We stayed in Hanoi Marvellous for 3 nights. This hotel really should be 5* status. We arrived several hours before check-in after a flight from the UK, but went straight to the hotel. We received welcome drinks, sweets and hot towel. The staff are very friendly and their service from start to finish is second to non. There was a bathroom we could use to freshen up and get changed, before spending a few hours exploring, while our luggage was kept safe in reception. Our room was ready a couple of hours before check-in which we were very grateful for. A very comfortable, spotlessly clean room with plenty of amenities, drinks, snacks and toiletries and good for a quiet night's sleep, despite the busy roads of Hanoi's Old Quarter. There was a slight leak on the toilet hose, but the issue was resolved immediately with no further problems. The team always greeted us by name and with a smile. The front door was always opened for us on arrival/departure and nothing was too much. We had an early bus to catch upon checkout, the team arranged a car for us and told us the fee before hand. As our departure was before breakfast, they made us some breakfast sandwiches to go, a fruit platter and bottle of water each. We're due back in Hanoi for another two nights on separate occasions and had we not already got accommodation booked we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Western hotels could definitely learn from the level of service! Thank you to the whole team again, you were fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Loved this hotel. The location was great - in the old town but near the edge so it was very easy to go to different areas too. The service was among the best I've ever had - the staff were friendly and helpful, and we're very accommodating of us making two separate visits (we stayed before and after visiting Ha Long Bay) - they let us keep the same room and gave us a warm welcome back on the second visit. Breakfast was fantastic with a good mix of western and Vietnamese food and lots of fruit. The laundry was perfect and a very good price. Thanks for a great few days!

We had an unreal stay here. Originally booked as it had great reviews already. The staff and the hospitality they offered throughout the stay was second to none. The rooms were decent, clean and spacious. A good refuge away from the city when it got too hot. We had a massage at the in house massage parlour, it was good! The breakfast was sufficient as well, lots of options, although could be topped up more regularly. We mainly used grabs during our time in Vietnam, but opted to use the hotels service for a drop off to the airport. The driver was really friendly and was up for a chat over google translate! We would definitely stay again, thanks so much guys.

The customer service was the best I have experienced in Vietnam. From the smiles and greetings from staff (not always a given in other hotels unfortunately), to the outstanding service provided by Daniel and his team. Our potential needs had been anticipated and as such we were provided with useful, relevant information at every step. Highly recommended!

The best part about staying here is - LOCATION! Most of the things were at a walking distance - the beer street, the train street, the old quarter market, local food shops, night market, lake area etc. You get to live the old quarter charm by walking in these streets. Food - could be better. There was not much variety in breakfast but it was good quality food. Service - The staff is very warm and helps you out with little things. They helped us with everything we asked for - even how much to haggle for. I personally used to love their warm greetings. Every time we passed by the reception, they would ask nicely "where are you headed to today", "how was your outing today", "have you had food yet" etc. We booked three different types of rooms during our extended stay and the suite was the best (very spacious and city view).

I recently stayed at hotel Marvellous and had an absolutely fantastic time! The staff were simply amazing - they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome in Hanoi. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you'd expect but the rooms do need some modernising. Our room was very dark. The treatment in the spa was super relaxing. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

We started off our anniversary trip in Hanoi at this wonderful hotel. We stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful hotel. The location is very central and you can walk to the main tourist attractions. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Whenever we booked a cab they made sure it was a safe driver and gave us an estimated price range to expect. We had booked a deluxe double room with breakfast and the room was fair sized with clean amenities and bathroom. My wife and I love to book spas and massages on our trip and from all the massages that we had in Vietnam from roadside to 5 star luxury, the spa and massage at Hanoi Marvelous Hotel & Spa was by far the best, simply amazing!! We had booked a couples massage for 90 minutes and it is something I would highly recommend if you have the time. The staff are very helpful in guiding you to the nearby attractions. The breakfast was really nice and they were kind to accommodate our food allergens. I highly recommend this hotel for the excellent location, staff and accommodation.

