We have stayed in six rooms in total over 7 nights (travelling in between). While there was construction and rennovation while we were staying, the hotel was run well. Staff really friendly and helpful (even when we mucked up one of our bookings). Rooms well sized and clean, beds comfortable and showers good. The baths were a bit mixed (some plugs not sealing so not usable). Breakfast buffet was good. Location excellent.

We have stayed here on a one night break before a Halong Bay trip and looking forward to returning to another stay after our trip. The hotel is newly renovated and the decor is beautiful, very stylish. We booked a junior suite with balcony, the room was great, very spacious, has a seating area and a terrace. The room is well equipped, great AC, has toiletries which included shampoo, body wash, hair dryer, and dental kits, dressing gown, mini bar. We really liked the little touches such as a welcome drink, luggage service to our room, fruit platter, water and ear plugs to help those who are noise sensitive to sleep. The location is perfect, a tranquil gem right in the heart of old town with views of the lake from the breakfast and pool areas. The breakfast quality is great, a variety of western and asain options. I did see tables ordering options not laid out in the buffet such as avocado or scrambled eggs on toast, so it would have been good to have known this or informed that this was an option by the staff. In general the service is great especially the concierge, the boys on the door and reception. Minor improvements to the rooms would be to add some seating and fans to the rooms with terraces, body lotion, conditioner, and slippers.

Nice hotel in a very strategic location, right in the middle of the old quarters. Accessible to almost anything you need. Rooms are very spacious and clean as well. Staffs are friendly with good English skills. Only problem is that some rooms might be quite noisy due to the nature of traffic in Hanoi.

Good value, handy location. Busy. Excellent staff, especially Mr Allan, front desk supervisor. Because of the service from this excellent staff, we have decided to make May De Ville our regular hotel whenever we stay in Hanoi for business. Although not hard custom, I suggest that if you do stay here, you make a small cash tip to your favorite staff. I reckon they deserve it

I stayed at May De Ville 4 times in the last 3 weeks and it was great each time. Every staff member was courteous, helpful and professional and the hotel was spotless. The breakfast, pool, views and location were outstanding, however, I'd rate the beds and pillows a 6 on a 10-point scale. I did not find them comfortable at all. That said, I would stay here again and I would recommend it to friends...

We absolutely loved our time at the May De Ville. The doorman gave a wonderful first impression with a warm smile and cup of cinnapple tea while we waited. We were dusty, hot and tired but they treated us like the most valued guest at all times. We were allowed to check in early, which was appreciated so much. The breakfast selection is excellent and delicious. We went back to the buffet a few times! The location is excellent too. Big thanks to Irene, who helped us with some paperwork that was required. We highly recommend and hope to stay again.

Location, location & location! It’s in the heart of everywhere and it is perfect for first timers like us. So much actions just right below the hotel. Be sure to enjoy weekends with the walking streets (streets are closed for pedestrians)! Manager Anna and all the staff are very attentive, kind and always able to assist us. Always able to reply us quickly on WhatsApp too. Only downside is no window. Rooms are not as spacious but we only had 1 luggage so that’s just nice. We spent our birthday here and also got a surprise from the hotel. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

The hotel is situated in the heart of the old quarter, near the top of the lake and near enough at the start of the pedestrian area. Staff: very helpful and kind, upgraded us to a junior suite and allowed us to use facilities after checkout until we had to leave for our flight. Facilities: there's a very small gym, 3 machines for cardio, one for sit-ups. Pool on the roof is beautiful as are the views. Also had jacuzzi jets. Breakfast: good choice of western or Vietnamese. Rooms and hotel: generally well kept could use a little updating/maintenance but fine.

Nothing to complain. The best hotel in old quarter. The service is exemplary. And the hotel is very new, so everything is super clean.

booked for 3 nights because their pool looks quite nice in the picture, but find out it’s photoshop… ended up staying for just 1 night and left because the aircon is not functioning normally (couldn’t switch on, and been noisy all night) and is blowing directly to the bed. also tried foot massage at their spa, it was just so-so. With the price paid, there are more better options around old quarter. i stayed in 4 hotels here in 7 nights, trust me! I left 4 earrings (simple round shaped jade and tiny silver beads) in the room, checked out at 10am, came back the same day at 4:30pm. the staff kept me waiting at the reception, so I waited patiently for 10mins, they didn’t approach me directly, instead I have to ask them again; and they said they couldn’t find anything.

Extremely service minded and attentive staff! We spent 2 nights here during which our son turned 2 years and the staff brought him a birthday cake to our room. The view is very nice from the 12th floor where breakfast is served. We also had lunch in the restaurant which was not too bad. The sun deck with the pool was a bit disappointing as the pool was not heated and there was no service, but could be due to winter time. Located in the very busy center of Hanoi, you're within walking distance to the main attractions. Recommend making sure to book a room with a window. We had the 'junior suite' which felt more like a normal hotel room.

