. Their warmth and hospitality made the slightly higher prices more palatable. Beyond the beverages, what sets this cafe apart is its aesthetic. It serves as a picturesque setting, making it an ideal spot for capturing memories with photographs. There's a subtle hint of French colonial influence in the ambiance, adding a historical and cultural touch to the overall experience. In summary, while acknowledging the higher pricing, I found this cafe to be a delightful spot for those looking to immerse themselves in a bit of French colonial charm in Hanoi. The combination of unique drinks, a cute ambiance, and the opportunity for aesthetically pleasing photos make it a worthwhile visit, despite the cost.

Oh my! I was lured into this place by the sight of the large croissants and pain au chocolates in the window!! What a wonderful, little (as they always are in Vietnam) place. With service on par with a posh London restaurant, we were greeted and directed to the upstairs seating area. There’s a small terrace area outside but we chose to sit inside, in the aircon! The menu is brilliant and, one look and I decided to forgo the croissant and go for the English Breakfast. As an Englishman, I was prepared for this to be not quite what it was advertised as. How wrong I was!! Everything, bar the sausage, was easily on par with the rest of the restaurant. Clean , delicious and beautifully presented! As an English sausage lover, the sausage was good but not quite like an English sausage. If you’re hankering after some European cuisine on your Vietnamese tour, come here!!

The ambiance, the food, the music, the coffee, the environment. All of them are absolutely deserving of a 5-star review. While this place isn’t as cheap as other drop-in places, you’re getting such great value for your money. Definitely would come back. The bun cha and egg coffee were so great.

Unassuming yet superbly amazing. Food is of highest quality and taste. Service was also on point. Only downside is the aircon might not be that powerful at the 3rd/4th floor as it is an old building. Overall still would return! 11/10

Great little gem in the heart of th Old Quarter. Staff was very welcoming and nice. I tried the hot phin chocolate and the passion mousse which were overall tasty and good. Decoration is amazing, like an old ancient house from colonial time. A great place where I will come back. No plastic use 🙂

Whenever I visit a restaurant, I cannot finish the full plate of food. My plate was completely empty when I finished it, and the food was delicious. I loved the cold brew and the creamy mushroom spaghetti chicken. We loved the service provided and were drooling over the dessert that was suggested as well.Great environment with great food

This is indeed a nice cafe however the restaurant part is rather poorly managed. It took forever for the food to come and the food didn’t come all at once. Noodles dish was cold, we returned it to the kitchen just to end up with another colder plate of food. The waitress kept telling us that food would be coming in 10 minutes several times. It took about an hour for the salmon come and the salmon was dry. Compare to the average food price in Vietnam, this surely is on the more expensive side, sadly, it was a bad experience service wise and food wise.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is really, really nice. The second floor also has a flower shop you can visit, that makes everything look a bit bohemian, magical and classic. Our food was also tasty, although we ordered normal burgers and some special summery drinks.

I got a paiting workshop at Bancong on Sunday afternoon, but I visited the floral shop at the 3rd floor when I waited the workshop opened. It was floral shop but the flowers were not fresh at all so you can go to take a look only, they charged for photoshoot fee also so please ask them before taking photos. The cafe shop were crowded and they’ve got friendly staffs who helped me to clean the water when I crashed my drinks on the table. They support the workshop carefully too, the atmosphere are funny and interesting with the host and his assistance. Using red wine to paint a picture will be a good chance to get something new experience so I will recommend this one!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon after strolling around the Old Quarter. Glad I found this place. Very warm and chill atmosphere, designed like a Hanoi old house. Recommend going to the 3rd floor for the crossroads view. Drink is okay. It’s better to come here during the week to get a table out the balcony because it can get busy on the weekends.

Nestled in the heart of Hanoi’s old quarter, this restaurant seamlessly merges Vietnamese authenticity with European flair. Boasting a charming balcony with scenic views, it really creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The spring rolls were a highlight, bursting with flavour. My partner indulged in a juicy burger. The greek salad I had was average, but it’s a salad.. Overall, great place.

Second time at this restaurant. I had dinner this time (loved breakfast so came back). Cam Tu provided great service being attentive, Very friendly and welcoming. All the dishes I had (starter, main, dessert) were great. Steak was perfectly cooked with very tasty peppercorn sauce. Very good wine selection too. I love that menu has Vietnamese and western dishes so something to suit everyone.

I was in the cafe today (Decembre 21st 2023) and it's an understatement to say that I was satisfied. The restaurant is located in a very beautiful and attractive place in the heart of Hanoi. From the balcony there is a wonderful view of the tradition and daily life of the inhabitants of this city. I had the special honor of having the young, beautiful and polite Mrs. Tu at my service, who is the true pearl of this cafe. I recommend everyone who visits Hanoi to come here and enjoy traditional Vietnamese coffee and beautiful flavours.❤️🇻🇳

Old building with a lovely facade. Friendly staff and gorgeous interior. The Bún Chả was delicious and the various fruit drinks were a welcome boon on this hot and humid afternoon. Definitely worth a visit if you have an hour or two to spare whilst walking around the Old Quarter in Hanoi.

