I have never in my life met a doctor who was more caring and kind. The whole team, really! Dr. Golbin-Hallett was very reassuring and helpful during a very scary time for me, and though they're a pretty busy office, she took her time going over every detail and test result that lead me to her to then determine what the BEST next step would be. I'm super thankful to have been placed in her care, and know I'm in great hands now!

Dr. Alvi is excellent and has an amazing bedside manner. He has lots of experience and I fully trust his opinion. Appointment was on time and the staff was friendly.

My son Georgie is a special needs young. To my surprise he actually let Dr Hallett go up and look in his nose. She is amazing. She also did my nasal polypectomy in April. We could not have been more blessed with such an amazing Dr and staff. Such a friendly staff and atmosphere. They are also quick to respond to questions and any other issues. Would definitely recommend Dr Hallett and her office for medical needs. Patience for her patients is a rare thing with the medical profession these days.

My husband saw Dr Alvi. He needed tubes in his ears. He had this done in another doctor’s office before. Quick and easy. Dr. Alvi scheduled him to have it done as surgery in the hospital! We called back with a question for the doctor: Why can’t we just have this done in the office? The office employee called us back with Dr. Alvi’s answer: “Because that’s the way he does it.” Other doctors were booked for months out and my husband was desperate for relief, so he had it done in the hospital. As soon as he agreed, he then had to have a physical (after just have one recently) as well as an EKG. $$$ After the surgery I confronted Dr. Alvi with all of this. He said he’ll have a talk with his office staff. I told him not to blame them because the question was for him, and we got a call back, not an off-the-cuff answer. Now we’re at Northwestern. The NW Dr said he does them in the office all time and that the extra testing is not necessary. So we paid BIG money for a surgery, put my husband at risk from bein under anesthesia, got up at 4 am for a surgery done HOURS later so they could stagger patients for admittance using fewer nurses, and wasted an entire day instead of just a simple appointment. I saw other reviews about this doctor being all about the money and to look around at their gorgeous, spare-no-expense office. I could not agree more. We should have listened. Oh! And he did not seem comfortable with me attending my husband’s appointment and asking questions. I DO NOT recommend Dr. Alvi.

My daughter has seen Dr. Golbin-Hallett twice now over the past 6 months. She has great bedside manner and makes my daughter feel at ease during her appointment. Her office staff is very attentive, quick, and professional as well. Overall, highly recommend Dr Golbin-Hallett to anyone who needs an ENT!

Was seen by Dr. Alvi he was very observant to my recent throat problems and my surgery. He looked at my throat with a camera and saw no problems at this time. I will return in 6 months. He really seemed to care.

I brought my 2 year old here for a hearing test which they could not complete because they don't have the equipment for the toddler hearing screens at the Hoffman Estates office. I don't understand why I wasn't told that when I was scheduling because I would have been happy to go to Barrington. Although the doctor told us the Barrington test wouldn't be accurate either, so I don't know why you guys are doing testing that is self-admittedly inaccurate? I was then told he would have to go to a children's hospital for testing instead, however when I called an audiologist in Arlington Heights they told me they do hearing tests on 2 year olds all the time and got me an appointment right away. So basically I wasted my whole morning with these doctors but I am happy to have found a different doctors office that can actually test my son. If you don't do toddler testing simply say so at scheduling.

Always a positive experience at Specialty Care! Dr. Goblin is amazing! Extremely professional, took the time to explain in detail what my issue was. Answered my questions and put me at ease.

I saw Dr. Dina Golbin-Hallett, DO, ENT. She was awesome. Very friendly and approachable and she listened. She was quick and thorough and picked up on something other doctors have missed, which might be something or might not. But at least I’m getting the right test. She’s informative, which I appreciate. Two enthusiastic thumbs up! Great doctor!

Dr Alvi was very personable and put me at ease. The nurse and receptionist were also very friendly and kind.