The staff is what truly make this experience one of a kind! They are so polite, and the rooms are very clean. The rooms are old so they seem dark and gloomy but I assure that they are very clean and comfortable. This was our first night in vietnam so it felt very overwhelming, but they made us feel safe. Breakfast was very good and the coffee was delicious. Massage was superb, staff knows exactly what they’re doing. Definitely recommend

This hotel is located in the Old Quarter. The staff is fantastic and went out of their ways to make sure that our stay was great. They offer delicious breakfast daily. Their bed is super comfy. Contrary to other reviews, there is no noise at night once the window is closed. You will be well taken care by caring employees here. We ended up coming back 4 times because they are so welcoming. They kept our luggage during our excursion and did our laundry at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

The staff at Hotel Marvellous are so warm and inviting and made our stay an enjoyable one. They were always so friendly and helpful and even helped me with learning some Vietnamese. They hooked us up with an amazing private street food motorbike tour and had other good suggestions on places to eat and visit. It was great to interact with folks who are so clearly proud of their fabulous city and genuinely wanted us to enjoy it as much as they do. Location was good because it was walkable to everything we wanted to do, but was still quiet at night. The airport pickup service was totally worth it - great to have someone waiting for us with a sign after a long travel day.

An oasis of tranquility in the middle of the hustle and bustle that is Hanoi. I stayed here for 2 night with a Halong Bay cruise sandwich in between my two nights. This is a very lovely and clean hotel. The staff are super attentive and very friendly. The rooms are pleasantly decorated with a spotless en-suite. I wish I could stay longer! Perfect location for getting to all the main attractions. I walked everywhere. Delicious breakfast with coconut flavoured coffee 😀 The is a great coffee house opposite that I visited twice and a lovely little restaurant next door that sells delicious curries.

We can’t be happier of have chosen this hotel. We picked it among many others due to the great reviews and I could find any other with a significant reason to change. At the end this really was an amazing hotel with a customer service beyond any other we’ve known before. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast spread and service was really good and perfect to kick start a long day of walking. The staff was the highlight of the hotel, AMAZING. They took care of us all the time and they were so so kind. We loved our stay so much!! Of course we will be back to Marvellous Hotel & Spa when we visit Hanoi again and we recommend to anyone!

We stayed for 2 nights and the hotel is perfect. The team their lead by Lan and Leo were fantastic. The hotel is located perfectly for everything in the old quarter. The breakfast is perfect to start the day and the rooms were lovely. We had a connecting room for 2 adults and 2 young kids and it’s was brilliant. Make sure to ask Leo for some tips where to eat. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a really great time at Hanoi Marvellous Hotel while we were in hanoi. The location is fantastic. Right in the old quarter, we were able to walk to all of the sites we wanted to visit. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was pretty good too.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Beautiful location and a great room in the Old Quarter close to all the food and attractions I could ask for. However, the real star of the show is the staff were so incredibly kind and helpful and went above and beyond to treat us well, even looking after our luggage for over a week once we’d checked out. I would not hesitate to stay here again the next time I’m in Hanoi

Stayed for 3 nights and overall a great experience with the team managing the hotel. Hot food for breakfast changes daily while the cold ones are standard. Food quality is acceptable but coffee is pretty bad. Fortunately, a coffee cafe is just opposite for coffee lovers. I like the mattress which is firm and comfy. No bathtub but simple amenities in the shower room are provided. Plenty of TV channels to navigate although mostly are in their language. Service crews are friendly and ready to please.

Had a lovely stay here in Hanoi. It's a good walk to Beer street as well as Hanoi Old Quarter. The room was good, it had A/C. We especially loved the complimentary breakfast. The staff were excellent as well. They arranged shuttle pickup for us to the airport for our departure flight!

Very happy with our stay here. Location is perfect for walking all around the old town. The beds were super comfy, the shower was brilliant, staff were friendly and welcoming and the inclusive buffet breakfast was the best on our trip. Couldn’t recommend staying here more.

A good choice for the old quarter in Hanoi. We were only here for a night, transiting back from Ha Long Bay. Our room was quite nice, quiet and clean (no bath). The breakfast is good. Staff are helpful. Would certainly consider staying again.

Highly highly recommended!! Great location, value for money and awesome friendly staff who remember your name and bother to ask you how your previous day went. It's our first time in Hanoi, we decided on Marvellous after sifting through TONS of others which were either too ridiculously priced or looked too dodgy. We wanted something within the Old Quarters but not in the middle of all the action so we decided on something a little bit on the edges, but still a convenient walk to all the important parts - Hang Dao for shopping, Don Xuân for the market, Hoàn Kiem Lake for the weekend, and also surrounded by various eateries and spas. The staff were absolutely AWESOME!! From Leo who met us and sat down to have a chat because we were too early for check-in, Ethan who made restaurant reservations for us, Daniel and Vivviane who gave us local recommendations (and told us so much more than some tour guides), Alisa and Jolie who were so helpful in their correspondence prior to our arrival, Ms Lang who's the big sister amongst all of them. Three thumbs up if I had them! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Rooms were spacious, clean and well-maintained, free water, coffee and tea, and affordable laundry. There's also a spa conveniently located on the ground floor if you want to get a nice rub before bedtime. Breakfast buffet was simple with your usual spread of toast, cereal, fruit, coffee/tea, etc, but you also have the option of getting freshly cooked eggs (done in various styles), crepes and (of course) pho. 🤤 Again, highly recommended. Stop reading and book now.

