I am originally from CT and fly in to Chicago, Illinois every year for Thanksgiving. Today we decided to go to a diner and saw this diner and chose to eat here. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. The interior is very pleasant to the eye, and everything about this place is nice and sweet. I had a deluxe bacon burger, medium well, and it was delicious. The fries were crunchy and the bacon was incredible. My whole family came here and every single one of us (5 people) were very satisfied and were full of delicious food. If you are looking for a nice diner, make sure to stop by Uncle Bill's Diner

I cannot say loud enough, this place is great. Authentic 50's diner with fantastic food, large menu, friendly fun staff who really take pride in what they do and what they serve. I hidden gem. Prices are super reasonable and their are daily specials too.

First time coming here after years of passing by. So glad we finally did!!! Food was absolutely delicious!!!! Price was great for the amount of food you get. Great service and atmosphere, celebrating their 25th anniversary, and on top of everything we got to meet the famous Uncle Bill!!! He was so genuine and sweet. Really made us feel like part of the family. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite or a family gathering. The decor was true to a 50s diner. Will definitely be spreading the word of this place! Dont hesitate to find out for yourself. Will be back soon for sure!

This is one of the most Friendly places I have eaten. Uncle Bill greeted you coming to and going. All of the staff treat you like family. If you get a chance must go. Come hungry they have great homemade soup that come with some of their burgers and fries.

This place is the quintessential diner and we loved it! We came for breakfast and not a one of us left even a little bit hungry. The place was clean, the food was just what you hope for, and the staff was GREAT! We'll definitely be back!

Good place to eat diner food. Only bad thing is the older gentleman who likes to talk down to the help in front of the guest which should be done in private not in front of every one!

We had a delicious skirt steak skillet. It was perfectly done. Coffee was not weak and the atmosphere was so friendly it was like being a part of the family. Cant wait to go back and try some of their other dishes.

Ist time there and I'm sorry I didn't stop before. Now I know why it's always crowded the food is amazing. The service is very fast, and personable. It was like having breakfast at home. Very nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back

Great food, service, and atmosphere. We stumbled on Uncle Bill's after leaving two other restaurants due to long wait times. We were lucky enough to be seated right away at one of two remaining tables. Small, local diner vibes. Staff was super friendly. Food was delicious. Stuffed but didn't want to stop eating! Next time we are in town we will be back. Overall I'd give them a 9.2/10 for breakfast.

The food is excellent (especially the chopped steak), prices are so affordable and the staff is very friendly. The owner goes out of his way to say hello and "have a great day" when you leave. I highly recommend.

The food and service is great, and they’re very helpful! Excellent prices for the serving sizes you receive. The soup of the day was so good I had to ask for one to go! Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

The kitchen is open, allowing grease and cooking smells to enter the dining area. Employees and customers are VERY nice. Customers always say hi, which is welcome in a lonely world where we had to wear masks just a year ago. The outside and inside is very bland, cold, and basic. They use cheap rolls and white bread that is too thick. Good for eggs and basic stuff. They open at 6 am, which is a plus. I hate Ihop and Denny's. They always give you extra ketchup rolls, etc. Good value in otherwise less than appealing atmosphere.

I’ve been to Uncle Bill’s Diner with my son many times and every time the service is fast, courteous, and friendly! The food is absolutely delicious, just like a home cooked meal. I love that without a doubt when we get there we are greeted and treated like we’re family, simply amazing! To everyone at Uncle Bills’s thank you!

Such an cool restaurant. The food is delicious I never had such good oysters in the whole state that taste this good. Atmosphere is laid back, classy. The server was nice and even the chef came out! All compliments to the staff. Love this place

I've had carry out several times and dined in once. The food is amazing and I really enjoy their hash browns. I'm not always a fan of breakfast potatoes but these taste fresh and not too soggy.

In the neighborhood for auto repair and it was lunchtime so I popped in and had the chopped steak. Good tasting food at very reasonable prices and a comfortable "homey" vibe. Recommended.

Good dinner food. Can get busy and a bit of a wait during rush breakfast time. But servers are friendly and bust their butts to give great service and makes sure the customer is happy.

True Chicagoland diner. Loved that the staff knew most of the patrons. Food was great, good prices and not overly greasy or insanely sized portions. Veggie skillet had real (not canned) mushrooms which is a win in my book! We'll be back to try the patty melts ❤️

We showed up about 30 minutes before closing time (because Google needs to update their hours) but the waitress was so friendly and told us it was not a big deal. We had ordered BLTs because we thought that would be quick and easy for the kitchen... turns out they made us fresh hot bacon and it was soooooo good!

I love Uncle Bill's! Heard the song "where everybody knows your name!"? It makes me think of this place: they are very welcoming, food is tasty, I love their soups! Did I day I love their soups! Very reasonably priced. I highly highly recommend this place!

We’ve been here for breakfast several times as a family. Very good eats. It’s a mom and pop greasy spoon type restaurant, and they do it well. 50’s themed. I’d avoid it Sunday mornings as church crowds seem to make it hard to get a seat, but any other day it’s been easy to get seated.

True Family diner feel atmosphere, friendly and funny staff. Wonderful cooks, they keep their work stations super clean and the food is the best home cooked flavor you can find.

Loved it we need more Diners like these. All my favorite places in Chicago are gone. I'd be there every week if they were closer. Had the roast beef it was excellent.

A great little diner. I've only had breakfasts there, and they were great. I have been told their other meals are good, one person especially liked the meatloaf.
