This hotel is covered in amazingly dirty art🦠I really regret not reading the reviews before staying. If possible, it might be better to look for a different hotel as soon as possible. If that doesn't work, there could be bed bugs, so we made sure to remove all the bed covers before bringing the lint roller from the car. The bathroom was also incredibly dirty, so I had to wipe down everything including the tables with alcohol wipes. The floor is sticky and smelly so I don't recommend taking your shoes off at all. There are strange people in the lobby at night and I think it's very dangerous.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. This hotel kicked us out with three little children. My family and I were staying at this hotel for a couple of weeks. At first, we were told that we had to rebook our hotel room with a new reservation 21 days after the initial check-in which we did at the front desk with no issues at all. However, when we wanted to rebook the room to stay for few more days, we talked to the front desk employee to let her know that we were going to do it first thing in the morning. The next morning, my husband went to the front desk to reserve again the room and pay, but he was told that we had to leave the room because the hotel was at full capacity and that we didn’t book any rooms online. He said that his wife informed the previous night at the front desk that we wanted to make a new reservation and that the employee said that it was ok; that no one mentioned anything about doing it online. The employee who was the same person who was at the front desk the previous night said that unfortunately there were no rooms available and that we needed to leave. We said that we didn’t have any place else to go, that we had three little children. We insisted on what we had said to her the night before and she only said that it was a misunderstanding and she couldn’t do anything about it. We asked to talk to the supervisor who said almost the same thing. She was very disrespectful. When we were trying to explain to her the situation she walked out and took care of other things. She kept saying that we didn’t do any reservation online, that there were no rooms available, etc. We asked her if they were going to kick us out of the hotel with our kids and she said that we had to leave or she was going to call the police. Both ladies (front desk associate and supervisor) had a very bad attitude and were very rude. At the end, we were forced to leave with our children and we were charged ( at a huge rate ) for the extra hours we stayed at the hotel while we were trying to find a solution to our accommodation problem. They didn’t offer us any information on places to go. Worst experience ever.

The front entrance and rooms smelled so strongly of smoke despite the no-smoking signs. The first room we were in had mysterious stains on the sheets and black footprints in the tub. We also found a ring left on the floor from a previous guest. The second room we were put in was hardly better. There was some food remnants on the counter in the kitchen area and soap/product residue all over the bathroom counter. We ended up leaving but refunds are not able to be issued without a manager so we have to call back another day and hope that we get our money back. I would not recommend this for anyone that wants a clean, low-stress stay.

Excellent rooms, loved the natural ambiance in the evening with sun rays shining in through the windows and the lovely plants outside. (Ask for a room with front view). Room was clean and had good vibes. No smells. Location is good and neighborhood is awesome. Lots of options to eat around. Highly recommend it. Esha was great at the front desk :)

Do NOT stay at this hotel. Our room had duct tape holding the counter together, mold in the bathtub, stains on the mattress (blood), and a smell that was atrocious. The carpets were stained and dingy. We called the desk and asked if they could bring a different mattress or give us a different room , but we were told no to both requests. I walked down to the lobby and told the attendant that the room was unacceptable and he did then find us a different room. Room number two was definitely better and the young man at the desk was friendly, but I would not stay here again. Filthy.

Horrible Hotel Experience While I understand that this hotel falls into the budget category, it still falls far short of even basic standards. It's reasonable to expect a clean bathroom, courteous customer service, and comfortable bedding, regardless of the price. Unfortunately, this hotel failed to meet even these minimal expectations, making it a disappointing and subpar choice for budget travelers like myself. The customer service was abysmal; the staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, making me feel unwelcome from the moment I arrived. The bathroom was a disaster zone and I wouldn't dared to step in if I had any other option. To make matters worse, there were hardly any toiletries provided. The beddings were inadequate at best. The sheets felt worst, and the pillows were lumpy. I tossed and turned all night, unable to get a decent night's sleep. Overall, my stay was an unpleasant nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. This hotel needs a complete overhaul in every department to even be considered a remotely decent place to stay. Avoid it at all costs!

