This is one of the Best Idly's I have ever tasted. For Just Rs 20 you get a plate of Idly and interesting thing is you get 6 idly's for a plate. so for just 20 bucks you can fill your tummy with some amazing taste. Softest idly paired with amazing Spicy chutney. Its just a mouth water experience. If you are taking Kanakpura road do head out to this 50 year old eatery and give a try. Remember there is one corner building with fancy red hordings with same name and its not the original one. save this post go ahead to have some amazing Idly. and Don't forget to take water bottle if you have one with you in car. Their Mug will be kept to drink water :)

Was searching for zero star. Watching Food lovers TV went there all the way from Bangalore 160 kms to and fro today(Mar 21, 2023). Idly was terrible. It didn’t steam properly. My mom makes it much better than this. Why the hell YouTuber create this hype. May be people search about it and they will get views? to screw up all fake reviews of YouTubers, I would need someone to create YouTube channel which post genuine review. Completely disappointed. If you are going somewhere via Kanakapura, if it’s on the way, u can give a try and u can regret same like I do. Otherwise like me going all the way from Bangalore only for idly, it’s really waste of time, energy and hard earned money. I’m angry on YouTubers not the one who makes and sell idlies. The old man who makes idlies- I appreciate even at this age, he does hard work and taking care of son and daughter in law. May be idly turns bad as he turned old, I’m not sure. Check the idlies pic, u can make out how it is

Everyone will start giving good reviews once they taste the yummy idli and chutney here... For 20 rupees you get 06 idlis.. The taste is damn good.. You feel like taking a parcel too..if you are visiting on weekend make sure u reach soon /early within 8 am... One more important thing.. You get 2 kote idli shops.. One at the eatrance/ corner of the road.. That is not original kote idli.. Just enter the road for another 50 mtrs and on the left side you will. Find this IDLY palace... Cheers and happi eating... ✌️✌️✌️👌👌

Visited this place after seeing Food Lovers TV.. the ride is worth especially with newly put road, so definitely go for this weekend morning ride / drive. The chutney served is good but there is no consistency in idly and that’s mainly due to huge crowd…due to which the guys serving are in hurry and end up serving idly which is not cooked… hope they consider this and not hurry up thereby loosing customers. Mr Raghvendra is amazing to see with such dedication towards his work. Overall worth visiting or stopping by when near to kanakapura. Happy eating

Idly was really good, but I felt it's over hype .. nothing very much special ..but yeah ... Chutney was too good .. and the price is also very less .. 10₹ -3 idlies 20- 6 idlies For 3 idlies they call half plate .. They have only idly nothing else ... No vada not other breakfast If u want to have only idly plz visit .. or just for time pass from Bangalore you have a ride and just eat and go back .. Don't come here to just to taste ... There is a very small road which connects this place so be careful while u drive a car coz it's gonna block other vehicles.. The idly is cooked is a large vessel and within minutes it will be over I didn't feel they use soda .. after eating also I felt very light

You get 8 idllys to 20 ruppes with awesome chutney, the hotel may be small but you get a best experience there, there are many other food, but compared to other food I prefer you to eat idlly as it is famous there, the taste of chutney is awesome, I would not prefer for traveller's as they would not like the hotel as there is no proper place for parking.

Visited this renowned Kote Idli in Kanakapura, a novel experience to be having food in an old house with a tiled (henchu) roof, a 50 year old eatery. Please refer to the pics for the original place and do not visit other fake places with same name in that locality. I had never seen woodfire idlis before, so the look is intriguing. The owner's clothing (boots, for example, and his sense of style must be seen!!) Price - It costs you Rs. 20 for 6 idlis including chutney. Idlis are tiny, but they may fill the stomach of a typical diner. Taste - The chutney has a burning tongue and lips. Their USP is that. The idli in this location are made of smooth batter and are best consumed immediately after preparation. However, "coarse" batter idlis typically taste well when served cold as well. You can visit this place for a unique experience.

