Peaceful hike that is shaded. There is a decent amount of parking and it is paved. The trails are very well defined and there are some post markers along the way to tell you what trail you’re on. There are different trails you can follow, some of which have little creeks running along them, ponds, and small valleys. There is also a little hill that will give you a work out! This is a hiking place that anyone can go to, it’s easy hiking and walking paths. There are a lot of roots though so be a bit careful. There is also a picnic area in a shaded field.

This part of the preserve is a beautiful spot to sit and observe nature, read, meditate or reflect. It's very quiet except for any street traffic passing by. The traffic is really not much of a distraction because the scenery takes you in. There are lots of turtles and fish, I didn't see any ducks or geese. An old "no fishing" sign sticks up out of the water but several have done the opposite.

We hiked on this trail on 2/19/2023. As pups, we LOVED this trail! It has good smells and Mom and Dad said it smelled amazing especially being so close to the city. The ground was good on our paws. There were cute turtles to look at. Parking was a little sparse, but other than that it was great! That's an issue for our PAWrents 🫣😜

A Beautiful Nature Park And Trails. Whether You're Needing A Quick Break To The Forest Or A Long Hike Through The Trees, This Park Suprisingly Provides For All. Be Mindful That This Is Nature Preserve So Animals Are Present. Enjoy Your Time Here!

The preserve is in Morrow, GA, just outside of Atlanta and about 20 minutes from the airport and it is so green it’s almost monochromatic. But of course it’s not; there or brown leaves on the forest floor and the paths are red and brown and the bright yellow sun kept trying to peek through. Most of the trees were Swamp Chestnut Oak, and can grow to a height of 100 feet. The entire preserve is only 146 acres, but there are several hard packed trails going here and there and around so I had no trouble getting in 3 1/2 miles.

It was a great adventure. However, what was supposed to be a 1-mile hike turned into 3 with the youngsters leading the way. We were grateful for the air-conditioned center at the conclusion. Extremely nice staff.

Lots of deer and has multiple trails to walk. It was clean and had a few paths that were easy and some that were a little more difficult. Beautiful view all around.

This nature preserve has long been a mainstay of my childhood and now my adulthood! I absolutely love this park and the trails, however my last hike on Monday left me a little disturbed. Instead of cleaning and up keeping the nature preserve the park's workers questioned me about wearing a mask, even why I had it off for a brief moment (I was reflecting on family members who I had lost to the pandemic, wiping my nose). I went to this park to heal not to be questioned by those who are ignorant and can be triggering.

What a pleasant discovery 20 minutes south of Atlanta! We got to see so many animals and a great variety of trees/plants. There are several paths, and shortcuts, mostly well marked. The pond offers turtles and geese for observation. We met a young deer that stayed near us for 10 minutes, not intimated. At the end, near the parking there are remainings of a farm built in 1867 and a community garden for educational purposes.

If you’re visiting Atl during season this is a fun, fairly inexpensive thing to do. The energy of these matches is exhilarating! The fan section rocks and go for Fox Bros. BBQ if hungry at the stadium. The view of the skyline through the stadium windows is also amazing. You can beat the heat inside.

This place is awesome. As a Falcons fan, this is a must visit. Incredible stadium, awesome concession prices and values, reasonable prices, good views all around. Rise Up! By the way, the brisket grilled cheese, despite making your heart hurt, is utterly amazing. And only $10!

Nice trails. Beautiful scenery. Bodies of water housed lots of turtles that swam up to the docks to greet us. Visited on a very hot day, but it had to be 10 degrees cooler under the shade of the trees along the paths. Lots of benches to rest and take in the view. Intersecting paths were marked and made navigating easy. Some paths near the end of our walk had educational material posted that was great for the little kids.

Very nice hiking trail. Our dog really enjoyed herself. There are plenty seating areas to rest, which I was pleased with. Unfortunately, it started to rain before we reached the creek. Since we're dealing with Covid-19, I was happy that the trail wasn't too crowded but there is enough room to social distance. I'll be back

We have always found our hikes in W.H. Reynold's Nature Preserve to be so fun, relaxing and engaging! There is such beauty in everything and every season! We encounter the most interesting people, their dogs, and family members. And a lot of times it's just us and that gives us the perfect amount of quiet with deer sightings, owls doing fly-by's, and of course the ever active foraging squirrels! I am just so glad it is so close so I can get there whenever I feel my call to be in nature!

Great trail. Some asphalt. Mostly wood chip mulch and very soft on the feet! Lots of low level grass, plants, cover so the trees could really be seen and admired. And, thus, the path feels very spacious. I also appreciate the large poster identifying poison ivy next to poison ivy at the entry!!! 👍🏽😁👍🏽

  • 5/5 Trillz 2 years ago on Google
The place was great. I'll say the trail is about 1.6 miles long. There's ducks, turtle's, geese, beavers, and fish. Make sure to walk the full trail to actually see everything. There's also a place to seat if it rains or you just to sit and eat. There's also trash cans around the sitting area. There also appears to be this little grass patch so if you want to picnic you can. This patch is directly across the pond from the sitting area. Great for walking, walking dogs, rest area, chilling, biking, maybe fishing if legal. I wouldn't recommend this place for swimming or running because there are so many trees and things in the way. Also the trail line is barely visible so it's safer to take your time and walk it. Overall this place is great for its own reasons. Not the best, but not the worse either. I'll recommend it only for the reasons I mentioned above. Definitely check it out.

The reserver was clean and quite. The staff were friendly and polite. Make sure you pick up your dog mess because if you don't they might ban them from walking the trails and there is a dog park right up the street.
