My family and I have eaten in this place on several occasions, the food is good and we don't have to wait long, for this reason we always leave the restaurant satisfied. But today it was not like that, the boy who attended us at the beginning gave me a very bad gesture when I politely asked if he speaks Spanish (I am a Spanish speaker), however we continued on. We made our order, nothing out of the ordinary, but when we finished and asked for our check, the manager added 18% service to the bill without even asking us (it was just my son, my husband, and me). When we approached her to ask why, she told us that people always come to eat and leave them a tip because they are providing a service. I told her that I always leave a tip, I also work as a waitress and I appreciate the work they do and how important it is for the server but that she should ask us before including the tip and that if she wanted to add it voluntarily it should be for a table larger than 5 people and %15. She proceeded to change the check for the %15 tip and told us in a very rude way that if we didn't want to pay for the service to make a carry out order. I never refused to pay for service, we always pay for service because we are satisfied. but not in this way, we made it clear to her that what she was doing was not legal and that we would pay 15% but keep in mind that what she was doing could bother other people. we ended up walking out of there leaving more money than expected because we honestly didn't want to argue with her anymore or deal with her bad attitude. I don't want to assume that she acted that way because we are Latinos, but what I am sure is that it was a very bad experience and we will not go to this place that we used to recommend to our friends anymore.

Wow...what a nice surprise for a little restaurant tucked away in suburban a strip mall. The empress tofu was the crowd favorite for sure. Biggest selection of vegan options on the menu at affordable prices. Thank you!

The food was amazing but the service was very poor...I came to eat and was seated didn't have any silver wear to use no napkins when I ordered and got my food the waiter still didn't give me anything to used to eat my food I had to used the serving spoon which is so big and still no napkins to use...never asked me how's the food or if there's anything else I needed. The server was so busy on the phone while he was on the clock talking with his family. .then asked me if I am going to give a tip...I told the manager nop he don't deserve it and he shouldn't be on the phone while he on the clock and pay attention with the customer's need...but I would still order food from this restaurant but not stay to eat...

Food was good as always, but service is lacking. Watched a couple walk out after waiting to be seated for at least 5 minutes. Lady taking care of the front area seemed confused and overwhelmed by a take out order.

I moved to gatlinburg tennessee in 2020. I still drive back to silverlake for sesame chicken. I order 8 large orders and take them home and freeze them. Best chinese food in 620 miles from there to silverlake.

When you need a Chinese food fix this is a great place to come. It’s pretty consistently good and the portions are large.

Very good food and convenient location. We mostly do take out so i cannot comment on the service when you eat in but when i come in to pick up my food they are always very nice.

Everything was great, some of the best Chinese food in the area and reasonably priced.

My girlfriend and I had dinner here tonight and later in the evening we have been feeling SO SICK from our meal here. Had the crab Rangoons that felt like they were just warmed up because they were not crispy nor did they taste fresh. My girlfriend had the sesame chicken entree and I had the orange chicken entree. Both dishes were luke warm when they came out. The past three times we’ve eaten at this Silver Lake location, it has been extremely disappointing and unappetizing. Not to mention our dinner was $65 tonight for the two of us and to receive our food prepared in such a fashion is BS. I won’t be back to this location ever again…

1/22/23 - 5 of us ate here today & LOVED all the appetizers & meals. So fresh & delicious with generous portions. Friendly & accommodating service. Decent & comfortable dining room. Clean restrooms. Very hard to find an authentic Chinese restaurant like this these days. We brought my inlaws to the restaurant yesterday. The food was very delicious & plentiful. The service was impeccable & accommodating. I asked for chicken subgum & they made it for me even though it wasn't on the menu. All five of us had something different & all want to return. We are so happy as it has been difficult to find a good Chinese restaurant since the pandemic. We had eaten here once before & found the food to have too much sodium for us so we requested lower sodium. It was perfect!

Super tasty! My 3 year old loves their shrimp fried rice! Delicious!

Ordered food for New Year’s Eve. Food took a little bit longer to prepare which I think is very understandable. The lady working front end was super sweet, and totally tried to get everyone out the door quickly. The food was excellent and I’m really thankful. Thank you guys for working so hard and have a great new year :).

My favorite place for Chinese Food in my area. And, located at a Great location. From my destination of travel.

Generous portions. I have never dined-in but rather picked up for take out about a dozen times over the past five years. The service is always very good and fast. Food is always complemented with soy sauce and plenty of spicy red sauce upon request.

First time experience: Placed order (to go) in the restaurant, after 12-15 minutes it was ready. Inside little bit outdated with traditional chinese "decor", not busy at 7:30 pm. Mongolian Delight Large size for 17.50$ Main dish packed very good in plactic bag (so the sauce will not spill all over the paper bag), white rice with no chlorine smell, two fortune cookies, utensils and soy sauce, no napkins. Brown sauce very good, pieces of meat flavorful and tender, onions crispy and juicy. It's a big portion, ate just half. Will come back and try other specials.

My Go-To for the Best Chinese Food! I almost exclusively order online and get it delivered. Very convenient! I especially Love the Yang Chow Wonton Soup, the Fine Cut Pork Chop Suey, the Spicy Fried Rice and now you can get it all with Brown Rice. Also, I have been on a Mushroom kick and I can add Mushrooms to everything! I order in bulk and use for lunch and dinner over multiple days. Delicious!!

I have been eating here for years. Good dishes ... Egg foo young, ma po tofu and pork, orange chicken, etc... Worth the trip.

I ordered spicy vegan fried rice with Broccoli and spring rolls. It was pretty good! The person that took the order was familiar with the vegan options. When I got to the restaurant the cashier asked if I ordered an egg fried rice and made me a bit worried, but there was no egg and my rice was vegan

Decided to order a large Curry Chicken for takeout because it has been good here in the past. Got home only to discover that at least 1/3 of the volume of vegetables were crinkle cut french fries instead of oriental veggies. Obviously added as cheap filler. If I wanted to spend $$$ on a large fry I would have gone to McDonalds!

This is our go to Chinese food restaurant for many years. My wife and I work from home on Fridays so this has become our normal Friday lunch date (take out). I highly recommend the Mongolian beef.

Our favorite Chinese food place for quite some time. Food is consistently good and always right on time. Great folks wait on you also.