Great location, but bottom of barrel hotel. They offer free on the go breakfast but its after im gone to work. Rooms have awful smell at check-in so u need to air out so you don’t get overwhelmed by the cleaning chem remnant. No silverware, plates,pots,pans...this is not an extended stay. They need to change the name.

Lady at check in was great. Towels reeked of beef jerky and cigarettes. Impossible to reach the front desk via phone. Bed was OK the first night but very uncomfortable when we woke up second morning Very thin sheets/flat pillows/stain on bed sheet. Unable to get more pillows when we asked. We found a syringe on floor in hallway. Overall, not terrible for the price. I liked that it was affordable. Decent location - directly across the steeet from a great pizza place (Bella Napoli), 24/7 7/11, and 10 minutes from woodfield

Not cool at all!! First it said it was pet friendly and after I get there I couldn't bring my kitten in who is trained and well behaved. She doesn't spray or have accidents at all. Then after I drive an hour out there they required a deposit of $50 on my card or $150 cash. Thank God I had $50 to put on my card otherwise I would have lost my money. They FAILED to inform me prior to booking!!! Also the maid came before check out time and I responded no thank u and she walked in and I had to hurry up and close the door. This place is very unprofessional and the room smelled bad and half the stuff didn't work. I was happy with the kitchenette but not worth the trouble

Roaches! Do yourself and the people around you a favor and don't stay here. Extremely dirty and the smell.... sewage. Never... ever again. Can't believe a place like this exists in Schaumburg. The town should shut this place down. Glad I didn't eat the breakfast on the first morning. I should've read the review first....smh.

DO NOT STAY HERE! You will regret every minute. The staff are so unfriendly and rude! And it seems like they are aiming at not having any guests at all. 1. They limit all guest stays to.less than 21 days. (Extended stay?) 2. I requested a bowl amd a fork, thats it! And i was told and i quote: we dont have any! (Room comes with full kitchen yet NOTHING ELSE!) 3. EVERY ROOM is so dated, unless you like faux gold trim and hunter greem spomge painting. 4. And a deposit Daily, thats actually equal.to.the cost.of.the room. (FOR WHAT?) This is not an extended.stay... it is some family experiment gone totally wrong. Im leaving the hot el and am excited.to go to.a.motel 6! Thats how.much this place.is.terrible.

The hotel was priced at a reasonable rate, which l secured through a third party. Because of the price, l can claim to be satisfied with my stay. The only derogatory comment I can write about is the smell in the corridors and lobby. There should never be any noticeable scent, particularly if it's unpleasant. I can't accurately describe the scent other than to say it wasn't a clean one. Cleanliness, unequivocally, should be the paramount, incessant concern of all hotel owners. On the positive side, one of the workers immediately came to my aid when he saw that my card key wasn't functioning properly. Also, a different worker knocked on my door just hours after checking in to provide additional towels. Both of those instances happened without requesting them. I would return to this hotel.

We paid for a QUEEN bed room but received a full-size bed, and when we raised the concern at the front desk, we were told it was the largest bed available. Pray for a room on the first floor because the second floor smells like FEET. The white towels provided were stained and worn, and despite requesting more pillows, we were informed it would incur an additional charge. We won’t be returning; consider staying at Extended Stay America - Chicago - Schaumburg - I-90, 2000 N Roselle Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60195 right down the street instead.

This hotel was just gross. I thought that if I could make it through the smokey lobby and elevator into my room everything would be fine. I was mistaken. The dirty kitchen, worn out furniture, and nasty bathroom (hair in the shower and no one had cleaned behind the door) had me leaving asap. I stayed in the room long enough to book another hotel and then checked out. The girl at the counter was nice, but didn't seem surprised when I told her.

Full refrigerator and freezer, microwave, stove top, sink. Comfortable bed. Laundry room. Really enjoyed staying here, except that people didn't clean up after their dogs. Would return. If other locations are comparable to this, will become my preferred provider.

Not at all value for money - $102/room I stayed there with my kids and parents in 2 room at Sunday 29-May-2022 The hotel is in a pathetic condition. Here is a list of inconvenience:- 1. No staff was there at the front desk for long time to check in and whenever it is needed. 2. Not a clean hotel. 3. My bathroom light was not working. 4. My cooking range was not working. 5. Booking says breakfast availble but no breakfast was there. 6. My room AC was not working. 7. Eventually I was tired of calling front desk.