Great service, cosy bed, fantastic location and yummy breakfast! They even provide you a map with clear instructions on how to get to nearby attractions, cafe, museums and restaurants. Love it here!

My wife and I stayed at Marvellous Hotel for 3 nights and we had the best time ever! We were happily greeted upon arrival and the front desk worker Daniel was incredibly helpful. Even though we showed up 4 hours before our check-in time, he made sure our room was made up as quickly as possible. His overall attention to detail was extremely impressive - he somehow recognized that it was my wife’s birthday without us telling him and when we got to our room, it was decorated with balloons, flower petals, and a sign that said happy birthday! Wow. On top of this, he asked us what we were doing each day and he remembered everything about our trip! He gave us great recommendations and would ask about them when we saw him next. The hotel was amazing itself, but Daniel’s customer service made our experience 100x better… this man deserves a raise!! The breakfast was excellent and there was a beautiful view where we sat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Hanoi.

Our experience at the Marvelous Hotel far exceeded our expectations. I visited with my son for a few days and we were delighted with the hotel's location in the heart of Hanoi's old city, which made it easy to explore the area on foot. Our room was lovely and comfortable, with amenities like air conditioning and wifi that worked perfectly. The breakfast was simple but satisfying. However, what truly made our stay remarkable was the staff, particularly Lan who was incredibly helpful and sincere. She went the extra mile to assist us with our travel plans, including arranging a great one-night trip to Halong Bay. We highly recommend the Marvelous Hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi. It truly lived up to its name!

The location is great, the room elegantly furnished, breakfast was delicious and the bed very comfortable... BUT!!! The hospitality we experienced here was an absolute standout. After travelling extensively for the last 20 years, I will always remember my first time at Hanoi Marvellous. From the moment we entered, the staff were so attentive and helpful. When they found out we'd be in Hanoi for an afternoon, after visiting Ha Long bay, they offered us to leave our bags while we explored the Old town and then even offered us a shower before our night train... ...We had checked out over 24 hours earlier!! My partner and I will definitely be back. I wish the hotel and staff, all of the best that life can offer.

Due to medical reasons we had to stay in Hanoi for quite some time and Marvelous hotel was a perfect place to base ourselves. The Deluxe Twin room was super comfortable: lovely beds and very spacious (bathroom spacious as well). Good breakfast! And most importantly very professional and friendly staff (from the doormen to the reception and breakfast crew). They will help you with a smile with anything you might need: early check-in, booking extra nights for a good price, booking a taxi, letting you leave your luggage, making a fresh ginger tea to help you beat the cold and bringing more of your favourite fruit during breakfast. At the end we felt like home :) and we will come back to this hotel in October as well.

Great hotel located in the old quarter. Easy to get to a lot of nice to see places. The staff here were extremely accommodating and took the time to remember little details like your names, plans for the day, etc. They were quick to offer up suggestions and honestly went out of their way to make sure everything was made easy for our stay! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! Huge thanks to all the staff :)

Such a lovely place with warm hearts. If you are looking something in the mid of city at Hanoi. Marvellous is a great place. They even suggest places around. Everything is nearby and its very easy to visit places. Rooms were big and clean. We stayed for 3 nights and it was too good. Breakfast was decent and tasty.

We stayed one night at Hanoi Marvellous Hotel for our honeymoon. It was our first night ever in Vietnam and Hanoi. We aren’t familiar with local accommodation standards, but this is by far the best hotel experience we ever had for this price range. The staff was extremely helpful and genuinely warm and welcoming. Room was good, very quiet compared to the busy and noisy streets. Very highly recommended.

We chose this hotel based on all the amazing reviews but I could not expect this to be as good as it was! The stuff here is something extraordinary! Each one of them knows you by name and treat you so kindly , it feels like you’re back home. We even had one more night unplanned in Hanoi and coming back here wasn’t even a question.

