Went to enjoy but was served crab leeches all on my crab legs, shrimp ,corn and potato. Was charged full price $65 for a meal of sea bugs . I literally ate leeches. I think I'm gonna be sick .

Unfortunately only 2 stars. I’m big fan of Cajun kitchen and was expecting to get delicious food and spend awesome evening home with favorite food but only was very disappointed. No souse at all, just a little bit on the bottom of the bag. We ordered bowl to try everything and only sausage was testing good. All food was tasteless just boiled (I don’t have COVID). Sorry guys but you need to improve on your kitchen. Hopefully one day I’ll be back and change my review to 4 stars at least.

This review is for the people who, like me, thought “oh, well there’s 4+ stars and 1000+ reviews so it must be worth trying”. It’s honestly not, there are far better options like Cajun Seafood and Bar in Oakbrook or even The Boiler Room off of dempster. Here’s my reasoning behind this: the food at crazy crab is pricier to begin with, while also having lower quality food. The seasoning in the bag should be thick and heavy, but our bag was 3/4 oil while 1/4 had some very little of the seasoning mix. The crab legs were small, not enough meat in them. The shrimp were slightly overdone which made them more chewy and dry. Garlic noodles are tasteless no salt either on them. I would say 2 stars for the service only because they were kind, but the food overall is not worth it. Like I said in the beginning this is an honest review for the people who feel it may be worth giving this place a shot, save your time and money and go to either of the other two spots mentioned.

MOST RECENT REVIEW: take a look at the attached photos. Potatoes and corn are charged extras, but this store gives you HALF of a potato and a QUARTER of a corncob. Not only that, if you look at how watery the sauce is, you will see that it looks NOTHING like the images provided in their website. AVOID THIS PLACE. An absolute scam and I feel cheated. Never will I revisit this place.

Crazy crab... “seafood boil”. This type of seafood has been taking the US by storm! It’s all over. This place does it right! The Cajun sauce is right on and the price is decent. Expect to pay $80-$100 or more for two people. If you are not spending enough, you are not getting the full experience. This is the first time being here but back home in Michigan we go seafood boil eating often. This is like eating steak and it can be enjoyable when done right. This place does not give you any garlic in your sauce but some places do, some don’t. If you have not eaten this type of food, you will be surprised. It’s really good if you like seafood. Avoid this place if you cannot eat shellfish. Highly recommended! FYI, as of 3/6/21 crawfish was $16 lbs and shrimp is $20 lbs

I've only been once and I didn't try everything but do not get the 3lb sampler bag. I think a lot of the weight was the potato and corn. The snow crab legs were puny and the crawfish was small and horrible. I also did not like the mushy texture of the sausage. The shrimp, mussels and clams were good and the setting was fun and quirky. Overall I'd say too pricey for the quantity and quality of the food.

I ordered the crazy pot (basically a variety bag) and was extremely disappointed. The seafood is extremely bland. A complete waste of $62. I live in Chicago so I’m used to seafood boil spots like The Angry Crab, Two Fish, and Cajun Boil. I expected my food to be flavorful.. There’s barely any garlic butter in the bag, and the shrimp actually does crumble as you peel off the shell. Also, my shrimp was not deveined! I could not bring my friends here because it would literally be considered disrespectful. Therefore if you’ve experienced good quality seafood (especially at the places I just mentioned), DO NOT EAT HERE!

We come here often, if you enjoy cajun style seafood, this is a good place to visit. We ordered the Crazy Pot "I love hot" style. The food came fast, and our server Jocelyn was very attentive and pleasant. We had a couple of issues with our order, and even though at first we got a firm "no," she came back and made it right. Overall, the experience was really good. We ate coming back for sure.

Didn't like the food. I get that it comes in a bag and all, I was fine with that but what got to me is that it appeared to be microwaved. You just can't microwave seafood it takes the natural seafood fresh flavor away. Scallops (what I got) seemed to be just like plastic. I've grown up on seafood of all sorts and this wasn't it for me. Overall the service was great, the waitress was kind and attentive (left her a good tip cause it's not her fault I didn't like the food) our starters were delicious which is why I expected so much more out of the food. My biggest problem here is the way the food is cooked and the taste it lacks.

It was my first time ordering here because I hear so many great reviews. My order was made perfect timing as requested. I ordered 2 orders of the Red Alaskan King crab, 1 order of the headless deveined shrimp, 2 orders of fried calamari, and an order of wings. The crab was great, juicy, and a lot of meat. I asked for the garlic butter with calm heat. I'm not sure if the calm heat is still supposed to be spicy but it was quite spicy for my kids, even for myself and I can toleratea good amount of heat. I prefer no heat for my crab. The shrimp was also made the same. The shrimp was also great but again the heat wasn't what I expected to be for calm. The wings were huge pieces, which was great but the flavor and texture wasn't good for me. It was a bit over fried. The fried calamari was also over fried and barely calamari in it. There wasn't even a lemon or cocktail sauce. Maybe I'm so used to the fried calamari from Palm Court, or Shaw's, or Maggiano's. It was such a waste because I have 2 orders of it. Maybe old oil too, I'm not sure. From my order, I'll probably order the shrimp and crab again but most likely skip on anything fried.