We stayed at the hotel twice. Location amazing. You get to experience different part of the life anytime you step out of the hotel door. Room itself is clean, bed is comfy and not much noise even though we are right at the center of old quarter. The view from the top restaurant is super nice. Day and night! The restaurant serves good breakfast with many hot and cold options. Hotel staff are exceptional. From the welcome by the doorman, to the reception, cleaning and restaurant staff, everyone was very customer focused and served with a smile. We arrived early from travelling for many hours and the Front Desk Manager Fabio was very kind to get us an early checkin which was highly appreciated. Vi Thuy in the restaurant remembered I liked mangoes and she made sure I got a plate of delicious mangoes each morning.

We have stayed here twice in the last week and will be coming back again. We have been using this hotel as a base whilst visiting Ha La Bay and then Sapa. Great breakfast, helpful staff, clean rooms and the location is central to some great restaurants, bars & tourist area’s. Try to book a room with a proper window. The first room had a window, but its view was an internal stair case.

Title: Exceptional Hospitality and Comfort at May De Ville Luxury Hotel and Spa Review: My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at May De Ville Luxury Hotel and Spa during our short visit to Hanoi, and we were thoroughly impressed with the level of service and comfort provided. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly with complimentary tea, setting the tone for our delightful stay. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a higher room category at no extra cost, which was a wonderful gesture by the staff. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the stunning swimming pool with breathtaking views of the city and the lake. It provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation after a day of exploring. The room itself was not only luxurious but also thoughtfully equipped with complimentary ear covers, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The central location of the hotel made it convenient for us to explore all the nearby attractions in the limited time we had. Since we had an early morning flight and wouldn't be able to enjoy the breakfast, the hotel kindly prepared a complimentary breakfast box for us to take with us. Additionally, they offered us a convenient and affordable ride directly to the airport, easing our departure process. Despite our short stay, the staff at May De Ville Luxury Hotel and Spa went above and beyond to make us feel at home and catered to all our needs. Their hospitality was truly exceptional, and we cannot wait to recommend this gem to our family and friends. Thank you to the entire team for a memorable experience. Keep up the excellent work! We're very lucky to choose this excellent hotel. The location is very convenient. The room was clean, quiet and the bed is very comfortable. I liked the room style and design. Breakfast has a variety of choices and delicious. We received a VIP welcome upon arrival, thanks to the hotel manager Anna's arrangements. She even helped arrange an early breakfast half an hour before the scheduled time as we had to depart for SAPA at 6:30am. We appreciate Anna's efforts. We will come back again.

Had a 8 nights stay there and I really enjoyed myself. The staff were really nice and good always ready to assist if we need any help. On top of that it is well furnished and designed. The breafast is pretty good and the massage is really great! Will also like to especially mention hazel from the front desk for really helping and assisting me alot during my stay there which makes my stay more pleasant and enjoyable.

Very comfortable and convenient to stay in this hotel. Enjoy the breakfast every morning as they offer a variety of dishes and the staff is very friendly & helpful Front desk staff at the lobby too provide very good service, polite, very attentive and with friendly smile Only one thing that short of is the room I stay doesn't have a window for outside view

Definitely an experience for the senses! Started on floor 5 where the corridors are lined with oil burners, filling the space with a vile and nauseating smell. Take us to the room, which somehow smells worse! The room had "no window" but there was a window to a skylight area? Which directly faced the, not frosted window, of another apartment. Staff were very helpful in helping us upgrade to a room with a window. Was happy to pay the fee as the window meant there was no bad smell. The air conditioner was broken at first but staff were happy and able to fix very quickly. The hotel is located right next to beer street which is fantastic! And right next to the live band which played at the night market, which we could hear VERY clearly in the room. Unfortunately the room was not good at blocking sound from inside or outside the building, and the curtains were very bad at keeping out light, which is fine if you aren't spending your time hanging out till late on beer street! You know you're in for a noisy experience when they give you free earplugs on check in! Overall the staff were nice, the rooms with windows are nice, location is great if you like to party! Pool is lovely but VERY slippery and restaurant has a wonderful view.

Great location for us. We were upgraded to their Lakeview room on the 11th floor. The view from the bedroom is perfect both day and night. The staff are very polite and helpful. I have friends coming over before the end of the year and they are looking forward to staying here for everything I described above. I strongly recommend you stay here, you will not be disappointed.

What a fantastic hotel in the in the heart of the historic Old Quarters, Hanoi. I stayed here with family and booked 3 rooms in late October 2023. The rooms were clean, comfortable and not noisy despite the city bustling right outside. Breakfast was delicious and the staff provided exceptional service tending to our every need. The GM, Anna was always present and smiling while hosting every quest with VIP service. The finely tuned operation of the hotel managed by Anna is the reason for my excellent rating. I would stay here again and would recommend to my family and friends. Cory Pham 31, Oct 2023.

The best part of this hotel is it’s location. Right between busy night life and morning market. You get to experience different part of the life anytime you step out of the hotel door. Room itself is clean, bed is comfy and not much noise even though we are right at the center of old quarter. The view from the top restaurant is super nice. Day and night! The restaurant serves good breakfast and dinner options are good.

