We were looking for a more familiar meal day before big tour and felt like pizza. Pizza Belga was close by and menu looked delicious. When entering the restaurant immediately gave off an air of elegance and relaxation. We sat down to lovely background music of Frank Sinatra and was met with fantastic and friendly service. To those who are looking for more affordable options, this might not be for you as the prices are double or more to meals at more traditional Vietnamese restaurants. Drinks are also very expensive. Having said that, the pizza was as good as ones I've had in Italy and I'd definitely recommend the Eggplant/Aubergine one. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Great location to be surrounded by peaceful ambience and enjoy a fantastic pizza (or pasta).

Foods are good, we just don't really like 4 cheese pizza. And for dining experience, staffs seem to be inattentive and should have been trained better I guess. Tiramisu is on point! This place has been too famous but yes they offer pastries. My most fav croissant in Hanoi till now, sold out early because of low stocks. They bake 2 batches per day. Simply my comfort with a good croissant and latte, not a fan of hot cappu :)

I visited Belga twice within 2 days. The first night, at 9pm, most restaurants on the streets were near their closing time. We walked past Belga and we thought, it looked quite nice. Let’s try our luck! We ordered a carbonara pasta 230,000 VND, spicy burrata 370,000 VND (the wood-fired pizza was incredibly delicious!), 2 glasses of wine 120,000 VND each, a tiramisu 130,000 VND (the mascarpone cream was really good!). The next day, before our flight, we decided to go back there again for lunch because their food was that unforgettable! Even though, it is a bit strange to love a non-local food that much in Vietnam. We ordered a prosciutto pizza (they were very generous in their prosciutto ham that made the pizza really tasty! On the menu, it was named as Rucola Parma 310,000 VND), a cappuccino, a chocolate tart 100,000 VND (the dark chocolate was superb!), 2 juices, and a chocolate croissant. Overall, I am so impressed with the quality of ingredients they have used that I am curious about the culinary background of the boss.

Now that I am living in Italy - the country of pizza, I can tell you that Pizza Belga has the most Italian-like pizza. I can feel the chef tries his best to make the signature Italian food in the right way. He's from Napoli if I remember well, and I confirm that he has done a perfect job in Vietnam. If you are Italian and you are a little home-sick, I think you should visit here. And if you are Vietnamese and you want to grasp the culture of Italy, this is the place to go as well 😍😍😍. I know I have been repeating myself but this is the truth !!!

In response to your reply to my review, it's obviously necessary to make the following points to clear up what seems a massive misunderstanding. Thank you very much for clarifying that your "prices are the way they are since the mozzarella, flour, tomatoes & wood fired oven materials all come from Italy", that your customers appreciate your products for authentic Neapolitan pizza and that you "don't want to compromise with a cheaper but altered local version it". Firstly, if you read my review, you'll notice that I didn't mention that I had ordered your pizzas before. Secondly, I merely referred to my surprise when i saw the extremely high-priced food items on your menu. Thirdly, I did notice a few discounted items, but it still was very expensive compared to other authentic Italian pizza restaurants that I've seen in Hanoi. I appreciate you thanking us for visiting you and for wishing us to have a nice trip in Vietnam. I wish you all the best for the future! ORIGINAL REVIEW They serve some of the best coffee that I've had so far in Hanoi! There are a few reasonably priced items on the menu, but the majority of the food is extremely expensive for a pizza restaurant.

You can hardly find better pizza in most of Europe! The dough is very nice, ingredients are nicely balanced, tastes exactly how it should. When you close your eyes, you feel a bit of Italy on your tongue. Everyone from the staff spoke English, which made it very convenient for us. The environment is decent, not overwhelming and the vibe of the place is slow, as it should be. We really enjoyed our little brake from rush of Hanoi here, definitely would recommend to anyone passing by or to locals who want to get an authentic glimpse of European tastes.

Delicious pizza with quality ingredients, just like home in Belgium. I love that you can order half/half. The place is comfortable, clean and spacious for Hanoi. Order was quick. Staff is attentive. Just a wonderful experience !

We were just looking for a quick bite near our hotel as we arrived in late to Hanoi and was departing early as well. What a pleasant surprise. Pizza was really good and fit the bill for what we were looking for. We also order some wine to top it all off. Looking for something other than Vietnamese food this is a great option right in Old Quarter. Fast and easy and good!

This establishment gets 5 stars from me (would be 6 stars if possible). Neapolitan pizza and Belgian beer is a winning combo any day of the week. The pizza is of highest quality (trust me, I’ve been to Naples), as well as the beer (doesn’t taste funny indicating that it is stored properly). Loved the cheese platter as well, after 6 months of travelling Asia was a welcome taste of home. The prices I find are very reasonable for what you get and the quality. I commend this establishment for the concept and quality of their fare 👏🏻

Casual trattoria in the heart of the Old Quarter. Top notch Neapolitan wood fired pizza and great Belgian beer selection. A few wines by the glass and good selection of wines by the bottle. If you’re in need of a change up of cuisine this is the spot.

IMPRESSED I came here for pizza but then I decided to go for the panuozzo, a sandwich made with the dough of the pizza… Wow…it was delicious 😉 I finished my lunch with a nice almond pastry.