I booked online headed to the hotel and was told that they were fully booked when i was checking in. I was told by front desk ( A Male ) I would be getting refunded/not charged. I noticed I was charged even though I didn’t stay due to being booked. I called front desk was very rude and told me i couldn’t get refunded because the booking was non refundable. But how is that my fault for them letting me book online not knowing they were booked and not even letting me check in ??? That’s not under my control. I would love to get my money back. Very unprofessional.

They canceled the reservation without even informing and when i arrived, i was informed that they have overbooked and can't accommodate. I had to drive there from the airport to find that out. They did not have the courtesy to call or send an email. It was a memorial long weekend and probably they might have canceled to get more money for walk-ins. I will definitely not recommend this location to anyone.

Attention all perspective guests : please use this review to assist you in using sound judgement when preparing your stay at this location Let’s begin: Clean ? Yes. Cleanliness was never an issue . Very clean rooms . All the time. ** Smell ? Yes a lot of cigarette smoke , especially on the 1st floor from room 145 to 157 You smell it heavily in the bathroom area. Aside from the cigarette smell it smells on the 1st floor in general. People smoke in the rooms when they are not supposed to. so I think that smell attributes to that. **Friendly staff ? There used to be but there’s new manager there so … no. Racist & unhelpful . The other staff are cool though very helpful where they can be . You’ll know who they are very quickly 😉. Loitering ? No . They will call police on any ghetto & Ratchet activity !!! ZERO TOLERANCE . Police are at this location frequently. No Karens , Kens , or Tyrone’s will be tolerated . **Wifi? It goes in and out every 5 to 10 minutes. Wifi is very slow on speed. The cable goes out when it’s raining . Sometimes it doesn’t have to be raining and it’ll go out. **Other things to be aware of : The water may randomly be off for a couple of hours or a day or so. I don’t know why the water doesn’t work sometimes , no one has ever gave warning nor an explanation as to why. Sometimes there’s no hot water at all for a day or so . So if you’re staying longer than 2 days please come prepared . Oh one more thing the majority of the rooms are updated so that’s nice . Book here at your own risk . Check out isn’t until 11 am but the staff will come & knock on your door at 7am to remind you. ( not cool ) .

Room was okay. Odd smell though and some weird looking pills on the floor 🤷‍♂️ takuto and I didn't mind however. The hallway was humid and odd smelling. No breakfast as it stated there was a hot breakfast. I saw none. No ice machines. The staff saved the rating though. The lady who was there in the evening when I checked in was super kind and very helpful. The lady who came by to tell me "check out is at 11" with quite the scowl on her face was less than pleasant. I always check out a little late to see how the staff will treat me. I was surprised as they usually don't care but this lady was not happy. The remote for the TV had good batteries but did not do anything on the TV and was broken. I gave it a three due to the friendly staff. But would have been a 2 otherwise.

Yes the location was very convenient. But the front desk person has a nasty attitude when we asked about the breakfast which was coffee and hot water. The room was okay want clean, the bedding was sheets, literally sheets to cover up with. We didn't even have toilet paper, towels, or soap. We had to wait almost an hour to get two towels!!

I stayed here about 4 nights, it's a pretty chill hotel. No one really bothers you. Front desk is helpful. Everything was okay just the rooms smell so strong like cigarettes, like the smell was really bad especially at night. But, other than that it was a good stay.

  • 1/5 Sadie B. 11 months ago on Google
Didn't even stay. Checked in and as we headed to room cigarette smoke smell was STRONG. Bad enough that I was sneezing and sons eyes started turning pink. Bedspread was stained all over as well as the sheets. Room was very rough, with big patches of different colored paint on various places. Tub was badly stained and had moldy caulk around. It was bad enough to that we checked back out and found a different hotel at midnight after an 11 hour drive.

If I could give this a zero I would. Very horrible place. The heater sounds like the whole building is about to fall off and the 70 inch TV in the rooms have no signal. What is the point of having a TV that does not work. The bedroom sheets were very dirty Like a gorilla had slept on it the night before. The telephone does not work. Towels are very cheap and very dirty. Would definitely recommend something else.