Fluffiest idlis steamed /baked with firewood in an old rustic half century old setup. ldlis are baked in huge moldplates lines with cloth which is good for health (most other idli places use plastic wrap as base lining which is carcinogenic. alert : chutney can be super hot to handle for many but very very tasty Single item menu though you may hope for uddina vade(Urd dal vada) if you reach early enough Of you go in a vehicle. Find a parking near arkavathy theater road and walk down. Land is too small for cars

I visited this overhyped, overrated place after many vloggers literally fooled me. Don't visit this unhygienic and tasteless hotel. If you're a fan of idly, visit Chiblu Idly in Saatnur for the best idly. I don't recommend this place for breakfast! I payed ₹20 for a plate of idly and red chutney. They served 6 idly!

Idli is really fluffy . Chutney has a coriander flavour and which was little spicy. Legacy hotel and they maintained a same taste from the begining as per the locals. One can surely visit this place in Kanakapura

Chiblu idly is the food that you get here. And that is the only dish made in this place. The idly is of medium size and 3 idlies cost 10₹ and there is 20₹ plate where you get 6 idlies and 30₹ plate where you get 9 idlies. There is no dine in option, this place is an old house and it's not a restaurant. You can pay the amount and get the dish from inside and have it inside standing or outside as well. Packaged Water bottle is available and parking is not available for four-wheelers, two wheeler parking is adjustable. Overall the food taste is pretty good and chiblu idly is kinda different from normal idly. The chutney they served was really very spicy. Follow me for more updates and stay tuned. I.G mr.gowda_

Idlis were so soft and the chutney was also good, full rustic atmosphere nostalgic, the main part which I liked was the Idli steaming set-up, one of the best I've seen in South India and lastly the pricing is so affordable, you get a full plate idli(6nos.) for just 20₹, amazing💥.It's similar to one near Mysore chamarajanagar road's Shivappa Idli.

One of the most authentic idly place in Kanakapura. Very genuine staff. Great Taste. Very pocket friendly. You get a plate of idly at ₹20 with 6 Idlis. The chutney is very spicy and adds the needed flavour to the idly. There is hardly any parking space here, so plan accordingly.

Tasty idli, Vada. Chutney and sagu are very good, different from other hotels and food joints. Food is hygienically prepared with home made masala. Take out is best option and to have it at your place on the way. Smiling proprietor who greets customer.

Can get too crowded, more preference to takeaway than dinein can cause additional delay. No parking space. Basic menu of only Idlis. Good tasty idlis though.

Had high expectations after viewing some YouTube reviews. But the food tasted okay and nothing great. It was not worth travelling 70kms from Bangalore for breakfast. You get the same feel of Mallige idli with red chutney, chutney was super spicy though. The hotel is 50 years old and you can definitely try when you are travelling towards Kanakapura. There is one more hotel with the same name(one of his relative) which has been recently opened up and is gathering more crowds. But the original hotel is a bit interior to the main road. Price also was very reasonable. For 2 people we paid 50Rupees (9idlis).

one of the oldest hotels in Kanakpura. This place was on my bucket list for a long time and recently I tried. Soft and hot idlis are prepared in batches by an elderly person and his son serves them. Place is an old house. Which gives you old-school hotel vibes and the taste of idli and red chutney is really good and they charge only 20₹ for 6 idlis. Place is very small and road that leads to this hotel is also small find a nearby parking when you go.

Old thatha and his daughter running an extremely economical idli place. Old fashioned, you can see grinders grinding fresh chutney, the idlis are fresh. Taste is good! You sit and eat to your heart's content and then pay. Very homely feel, as it is a manE after all, with red oxide flooring, taking you about 50 yrs back in time. Good pit stop for some fresh, homely thindi.

Kanakapura is my native place. From my childhood kote idly 💙was our favourite canteen for breakfast. The chetney taste is same from 35years. Moreover Mr Harish is my highschool class mate. so I oftenly visit there.

Good place for a quick & pocket friendly breakfast. Hot & soft idly along with spicy chutney(🌶️🌶️🌶️) was awesome. Bonda was super crispy outside and softer inside. Poori and rice bath is also available.

Good place to drive and have idly which is made in wood oven and traditional way, taste is very unique as method is different from.our town preparation, reaching the place-very hard to find parking best way park vehicle in main road take walk, but there multiple hotel with same name but check pic which we posted if that doesn't match then you are in wrong place :)