Absolutely delicous food, every time I come i am never disappointed. The burata cheese there is incredibly tasty and is a must for me when eating pizza. The beetroot salad is superb - those walnuts! And just generally the best pizza in Hanoi. I love this venue actually more than the one in Tay Ho. Excellent service from the staff too.

The food is incredible and the staff is super friendly. I wouldn't normally recommend foreigners to go to eat European food in Hanoi but this place is different, 200% recommended!! It is one of my favourite places in Hanoi! And the music is also great

The food was quickly brought out, it was very tasty, and the service was attentive and prompt. They have a good selection of locally brewed craft beers as well. The Neapolitan style pizza impressed me, quite tasty. The beet salad was good but was missing something salty to tie it together. I ended up putting some salt and pepper on it to make it pop a little. Overall great experience!

Top notch restaurant. One of the best dining experiences I've had this year in Hanoi. Casual atmosphere with a warm decor. Attentive but unobtrusive service. Extremely good pizza with tasty quality ingredients. Great to see the chili oil on the table: no pizza joint should be without it. Considering they were out of my first two choices for dessert, the Chocolate tart was outstanding: dense, velvet smooth, aromatic and downright delicious. A very enjoyable and relaxing dinner. The chairs are a little uncomfortable but no way is that stopping me from returning. That was great! thanks!!

HOLY COW! Not the city or country you would be expecting to find incredible pizza but man we hit the jackpot. This pizza was outstanding. The dough was delicious. The toppings were top notch and lots of unique options. The goat cheese was so fresh on our pizza and salad. You can also split a pizza. We got half hot honey and half emilio. Both great! For salad we got the goat cheese and it was awesome too! MUST TRY especially to break up all the Vietnamese good you’ll be eating.

Great Italian cuisine, drinks were amazing, staffs were super helpful and friendly. One minus thing is that the tables here are too tall compared to the chairs, therefore if you’re under 5’5 it’s gonna give you an uncomfortable time sitting here. I felt like I was in a Dutch restaurant where the avg. height is 6’ above. Maybe try readjusting the chairs?

Warning. Really great flavours. But my pizza had a problem. Made me learn about fresh mozzarella and pizza. A bit of an art. My pizza turned out to be tasty sloppy crispy bread. Maybe try other toppings.

The spaghetti bolognese I ordered was pretty good. The pasta here is just as good as the pasta I have tried in Melbourne, where so many Italians live. I tried a piece of pizza my friend ordered and it was also pretty good, considering I'm not a big pizza fan. There is only one thing that would be better if they also did risotto. It doesn't appear on the menu that risotto is available. I think it's pretty good overall.

Best Hand tossed Pizzas! This place though slightly on the expensive side has one of the best pizzas I’ve eaten. As you enter you can see them making dough fresh from scratch, tossing and moving it into the oven. The pizza tasted really good, I went for the one with a pesto base, sun dried tomatoes and burrata on the top. The burrata was really fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend this place if you want to take a break from local food and would like to try continental food.

Awesome pizza! Better than pizza 4 p’s and I love that place! There was a mistake on our pizza and they fixed it and gave us a discount card for our next visit, second time I have eaten here and is delicious! The bruschetta is different than the regular one you find most places and probably the best I have ever had! Thank you for everything please open one in Saigon so I can eat it all the time!

I have eaten here twice in the past few days and I have tried the aubergine pizza, garlic bread and burrata salad. All the food was really delicious and the flavours are wonderful! Prices are fair and the atmosphere is chilled. Come and have a meal here and you won't be disappointed. Will come back here if I'm in Hanoi again. Really nice and friendly staff.

great oven fired pizza! Had the Spicy Honey pizza special and it was delicious and well priced. Service is fast and polite with excellent English speaking skills. The ambiance is relaxing with nice music and aesthetic decor. 10/10 would come again.

I wasn’t expecting the pizza to be good and it exceeded my expectations. Pizza was really good and so was the garlic bread platter. Definitely on the pricer side of Hanoi but really good if you need something different.

Better make reservations, otherwise walk-in may not get enough pizza doughs. We were here around 7:30, and they were out of pizza. Only pastas were available. Great service and pasta were great!! Would give it a try for pizza next time.

Really delicious and authentic wood fired pizza. Great for homesick travellers who might want to eat something more familiar. Fresh ingredients with real salami and prosciutto. Amazing wine list as well! Not cheap but worth the price.

  • 5/5 Serith 1 year ago on Google
Platter - Napoli sausage was nice, not too salty, slow cooked onions were a bit too sour, bread was nice, too little balsamic vinegar for my taste (had to ask for more), oloves were really good. Pizza - the pizza was not too hot, can be eaten right away. The white half with 5 cheese and mushroom was nice but you cannot really taste (nor smell) the gorgonzola, maybe because the truffle oil was too overpowering. The tomato half was less exciting, the parma was nice but the rugula does not fit my taste (not bitter enough for me, probably Vietnamese grown), it was harder to cut with knife and fork than the white half (cutlery issues or the dough was too chewy?). Tiramisu - very nice, strong coffee and rum taste, not too sweet. Only (very) small complaint is that there was too much cream for me (resto said it was Belgium style, I usually eat Italian style). Service - very good, no complaints. Seatings - bot indoors and outdoors, sith tables big enough for 15.

I was not expecting to find such a gem in Hanoi and my pizza standards are high! I will be dreaming about this garlic bread possibly for decades to come. Everything was delicious and we came back a 2nd time to try more menu items haha.