  • 1/5 Val P. 1 year ago on Google
Place was dirty. Elevators weren’t working. Place was extremely smelly. Smelled like chicken, but old chicken. Air conditioning didn’t work well. They had to move us to a different room, which was a big inconvenience. Only 2 little pillows per bed and they were “out of extra pillows”. Blanket was horrible: thin, cheap, inadequate. Bathroom was disgusting. Wife and I spent 5 nights there. I would not return to this place even if you paid me $400 a night. If you stay here: you have been warned.

This is one of the most disgusting stays I’ve had and for several reasons …. I had to change rooms twice, bring my sheets. Everything had dirt or a stain. The tubs have crud in the bottom of all of them. There are drip stains and dirty finger prints in doors , on cabinets , by light fixtures etc. The sheets and towels all have snags, are thin and worn and have discolored due to use and lack of replacing. There are a ton of rooms and literally one , senior cleaning lady for all of them. They also turned a bedroom into a trash room on each floor which does nothing but lure bugs and roaches into the building without a proper chute. Or all trash should be outside or near doors that lead to outside. And yes , we did leave after four days. I couldn’t take it. If your don’t need double beds please go to any Mainstay. They are much cleaner with fresher towels and newer furniture. You also don’t have to pay for quality internet , pots and pans. And they have staff to accommodate the upkeep of your room and the building in general. And costs less. Thank me later

if i could give 0 stars and still post a review i would. don’t book this place. when i showed up the hotel was swarmed by police. went in anyway bc i had no place else to stay. hotel smelled like mold. card reader wouldn’t read my card i had to type it in manually after being told to scan it 8 times. super uncomfortable experience in the lobby if you could even call it that. i went to my room bc again i didn’t have a choice and the floors were sticky and covered in grime, it smelled of mold and body odor. as a young woman traveling alone i did not feel safe or comfortable there. i left after 3 minutes of deliberating. waited at the front “desk” for 15 minutes to tell them i would be checking out earlier only for them to not show. i eventually left and got a new hotel through expedia. only went back there to give my keys back and they refused to give a refund because it was through hotwire and they “didn’t note” my issues and claimed the reservation was used despite me barely entering in the room. the wingate next door was where i ended up and it was much better.

Very clean, friendly, and comfortable. Rather than having a stocked kitchen, you have to request everything from the front desk, and I do mean everything! But, they have it all and get it for you willingly. This is not a fancy-schmancy place. It IS, however, perfect for a homey extended stay.

Disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. My wife went out and bought some cleaners to clean the bathroom. No soap in room, a half roll of toilet paper, telephone not connected to base (found cord under bed). The location of the place is very good, near everything and the beds were nice and firm. Don't want to talk about their breakfast.

It isn’t close to Chicago. It’s a 33 minute/hour ten minute on a bad day. That’s not the issue . I usually check reviews before booking and didn’t see the option and I see now . They’ve likely hid the option or something? Anyway, the fold out coach was gross , old nasty stained sheets were still on it . So there was no way I was sleeping on the one’s that were on the bed . I always request fresh linens, no matter how nice the hotel and I was given attitude from the desk guy when I requested it . He wasn’t pleasant at all , might I add. He didn’t give them to me until late that night , when I requested them again . There’s a $50 deposit that they don’t warn you about when booking and have it on your card or they want $150 cash. It does stink . The hotel in general . The towel rack was glued on 100x times over , tub wasn’t the clean, bathroom floor wasn’t clean either (see pictures). Then I requested more face towels b/c we weren’t given enough to begin with , and was told they didn’t have any and were being washed . Left and came back 8 hours later to the same excuse . Their” breakfast “is a joke . The pictures are nothing like room . Don’t be fooled like we were. It was so bad . My sister in law took her family and immediately checked out . We didn’t have that luxury b/c they got the last available room next door at Country Inn or whatever it was called but it was apparently better .