It was not a happy experience here. The staff kept staring at us when we brought the homemade birthday cake inside. After about 1h, they asked to charge us 50.000 vnd for the cake because it was not theirs. They should’ve tell us from the start or mention on the menu. The way they talked to customers made me insane and it destroyed our meeting. I”ll never come back. Besides the drinks is overrated and expensive. If you want to have local coffee, try the opposite cafeteria. They have real experiences.

The decor of this cafe is epic, surrounded by wooded furniture, dried flowers and old oil portraits. They offer a variety of options which are all signature dishes from both Vietnamese and Western cuisine. My dish of choice was veggie nachos. Definitely will come back and highly recommended for Mexican food lovers!!

I really enjoyed the ambiance! The natural flowers at the table was a nice touch cause most places always put fake flora and fauna. The Bun Cha was excellent! The stir fried pho was pretty good as well but it was much thicker than I thought. A little bit touristy but a really nice place nonetheless.

I wasn’t sure what to rate this place. From the reviews on Google, the majority of them are good. We visited twice in 24 hours. The first time round we came and ordered a selection of desserts and drinks. Delicious. Great service. The next evening we decided to try it for dinner. The four of us had soup to start. It was super tasty. We asked for some bread. It eventually came out midway through our main courses (pointless at this stage!). The waiters are quick to sit you and drinks come very quickly. As does the food so we were disappointed with the bread now coming so late. One of our party ordered a steak, medium done. Frankly it was further than well done. He asked for something different. The burger and the club sandwich were extremely average and personally I felt were a little bit bland. I do feel bad as like I said the waiters are great in the place but it’s a shame about the cooking. The manager did come and apologise when we were waiting for the replacement meal the arrive. Not sure if I’d go back. It was very busy with two big party of guests beside us so this could have contributed to things.

We were looking for a good place for coffee and breakfast in one sitting and found this amazing restaurant. Prices are fair. Our server Ngan was very sweet and attentive. She also spoke very good English. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed our coconut coffee, chocolate croissant and eggs Benedict. 10/10 would recommend

Go here for cute pics upstairs (3rd floor!) The food was amazing, there is a mix of authentic Vietnamese, more western style food, and even pasta on the menu. I had the coconut coffee and had to get another one, it’s life changing and I would highly recommend! The only things I would change is that my friend and I got our food 10 mins apart, and we couldn’t find the wifi password and had to ask a server. The service was very professional. Good breakfast as well!

Beautiful building and well designed cafe. The drinks are amazing. I'm disappointed with the menu. Caters for the Western palate and doesn't seem to promote the Vietnamese cuisine. So sad. The staff are uber friendly and welcoming. Recommend for drinks. Shame about the basic Vietnamese menu. Love a little Western peeps.

Bancông Cafe is an amazing place! I went there with my family before Christmas Eve mass at the Nhà Thờ Lớn. It is a charming place with stellar views of the Old Quarter. If you’re lucky enough to snag a seat from one of the balcony spots, you’ll be able to see some of the unique buildings in the area as well as people watch and admire the congested Hanoi traffic below. In the upper level, you’ll be welcomed by a fragrant aroma of flowers hung-dry from the ceiling. Take the time to slow down and inhale the flowers and take a great selfies by the mirror. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the egg coffee there. It is smooth and a good caffeine kick to give you the courage to cross the bustling streets of Hanoi. ;p. You can also get a refreshing smoothie or Healing Tea to quench your thirst. My family enjoyed spring rolls there but I’ll definitely be back to check out other food items on their menu.

If you're looking for a good English breakfast, this is the place. They also do an amazing coconut, sugarcane juice. Staff are really nice and its super cute inside and out. On the ground floor they have cakes and pastries too. You can sit outside on a little terrace on the third floor in the restaurant area. I highly recommend this place :)

Nicely decorated building in Old Quarter - wide variety of menu. A hideout from the humidity and heat / aircon was very much appreciated. Each floor has a different concept - Instagrammable. Bottom floors are more popular. Had beers, egg coffee. Egg coffee was interesting, like an egg tiramisu.

It is one of the most beautiful cafes we went to in Hanoi. There is a whole lot of greenery in the decor and the ambience is vibrant. Food is good too - from pizzas, burgers to Vietnamese food. There are good options for vegetarians as well. A sweet place with a balcony that overlooks one of the brightest streets in the old quarter area.

A wide range of dishes from Vietnamese to western. I only like their sandwiches but not much for other items, including burgers, stakes, desserts and drinks. They're usually crowded both with locals and tourists, and the staff are keeping pretty busy. That results in poor table service and customer handling. We requested a terrace table whenever a table was available, but it was taken by other customers who walked in later. No communication between staff for customers' requests.

It was a really nice evening at „BanCong Hanoi“. The service was fantastic and the vietnamese food was delicious. We sat outside and heard the nice music from the streets. A perfect combinition. We will come back and we can recommend it for 100%.

We also ordered spicy chicken pizza, and i cant get enough of it. And the staffs SPOKE ENGLISH VERY WELL, it is a very good plus point for us international visitor. Overall i will come back later if i get to visit Hanoi again someday🥰🥰
