👍👍 Everything we ordered tasted delicious! A perfect demonstration of Vietnamese flavours but at a cozy and comfortable restaurant. The stuffed squid and the pork ribs were amazing. The banana cake with coconut ice cream was also a highlight! The staff were also very friendly. Amazing, beautifully presented Vietnamese food - their bun bo nam bo was delicious. Staff is very friendly and speaks perfect English (and even French for some)!

The staffs are nice. They also speak good English. The food is delicious. We had Prawns in a coconut cream, Fried Spring roll with a crab, Oven sea-bass, Stuffed squid with tomato sauce, Eggplant and tofu and as a dessert, Banana cake with coconut ice cream. I especially liked ‘stuffed squid with tomato sauce and eggplant&tofu’ Their dessert was also delicious.

Fantastic food, friendly service and cosy vibes. The pork ribs are perfectly cooked and melt in the mouth. The coconut shrimps and roasted pork with mac mat leaves are to die for! Wonderful Vietnamese food with great international appeal! Well done! Definitely be back!

Outstanding food. Love the flavors. We had fish in the pot and eggplant and it was so yummy. They also offer set menu for lunch. Price range 90,000 - 200,000VND I would recommend to book a table in advance since the restaurant is quite small. Will come back!

Great Vietnamese food presented in an artful way. The service is efficient and friendly (the restaurant name translates as “Hello friend”). This is a special occasion restaurant but not terribly expensive. The ribs are great! UPDATE August 2022: We just had our third meal there and still rate it 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A well decorated restaurant with a tasty food. The service is good and staff are friendly and can speak English very well. I had a 3-course lunch set with a glass of wine. It was delicious. Definitely come again to try other menu.

Don't even know this place is recommended by Michelin. Nothing special about food quality. They have a nice terracotta color theme combined with neutral color. Limit spaces inside and outside, tucked in an alley, right next to Cong Doan Hotel and Cugini. Even staffs are so friendly, adorable and helpful but that can't help for the overpriced foods and drinks. I might expect more when I see the Michelin logo from the outside. Not just about taste but their foods are lack of attention and thoughtfulness in my opions. Drinks contain too much ice in small tall glasses but they offer free iced tea when we sit a little bit longer. Maybe foreigners have different tastes compared to us, Vietnamese eaters and a little picky about foods.

Great restaurant, full of foreigners but I guess the quality is there. The staff is nice and speaks English, the food is delicious and it's a great opportunity to explore the Westlake area.

Great Vietnamese restaurant with a western twist. I had some great crab spring rolls with some delicious ribs. The service was exceptional, I had one strand of hair in my ribs and the manager replaced the dish and took it off the bill. I will definitely be coming back again and bringing friends along.

I have visited this restaurant several times for my favorite! The staffs are welcoming and you can also make reservations via messenger. The food is of course delicious. Must try banana cake for finishing off the meal! My favorite: Fried spring rolls with crab, Squid tomato, Banana cake

Incredible! One of the best meals we had in Hanoi. Away from the traffic, yummy food, great service, good wine.. need I say more? They have great lunch meal set too. Highly recommended tho those who wants to run away from chaos and seeking quality food!

Love the food. The Prawn coconut cream with black rice was to die for. Also had the grilled chicken with Tamarind sauce which was amazing too. Would highly recommend

One of my favorite meals during my Hanoi trip. After reading the reviews, we decided to take a cab ride out of the old quarter to come here (and to see a different neighborhood of Hanoi). Between the two of us, we got the Banana Salad, which had an interesting crunchy texture, stuffed squid (so yummy) and the sea bass (liked the passion fruit sauce). We weren't that hungry that day so couldn't try the banana cake dessert. The restaurant is small and quaint. We had a good experience overall despite the tables being a bit too small.

Loved my experience here. Food was great. Great service. I loved the Bo La Lot. I’d get it again. The ca kho to reminds me of home. Canh Chua was also great. If I could describe this place, it would be home cooking next level.

Love the lunch I had at Chao Ban. Nice and lovely place with a polite waiter. Enjoyed the pomelo salad and spring roll. Would love to go back again to try other dishes.

Food was great and the service was nice however you have to wait quite a while for the food to come out. I recommend making reservations as they are already fully booked and you may not be able to eat without reserving. Definitely would like to come back! Their pork in caramel was my favourite 😍

Nice cosy restaurant serving vietnamese cuisine, food was good overall but a tad too salty for me. Had the set lunch with pork rib, it was tender and flavorful. Vegetables and herbs were very fresh

What an incredible delicious find!!! Amazing food and such attentive service. We had a memorable food experience here! The only criticism is that it was very cold (late December) and with windows and doors open it was not very cosy. Toilets are somewhat not part of the restaurant; outside and not very clean!

Incredible French and Vietnamese fusion restaurant. The stuff is extremely nice and friendly, and food is just on another level. Highly recommended if you’re in Hanoi

My favorite restaurant is conveniently located near my house, making it the perfect spot for a quick and delicious lunch whenever I'm feeling too lazy to cook. The food here is always exceptional, and I can't recall a single meal that left me feeling disappointed. If you're stopping by for lunch, I highly recommend sitting outside to enjoy the fresh air and laid-back atmosphere of the Tây Hồ district. It almost feels like dining at a Vietnamese restaurant abroad! Keep in mind that outdoor seating can be hard to come by on busier days, so it's best to call ahead and reserve a table. The only downside is that I've been coming here for over two years now, and the menu hasn't changed or been updated at all during that time. I'm really hoping for some exciting new additions in the near future.

They can really cook at this restaurant. All the dishes I've tried here were super delicious, from the starters to the main dishes and the desserts. I especially liked the fish in clay pot and the banana cake.

Believe the reviews - this place is amazing! Great prices, friendly staff. Grilled pork w/ Mac mat leaves seems to be the most popular item on the menu and rightfully so. If you need a great, easy dinner in Hanoi, you won’t regret eating here!

Signature pork rib dishes. Soft shell crab rolls also recommended. Seated in small front yard close to the road so down a star for atmosphere.

I went to Chào Bạn Restaurant only once with my mum and we were lucky to get a table. It's a small restaurant so better book a table before arriving. Food was delicious but portion small. Since then I have ordered food regularly to my home. Shipping fee about 20k as I live close by.

Welcoming friendly staff. Relaxing outdoor seating under the trees. Their signature dish did not disappoint - (melt in your mouth) ribs as part of the 3 course set menu. Vegetarian spring rolls and summer rolls were very fresh and packed full of vegetables.

Chao Ban was the best restaurant we went to in Hanoi and it wasn’t really close. The service was excellent and every bite of food was great. This restaurant is a must when you’re in Hanoi. Our order: crab fried rolls, banana flower salad w/ chicken, green papaya salad w/ beef jerky, caramelized fish, grilled pork, pork ribs (so good), eggplant and tofu.

A really nice find in Tay Ho. It is so worth paying that little bit extra for the quality of food that you get here. Thank you for a wonderful meal, we will definitely be back to try more dishes soon!