We had a great stay here. Spacious room, great location and a large balcony. The street can get a bit noisy at night but they give u in-room earplugs so yeah that worked out fine.

Fantastic location that is near to everything in the old quarter. We had a delux city view window room, which was spacious and clean. View from the breakfast area was breathtaking overlooking HK Lake. The staff and management team were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the May de Ville Luxury Hotel & Spa for only one night, but wished we had been able to stay for longer. Located in the thick of the Old Quarter & near Sword Lake, everything was nearby. The breakfast on the top floor was the best we’ve had on our trip and the pool was nice as well. We stayed in a lake view room on the 10th floor and the view was memorable. We will be back one day!

This hotel is closed to everything. It’s right in front of the Hoan Kiem Lake with many shopping & restaurants. We love the location. The room is just right & comfortable. Free breakfast which is good variety with baguette & soup like pho & coffee & variety fruit & desert. Very good breakfast & good value stay. We spent here two nights before taking off to Saigon trip. Thank you hotel front desk team & service team they helped us with luggage & check in quick & smoothly upon arrival & check out.

Hotel staff service and breakfast is excellent. Rooms and toilets are clean. Only issue is the soundproofing. Our lake view room is on the 11th floor, and the restaurant is on 12th. We can hear the chairs scraping in the morning and the hustle and bustle in the corridor quite loudly. The terrace suite is on the 10th floor, same as the pool and you can hear the children screaming from the pool area. The views are amazing from all rooms and the pool (see pics) and we are really thankful to the hotel staff, especially Anna and her crew for facilitating an easy booking process and helping us organise the cyclo tours.

Good location , many rooms do not have windows , air con in rooms poor and noisy , customer service and check-in very good , meals ok. Would not stay there again.

Staff was awesome. Facilities were great. Breakfast was amazing. Everything that you can think of eating during breakfast was served and then some more. Pool was breathtaking. Room was ok, could have improved a tiny bit on housekeeping. All in all, May De Ville Luxury is a must if you want a luxury stay in Hanoi

I stayed in this hotel with a whole group for one and a half weeks and I felt really comfortable. The whole staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms as well as all the facilities were very clean and the pool on the 10th floor was simply amazing. The breakfast offers a variety of Vietnamese and European dishes and was very tasty. The hotel is set in the center of Hanoi near the lake and the silk street, therefore it is the perfect location for shopping and sightseeing. I had two massages and a manicure and I was very happy with the service. I would come again anytime.

This hotel is excellently situated in the centre of Hanoi old town, super close to most of the attractions. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We only had breakfast here but it was delicious and plentiful and the restaurant has excellent views over the city. The pool provided a very welcome break from the intense heat of Hanoi and staff came to take drink/food orders while we were there, all of which was very reasonable. The rooms were clean and well-equipped. We stayed for 4 nights and they were cleaned very quickly every day. The only downside was that we had no view out of our window. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

It's right in the middle of Hanoi. It only just gets a 4 star because there was construction to a building of the same size across the street. The building has everything just scaled back everywhere. Very fair with the prices, we only stayed for 3 nights so it was fine. Kitchen has a great 270deg view from the 11th floor dinning room. There isn't to many balcony rooms so ask before booking.

  • 4/5 Dirk S. 6 years ago on Google
Clean an tidy hotel for a very fair price. Breakfast is very good. Breakfast venue is on the top at the 10th floor with a great city view. The hotel location is perfect for a walk around the old city of Hanoi and strolling through shops, bars or restaurants. I'll book it again.

  • 4/5 Zachary B. 6 years ago on Google
The rooms and service was very good, well furnished and comfortable, and the included dinner buffet was fantastic. However, the sound proofing in my room was a bit poor, and I was even woken up in the middle of the night by loud music being played outside. Otherwise, the hotel was great!

  • 5/5 Nigel B. 4 years ago on Google
Centrally located, May De Ville Old quarter is serenity in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. Our balcony suite room is clean and spacious. Everything you need as a home away from home in Vietnam. Breakfast is ample and staff are friendly.

  • 3/5 Neo T. 6 years ago on Google
Nice hotel, but the air conditioning not working. Did inform the reception and I guess nothing has been done. Location wise is good. Toilet is quite small. Food is so-so, their spa services can be nicer if they provide a closed quarter since I can't really enjoy the massage listening to people chatting out in the lobby.

  • 4/5 Steve F. 4 years ago on Google
Location, location, location ... decent hotel in a great position set in the old quarter of Hanoi right on the edge of the action. Just 2 mins from the lake and 2 mi a from the busy "beer street" great for a lively night out. Good breakfast choice, nice rooftop pool with views over the lake. Only issue for me is that there were no windows with any view or any natural light coming in in the room we had. I'd pay extra for a room with a view if I went back. Amenities were fine, friendly staff. One to consider..