I'm about to get ready to dig into Cajun boiled seafood, and I'm very excited because I'm a newcomer to this cuisine. The tone of the place is laidback. The customer's artwork on the wall is the main focal point of the decor. I think it's creative and innovative marketing. It will encourage customers to return and check to see if their work is still visible. I would appreciate it if they could turn down their hip hop playlist because conversing with someone can be difficult. The beignet here is round rather than square. It's airy and fluffy. I enjoy it since it is somewhat sweet, which I prefer in all deserts. Fried oyster basket with crinkle fries was hot and fresh when it arrived. The serving is fairly big. The fried oyster batter was unseasoned, but a cocktail sauce was provided as a dipping sauce to give it some taste. We got a combination sampler, which is 3 lbs of a good selection of seafood. It has crawfish, clams, shrimp, mussels, crab legs, corn, potatoes, and sausage. The sauce was tasty, and it really brought out the flavors of the other ingredients. The service was fast, and the food was hot. The server is insufficient. I had to hunt him down just to get a refill, and he was unaware of us after he finished serving the food. The stay was pleasant, and I enjoyed the food we ordered. It's a great place for a casual get-together with friends and family.

Can't get enough of the sauce and sea food. I am still enjoying the carry out as we want to try different things

This place was amazing. The food was so absolutely delicious and fantastic. Their calm and getting crazy sauces were great. Not too spicy at all. Smelled amazing when it came out and tasted amazing too. Will certainly be going back.

All three sauce mix (lemon pepper, Cajun, garlic butter), order rice, spoon all that awesome sauce and seafood juice mix from the bottom of your bag onto the rice. You're welcome.

We love Crazy Crab. It's definitely a good experience if you like crab. The sauces are delicious. We always get the Alaskan snow crab with mix of garlic butter and cajun spice. If you can handle, try the insane spice level with less salt. The sauce goes well along with rice. They have sale of the day every weekday. Tuesdays are the best.

This was the PERFECT place for my family outing. We needed a place where decorum was not necessary. The 3lb combination “dirty pot,” was the best thing that ever happened upon my taste buds! The sausage, potatoes and corn were excellent. I thought the clams and headless shrimp were game changers in the seafood pot boil game!! Go. Here. Today!

First time to this location. The place was fun and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed the food and kids enjoyed writing on the wall.

We went for the first time tonight and enjoyed our experience. The food is overpriced but I feel the combination option is fair and was filling for 2 of us. We also got the Cajun fries which were good. I really enjoyed the music they played but my iced tea tasted like water. We would go back

Ordered the seafood mix ($63+tax) with a mix of all 3 sauces and a little kick. It came with 1 corn, 2 potatoes, 2 sausages, 1 snow crab cluster, mixed shrimp, mussels and clams. The sauce was ok. The crab legs were good. However, the crawfish tasted like dirt and there was an underlying rotten flavor to the whole bag. The sausage was brown (supposed to be a pink kielbasa) and soggy. Celery seasoning was prominent. I tried to keep eating but found myself becoming nauseous with that underlying dirt/rotten flavor in the bag. Would not recommend, such a waste of $70+ bucks.

The Crazy Pot was an excellent choice for my mom and I to share during our first visit at Crazy Crab. I highly recommend the "Getting Crazy" sauce blend with all three flavors (thanks for the recommendation, Derek). Derek was so kind and hospitable as our server. Please give him a raise! It was mine and my mom's first time having Cajun cuisine in the bag-style with the Crazy Pot and you guys killed it with the food and service.

Excelent restaurant for seafood, bit you have to be ware that you have to eat most of the food with your hands, because they bring your food inside a bag and shake it in order to mix with the spices

We got there when they were supposed to be open but they were not. There were 4 cars of people who were waiting in front 10 minutes prior to opening. Then a girl came out and told the people waiting it would be another half hour before they open. That's CRAZY to me. Honor your hours. Ordered clans and shrimp. Both tasted great but the clams had s lot of conch. I was chewing very slowly to not smash one. The shrimp were awesome. The spice was a little less I thought

Very delicious food. Specially all the appetizers. Reason for 4 stars is because this is a restaurant not a club where music is loud and bass is too high. We told the staff to lower volume but they didn't bother. No complains regarding food though 👍

Great customer service, from the hostess, waitress and cashier. Timeliness was great. They ran out of cayenne Pepper which made the seafood lose its flavor. But overall one of my favorite places to dine in.

This Cajun seafood boil is a great local favorite! My family and friends love coming here for the Monday shrimp special. They have daily specials that are all different. They offer a few different boil flavors and different spice levels. Eating here can get quite messy, I don't recommend wearing nice clothes because they could get ruined with the delicious sauces. The service is usually good. It can get busy some nights for dinner.

Did a pick up order to eat at home, we always get the crazy pot to share. Started to eat and it was like eating sand. Great, so we grabbed the shrimp hoping it would be better.. The shrimp was soft and crumbled in our hands, signs of a Ecoli breeding ground. We tried calling them to notify them. They refuse to answer our calls, I called 10 times between 930 and 10pm, and got nothing but a full voicemail box. We threw out the food and went elsewhere. The next morning I called again, and got a different person. I was informed if I brought the food back that night I would get a full refund. I informed her they didn't answer my calls, like they knew it was bad....so now I get the choice of a partial refund, they can remake our food, or if I dig in my garbage and bring it back they will provide a full refund. I will never eat here again, and we spend good money each time we come. Zero stars for a scam company that takes advantage of their take out order customers.

Prices are twice as much as Atlanta but the seafood was great. Wings were heavily breaded and not that great. Service was excellent