Come back in an hour and I'll give you a good review. Room disgusting. Service none. Need extra towels? Come back in an hour = (nope go to hell). Have any plastic silverware nope? Grab and go Breakfast a muffin the size of your pinky and a sign that says take ONE! Coffee cups the size of a water Dixie cup. Only booked because everywhere else was taken and so should you. Book anywhere else. There good reviews are clearly from paying a rating service or someone who rated the wrong hotel by mistake. If I could get my money back I would. I also wish I had taken photos of the nasty floor to share.

Extremely Disappointed with False Advertising and Poor Conditions Not only did they falsely advertise amenities they didn't provide, but they also neglected basic comforts that should be expected from any reputable establishment. As a paying customer, I believe it is essential for a business to deliver what they promise. Unfortunately, my experience at this particular hotel fell far short of my expectations. As a paying guest, I felt cheated, ripped off, and deeply upset by my experience. I strongly advise others to reconsider staying at this hotel until they rectify these issues and provide the services and comforts they advertise. It is my hope that by sharing my experience, other potential guests can make informed decisions and avoid the disappointment and frustration I endured. Adding to my dismay, the temperature outside was above 85 degrees, and to my surprise, the hallways leading to every floor lacked proper air conditioning. The lack of ventilation made navigating through the hotel extremely uncomfortable, leaving guests feeling hot, sweaty, and deprived of any respite from the scorching weather. It's astonishing that a hotel would neglect such a fundamental aspect of guest comfort. DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! Go somewhere else.

Location was great. However, the quality of the room is garbage. Room 324 sink is not even connected to the bottom. Came right out on the floor and flooded the room. I was changed to another room, but by the time 2pm came around and we decided not to keep the room, I couldn't get my money back. I understand it was after check out but anyway, my business will go somewhere else. You can keep that lil $76 dollars.

Well let's see one star in mainly due to the room. Room 307 has blown out sockets on the wall by the TV so you cannot plug anything else extra into the top two spots of the four. The bigger stove top burner is broken and I had a great time trying to cook my wife dinner. I'm currently sitting in the room now the floor is filthy, blackened filthy like it's never been cleaned and this is no exaggeration. The TV is crooked on the wall. The bed had black hairs all over and when I asked for more sheets I was told they were all dirty. Oh and wifi is almost non-existent from room 307. I've stayed in multiple extended stays and this one is by far the worst and pretty bad to a point that I actually did this review which I generally don't care to do. Shower pressure was terrible and whoever installed the shower I have no clue what they did, turn left and it's all hot turn it right and depending where you put the knob you could get hot or cold. I gotta say again the floor was disgusting. Buy a damn mop and stop being cheap.

We stayed here the end of August into the beginning of September, 3 days. It was close to a conference we were attending. The first room we were checked into had a water leak from the bathroom faucet. There was no hot water from this faucet and the water was running under the floorboards into the kitchen area. We asked for a different room but were not able to get one until the next day as they were full. This room--the bathroom faucet did not leak but had NO water pressure for the cold water so we had to use the kitchen sink for that. The refrigerator was not cool at all!! We put all our stuff into the freezer just to keep it cool enough. There was a door missing in the cabinet under the sink. This door was stuffed beside the refrigerator. We had one washcloth in the bathroom that looked like it had just cleaned up the floor. We asked for new ones which they gave us. The sheets were clean but stained in some places. Breakfast is only one very small muffin, coffee with no half and half and oatmeal. It's a crab and go breakfast, not what we expected from the website. I would not recommend staying here. It is one of the worst places we have stayed in a long time. There is no heart to care for the place or the customers.

I never write reviews but I feel the need to for this place. It was unsatisfactory from the moment I walked in, the curtains on the window were on the floor and the hooks on the wall were broken. So I was left with a wide open window that was not fixed. The place smelled of cigarettes and weed 24/7 despite the no smoking signs. The bed sheets had stains and I saw several bugs. I was very concerned of bed bugs. The blanket on the bed was extremely thin that I don’t think it even qualifies as a blanket. The worst part of my stay was when I went to the front desk regarding a question and the older man working began flirting with me telling me I was beautiful and asking if I was married. Mind you I look like I’m a teenager, barely 18. I was very uncomfortable my whole stay. I was also awoken every morning to the sound of people yelling at each other, both employees and other guests. I would not ever recommend this place to anybody.
