Good food and service! Every town needs a restaurant like Mr A's. Good reliable food.

Went for breakfast after a 5K race (run for the Roses). They were very prompt and organized in setting up seating for 16 (although started with 8) The food tasted excellent and portions well sized. Our waiter was so good and food came out in not too long of time.

Located in Roselle across from the train station,Mr A's serves breakfast and lunch all day. Known for their ham,portions are huge and prices are great . Service was very good and the meals were prepared fresh and served hot. Huge menu. Had the Eye Opener Special #1 with 3 eggs,huge slice of grilled ham and American fries with toast. A side of pancakes instead of toast was also an option. They offer skillets,griddle items,breakfast sandwiches,omelettes,Benedicts and eggceptional combos. Noticed many regulars which is always a good sign. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 230pm. Will definately go back maybe for lunch

Growing up in Mount Prospect, Mr. A's is a staple! When I saw this place on the map in Roselle, I thought, shoot, I better go check them out and see if they are related to the Mr. A's I know and love. We were not disappointed! While this place is owned by a different family, they are affiliated with each other. Same great quality, friendly atmosphere, great service, and an overall great time! The ham is always so delicious! We'll be back! Check them out, it's worth it!

If you are hungry for a huge breakfast, you need to come here. Portions are huge, cooked correctly, and your coffee mug never gets empty. The staff is delightful. Fun to cut up with. I will come here again.

I'll try my best not to come off like a curmudgeon in this review😆... The food and wait staff were excellent, even though they were super-busy when we went on a Saturday morning. Also, I really like the updated decor, compared to most other "Mom & Pop" places in the area. (Sorry, I didn't take photos, but there are already some in other reviews.) We did have to wait over 10 minutes for the food (totally understandable since they were slammed at that point), but the food was worth the wait - delicious and generous portions. Yes, I can corroborate what others have raved about the ham - it is exceptional!) What I didn't appreciate was when they suddenly turned on the cheesy classic rock soundtrack that put a strain on the nice conversation i was having with my out of town guests. Ironically, just a few minutes before the music went on, I was actually telling my friends how nice it was that this was the only restaurant I'd been to in a long time that wasn't blaring music right over your head, causing you to have shout at each other and repeat yourself a lot. Oh well, maybe I am just a cranky middle-aged man🤨...

Delicious breakfast joint with fast, friendly service. The skillets and eggs Benedict were very good, and the servers were friendly and attentive. Great spot for a quick breakfast or a large family gathering. Highly recommend if you are looking for a sweet or savory breakfast!

Excellent service, great food! Our server was very friendly and so sweet, only sorry I didn't get her name to give her a proper shout out! I had the Greek omelette and my friend had the cinnamon swirl french toast, amazing! Fruit was fresh and amazing wheat toast! I have a serious love for restaurant toast, and this toast didn't disappoint! My friend and I choose a random breakfast place every month, this was a great place on our list!

I love this place! The food is awesome and the waitstaff are efficient and kind. My only complaint is they are only open till 2:30pm. I'd love to have supper there too.

Good homemade food. I love the stuffed pepper soup. All the soups are homemade and breakfast is always good. We have been there twice. Once with excellent service and a 2nd time when we waited 10 min to be acknowledged at the table. However, the server apologized, they had two large parties walk in at the same time. It seems the kitchen got backed up and they were not prepared for such a large crowd. She was very apologetic.

Such an cool restaurant. The food is delicious I never had such good oysters in the whole state that taste this good. Atmosphere is laid back, classy. The server was nice and even the chef came out! All compliments to the staff. Love this place

What can i say? my family and i LOVE this place! so many options, the service is so great, all the servers are fantastic! The owner is a nice guy too! we come back at least once a month. my mom and grandma are huge fans of the split pea soup, we always get a pint to take home with us! If you live in the roselle area or are visiting, you will not be disappointed.

Just like I remembered as a kid. Was excited to go back! Will be there more often in the future! Got to have the number one. Fantastic ham and eggs! My son had the potato chipped chicken and waffles. Best he ever had!

Excellent experience today for breakfast 😋. The wife and I had 3 entrees and all were stellar. Skirt steak skillet, Southwest Eggs Benedict and the Banana Split waffle(our favorite) was all great. My coffee was never cold and the food came out promptly.

