Beautiful little preserve area, lots of different trails that are well marked and beautifully maintained. Plenty of seating areas throughout. Many trails to hike. One of our top favorites spots

Saw a lovely family of swans while canoeing. Also, birds eating from your hand is a curious sensation. Very fun!

BRING BIRD SEED WITH YOU. Absolute favorite place for a walk. I get to explore so many natural feature and species. Give me a love for birds every time I go here. Special place with long history of many generations of tons of bird species. The birds have been extra friendly here throughout generations. It’s hard to find that anywhere else. Take a big loop. Go on trails with less people. Explore. More chances to have a bird feed of your hand

A really great and peaceful experience. Just.. maybe leave the kiddos at home it's not a place to climb and hike and explore but a quiet experience. Must wear long pants and or spray for bugs!!!

$10 per car until 4 pm. 12 miles of well groomed trails. This a very pleasant hike, mostly in the shade. It is a perfect place to walk on a hot day.

Beautiful little preserve area, lots of different trails that are well marked and beautifully maintained. Plenty of seating areas throughout. Staff is wonderfully helpful, the map is a bit iffy but still fairly useful. Some trails were flooded (though they do well to warn you before you get out there) but most of the major sights are still accessible despite this.

Awesome place to go for a hike in topsfiield/Ipswich area, I've been there many times. You also get to see many different kinds of birds, turtles, newts, frogs and snakes in their natural habitat!!! It is around a big river. There are many trails here and you will never get bored!!! There is a big parking area and its closed on Mondays. Would definitely recommend it!! Whenever I went it was never busy here. So it can a good place for a quiet hike with nature. There are 12 miles of trails to hike on. The trails are well marked there is also a small gift shop. That sells maple sugar, honey, stuffed animals, shirts and earrings. Its a protected wildlife sanctuary. Its a beautiful area to explore you always find new things!!!

Beautiful area. Lots of groomed trails to walk. Pay $10 fee for the car if not an Audabon member.

A beautiful park for a short easy strolling through forest and on riverside walks. A LOT of birds! Well maintained paths. There is an entrance fee, though, if not a member of Mass Audubon. Winter (without snow) forest & ponds were beautiful, will try other seasons.

Great place to see birds with nice trails along the coastal marshlands. I only had about an hour, but still got to see a bunch of different birds up close including a hawk. Parts of the trail were submerged after a rainy week, but the views were still amazing. Admission fee was $7 for adults and $4 for kids.

This was a first for me. I was told birds will eat out of your hand but it's something you need to see to believe. Believe it! The chickadees and the nuthatches welcomed us with their company and ate out of our hands. It was a day well spent. I will definitely go again when it's warmer and the migratory birds return. Bring bird seed.

Wonderful property with trails to explore. There's a natural playground for children, a pond with turtles and ducks, another pond with lots of ducks, so many gorgeous birds, and lots of walking. Enough space for people to spread out even on a busy Monday holiday (over school vacation). Highly recommend wearing rain boots, muck boots, or hiking boots as the trails can get muddy (it is next to the river, but my feet stayed dry in hiking boots). Enjoy!! $10 to park or you can get a membership which benefits the park.

I came here with a friend, for the first time, on the 67 degree day in February. We enjoyed a lovely hike and fed the birds. There were many families as it was February vacation, however it wasn't crowded. It was so tranquil and relaxing!

Beautiful spot. I think it's silly that they keep the gate closed at times... but it really is lovely place to walk, bird, and explore. My kids love the little playground area too!

My favorite spot in the north shore! Perfect place to disconnect from the suburban sprawl and reconnect with nature. I especially enjoy their native gardens. They also have plenty of benches throughout the reserve, which makes it a perfect place to take my grandpa

We only got to explore a small section of the park and some of the trails were partially flooded, but it was pretty with many birds, even in the dead of winter. Show up early to avoid the crowds! Entrance is $7 per adult.

The Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary is a great place to spend an hour (or a few) to reconnect with nature. Nice, well-maintained hiking trails with lots of birds to see, of course, including waterfowl (several species of ducks and geese), wading birds (herons, egrets), raptors (red-tailed and Cooper’s hawks, bald eagle), and many songbirds (too many to list). The chickadees, titmice, and nuthatches will eat from your hand if you bring sunflower nutmeats.

This wildlife sanctuary is a large preserve that protects a large portion of the Ipswich River and surrounding forest. A series of well-groomed trails offer multiple walking opportunities, including an area known as the Rookery, an unique rock formation that includes a short tunnel and fun diversions for kids enjoy climbing and exploring. The buildings at the sanctuary entrance offer interpretive displays and a birdwatching window overlooking a garden area designed to attract birds. One trail section is known for its friendly birds who watch for bird-feeding walkers who bring bird food. Some will even land on an arm to gather the treats. The forests are well-maintained and the river offers boating opportunities. A very pleasant walk will spot many turtles, some fish, and perhaps a snake or two.

There are many miles of well maintained trails here. They also have a Chargepoint EVSE if your car is running low on juice.

👍👍 I had an amazing experience with the barn , We had our dream wedding and the place was perfect !! Martha helped so much with everything and every question. We were so happy. We used inside for the ceremony and outside for food and tables and tend.

😠 In fairness, haven't played more than a dozen or so courses, but this is by far the worst of them. Almost feels abandoned. Mostly knee-high grass, with a lot much higher. tee boxes overgrown with weeds. All holes are par 3, even though they vary wildly in difficulty. No signs describing hole layout...
