strongly
advise
against
making
any
purchases
from
their
store.
It
appears
their
salesmen
prioritize
making
sales
over
providing
accurate
and
essential
information
to
customers.
They
fail
to
disclose
vital
details
crucial
to
informed
purchase
decisions.
In
my
case,
I
purchased
a
smartphone
along
with
a
2-year
Screen
Protection
Plan
at
the
time
of
purchase.
The
cost
of
the
plan
was
₹2149.
The
salesperson
assured
me
that
within
the
2-year
coverage
period,
if
my
phone's
screen
were
to
crack,
all
I
had
to
do
was
visit
or
call
their
store
for
a
repair.
However,
after
nearly
one
year,
when
I
contacted
their
store,
they
denied
my
request
for
repair
and
instead
asked
for
a
payment
of
Rs.
1499.
I
acquired
this
smartphone
to
aid
in
my
studies
as
a
postgraduate
student.
Given
my
family's
lower-middle-class
background,
I
relied
on
an
EMI
plan
to
make
this
purchase
One
year
later,
in
April
2023,
I
required
a
repair
for
my
phone.
Following
the
store's
instructions,
I
visited
their
establishment,
where
I
was
provided
with
a
link
to
upload
the
necessary
documents.
Store
representatives
assured
me
that
my
phone
would
be
picked
up
for
repair
and
subsequently
delivered
to
our
address.
Despite
my
request,
I
was
not
provided
with
a
written
copy
of
the
plan's
terms
and
conditions.
To
my
astonishment,
after
I
uploaded
the
required
documents,
I
received
a
call
from
their
service
center
requesting
a
payment
of
Rs.
999.
When
I
questioned
the
reason
for
this
charge,
I
was
told
it
was
for
handling.
It
was
during
this
conversation
that
I
discovered
the
plan's
limitations,
with
a
requirement
to
pay
Rs.
999
for
the
first
repair,
and
an
increased
charge
of
Rs.
1499
for
the
second
repair.