We had a lovely 6 night stay. Room was very clean and comfortable and a good size too. Location is great. Lots of nice restaurants nearby, close to the night market and other attractions. The staff were exceptional! I unfortunately had my iPhone pickpocketed down at the Hoàn Kiếm Lake and so did another French backpacker I met at the local police station (same location, same iPhone). Please be careful of your belongings in that area especially! The hotel owner/manager was very helpful when we told her what happened. She arranged for one of the hotel staff (thanks again, Ryan!) to come with us to the police station and act as a translator. We managed to get a report filed in good time and I can't thank the whole team enough for taking time out of their day to help us out. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a nice, friendly, affordable hotel experience in Hanoi. 5 stars!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Hotel is quite new. Location is good. Like most hotels in the vicinity, not all room have windows facing out. The room I stayed have a indoor window with some natural lighting thru the roof via the shower area. Good size.

Five years later as as I tidy my old wardrobe I found the items they decorate my room in when it was my birthday My family found this the best and kindest hotel we stayed in in all our travels and so I stop my cleaning to add this memory to there hard work

Perfect home base for a trip to Hanoi's bustling old quarter! The hotel is tranquil, comfy and clean. The staff is attentive and helpful. The location is great, so much yummy street food around every corner! Oh and most importantly, the showers are good!

Wow, what an incredible hotel. Aside from the pristine condition of the facilities and the first class breakfast that is included with the room, the service is impeccable. The concierge services are some of the best that I have ever had and I highly recommend this hotel, especially to Americans like myself. The US dollar is strong in Vietnam and it may be tempting to stay somewhere cheaper, but I promise you, staying at this hotel can change your entire experience in Hanoi.

We were greeted by Cuong (Ethan) straight off of our airport transport and Thang helped us with our bags and opened the door for us. The greeted us with smiles and welcome drinks and sweets. I felt at home as soon as I saw their faces. Manh (Daniel) also greeted us and talked us through the hotel and a few options for excursions. Manh and Cuong and lovely Quynhanh (Jenny) helped us with some fantastic food recommendations for our stay. Absolutely delicious, I recommend going to every one of their recommendations they never fail and every dish I had was lovely. We had a 3 day stay elsewhere for the cruise in Ha long Bay and on us leaving and returning Cuong and Tung helped with our bags they were so efficient and friendly and kind once again. Also Jack (apologies didn't catch his Vietnamese name) helped my dad with getting some bracelets whilst we were away and when he wanted to sort them out Cuong who helped with our bags took him out on the moped. My parents and aunt and uncle are a little less mobile so information with regard to the excursions to help them was really helpful. The breakfast!!! Absolutely amazing!!! So delicious fantastic options and lots of food. Service at breakfast was wonderful! Greeted with smiles and kindness. Also very fast with the a la carte orders. French toast was my absolute favourite. Stars of the breakfast show were Khai and Hoai, I'm sorry I didn't mention them in my trip advisor review but they deserve a lot of recognition they faithfully served everyday always with a smile. And I know sometimes we were annoying and demanding but they were kind throughout. Thank you so much Khai and Hoai!!! Also my aunt had some time in the spa and she said it was lovely. Basically I would tell everyone to stay here this place is amazing and Vietnamese hospitality is amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys! They work hard and are so friendly. I am so grateful to them and loved every minute I spent in Vietnam!! Thank you everyone I wish you all the best for the future and all good things!

Unbelievably polite and attentive staff. Clean comfortable rooms with recently updated finishes and appliances, an exquisite bathroom with a high pressure shower. The hotel also has a top notch restaurant on the top floor that serves what i would say is the best continental breakfast i have ever had at any hotel in or out of vietnam. The hotel is also in an excellent location just a quick walk to anything in old quarter. Highly recommend staying here you will not regret it!

The rooms here are extremely spacious for a good price. Comfortable couch and chair as well as soft bed and pillows. The service is above and beyond - the staff here will help make your Hanoi stay memorable! Ethan was extremely helpful with recommendations and helping us rent motorbikes, even during a holiday when many businesses were closed. My partner and I loved our stay here and would return in a heartbeat. Breakfast is tasty too!

Lovely hotel in fab location - only issue, need a fridge in room. They have a 'coolant' unit, which only works while you are there and your card turns on the power. Very friendly staff and room otherwise good.

5-star service! very accomodating and courteous front desk staff: from arranging my COVID-19 test in a hotel to allowing to take a shower in the spa shower after I already checked out, as well as walking me to a taxi to bid good bye. The room is spacious, comfy bed and many amenities. Great breakfast with a few a la carte options.

Excellent hotel within the old quarter of Hanoi. The front desk was very attentive, greeting me every time I left and upon my return. Upon my request, they were also very quick to recommend local cuisines unique to Hanoi. The breakfast assortment was good for the size but I mainly ate outside to experience the northern Vietnamese cuisine. Overall I had a wonderful stay and would recommend anyone to give them a try!