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast, just wish it was closer to my house. Why, it’s run like restaurants used to be run pre pandemic. Coffee and water filled constantly, you see something on the menu but want it modified, no problem. Place is usually bustling with people, specials like pumpkin pancakes, French toast worth trying.

As someone who travels for work, it’s hard to find a place with quality and consistency. Mr. A’s is definitely a top notch place to eat! The staff is very friendly and pays attn to detail no matter how busy it gets (and it gets busy!). The chefs are cranking out food super fast and never compromising on quality. The servers are on the move making customers happy and the owner is not only very friendly, but is working hard like the rest of the staff. To be honest, I’m still trying to figure out how Sam has assembled the Avengers of the restaurant business! Support this business at all cost! It’s worth your time and definitely worth your money! I could write 10 more reviews for Mr. A’s, it really is the best!

Great local diner. Service is very fast and friendly. In addition to the usual diner fare, this restaurant has a number of menu items catering to the healthy eater. The Healthy Egg Scrambler is very good. Their soups are also extremely well done. Chicken noodle and split pea are the usual favorites.

Oh boy what a wonderful treat ! Mr. A's was simply great ! The meal was delicious. I had a cheese and mushroom omelette and it was excellent ! But what made this breakfast even better was the incredible young server we had ! His name was Sid and he was just the best ! He was funny and kind. He helped us find just the right meal and never made us feel rushed ! He took his time with us and made us all feel so welcomed and checked on us to make sure everything was just right ! It's not often that you find a young person who really enjoys helping customers like Sid does ! Thank you for such an amazing breakfast experience ! I am giving Mr A's 5 + stars And would Highly Recommend this restraunt ! Extremely clean Great tasting food Very well done presentation of food ! Just found this place. Good food at great prices. At least 10%-15% below similar restaurants. Friendly staff and a 25% discount on veteran's day. I will be coming back. It could be my new favorite breakfast place.

I've had carry out several times and dined in once. The food is amazing and I really enjoy their hash browns. I'm not always a fan of breakfast potatoes but these taste fresh and not too soggy. It's usually pretty busy but they are always quick with carry out orders and the patrons dining in as well.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is outstanding! Order came out quick and as ordered. Been here a number of times and haven't had a bad experience. Huge portions and easy to split meals. One adult plate could easily feed 2-3 kids 10 or under.

We used Mr. A's breakfast catering for about 30 people. Sam (the Owner) is great. He was very helpful, responded quickly to my inquiries and helped me make sure I would have enough food prior to my event. Everyone raved about how delicious the breakfast burritos & sandwiches were. The pastries and fruit were fresh and cut nicely. I picked up my catering order and Sam called me and said they had forgotten the condiments. He personally delivered them to my office, right away. I personally love Mr. A's and have eaten there many times. The catering quality is just as good as eating at the restaurant. I will absolutely be using them again for catering and will likely stop by in the very near future

Pleasantly surprised. Kelly was wonderful. The portions were bigger than I expected and that's always welcomed. Great flavor and not overloaded with salt. I would definitely visit again.

Their gyro platter is amazing and so much food! I like to add the waffle fries too! But they are known for their ham and my husband always loves the omelettes with ham in them. You can't go wrong here!

Solid performer in the breakfast arena. Attentive waitstaff keeps the coffee flowing and ensures all is well as you dine. Red velvet french toast was decadent and scrumptious. Maybe rethink handicapped parking placement closer to entrance.

They were somewhat disorganized, such as we had to ask to get our silverware, the waiter seemed to have little patience, and I could visibly see dead flies on the window sill. The food was pretty good. I got the number 5 and it was good. Fair prices also

Bright, clean and cheery. Quick friendly service and coffee cup continuously filled. Companion had 3 eggs over easy with ham medallions. Ham being their signature item. Denver omelet didn't disappoint. Always well done. However, I did long for the original emanation from years ago in Mt. Prospect when the Allison's would put 2 slabs of ham on top. A long ago tasty memory.

Spacious seating. Bright decor. Friendly staff. Huge portions. Delicious omelet. Breakfast potatoes cut too large and undercooked. Some may like it that way but I prefer hash browns. I'll be back and special order.

A nice local spot with a large menu of breakfast and lunch items. The service was good and helpful. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get and it was tasty. The coffee was also very good. I would probably come back if I'm in the area, but I am not sure it would be my first choice.
