The full 411 from a 2 yr resident, moved out because of job relocation. Since google only lets you do general stars ill add my two cents a different way Maintenance: (3/5stars)- Maintenance was always taking care of. From ground upkeep, to if you had a problem they would almost immediately come to fix it. I gave 3/5 because the actual upkeep of the apartment complex was horrible. About 2 weeks after we moved in, we noticed water damage to our ceiling in 2 different areas. One in our bedroom and the other in the closet. The bedroom water damage was clearly a roof issue. We decided to ride by the complex from a far to get a look and it is in terrible condition. This was further explained when our bedroom started to leak during heavy rains. Each time we called, maintenance would come and repaint it but never actually go and patch the whole in the roof until after about 7 months later of constant complaining and temporary fixes. Furthermore, we had this same problem with the closet in the study room except it was worse. That closet is a closed dark area used for storage. We barely used it so when we opened it to see that there was just as much worst water damage. The ceiling was black. we didnt know if it was mold or mildew. All we knew was that it was bad. They received a nice email from us and still did nothing. After bout 3 emails with the threat of a law suit, they came and redid the closet, simply by taking out repainting it again. Its a year and a half later, we just looked and the ceiling is back to how it was before. Looking moldy or mildewy and its just smells stuffy in there. Managerial (3/5 stars): 1st lake company could do a lot to revamp their apartments but i'm not sure if they don't care because they are a monopoly or they just actually might not care. The staff is okay. I've never really had a problem until it was time for them to come repair the ceiling but they addressed it so i cant complain. The only other pet peeve I have is on the days rent is due they'll take extra lunch breaks so that your rent will be late forcing you to have a $50 late charge. During initial move-in i did feel bamboozled only because the property manager told us our electricity was included, but it wasn't. Living space 3/5 stars : I mean, it is overpriced and outdated. Carpet floors throughout. small vinyl space in the study. Old cabinets and appliances. Our security system didn't work at all because it was so old. I feel like every apartment has bugs so, cockroaches weren't a BIG deal but they were present at times. I notice East Nola has GREAT apartment living spaces but the actual living area or that side of town is a bad place. If 1st lake could just make some minor upgrades it'd be 10x better. Parking was GREAT on weekends. But by living with working people everyone is out at 8 am and back around 5 pm which is kind of standard so after 6pm parking gets a little crazy. Creeks 5/5 stars- Great living community for couples or small families. Def a temporary place to live until you get on your feet or just need something decent and safe. you can walk around at night no one will bother you. As stated its literally working people, no kids or horseplay. People go to work and go inside. No loud music. The pool is the pool of course. But for the most part SUPER SAFE!! a HUGE BLESSING!

Clean, safe apartment with great landscaping. Quick maintenance. The main reason why I chose this place is that it is very safe. I took two stars off because of the poor insulated paper-thin wall. I could hear my upstairs neighbor even when they make normal-level noise. My upstairs neighbor is relative considerate after I attached a kind note asking them to lower the music volume after 11:30pm. However, starting from two weeks ago, my upstairs neighbor start to make this "oh my god" or "hahaha" or "oh hoo" noises from 11:00pm to 1:30am sometimes to 2:00am. As long as the upstairs guy raises his voice, I could hear it loud and clear. I have to wake up at 5:30am for work. This really affects my sleep and health. If you are sensitive to noise, this is NOT a place for you. The wall is just too thin.

I love living here. The office workers are so nice and when you have a work order they move so quickly. If I ever need anything usually it's fixed the same day. It's quiet, they keep the grounds clean, never any drama. It's really been a blessing. <3

Thus far, after more than one year of residing at Chestnut Creek Apartments, I have not had any bad experiences. The rent is the only reason it does not get five stars, but, then again, who likes paying rent? But you do get "free" DVD rentals and the location is very nice as it is literally across the street/walking distance from my gym, restaurants, dive bars, gas stations, and convenience stores. You can hop on Airheart or go up a block to Airline...so it is pretty convenient for access to all parts of the greater New Orleans area, as well as downtown itself (takes about 15 minutes to get to downtown New Orleans). Bottom line, I do not plan on moving out of Chestnut Creek anytime soon.

I've been living here at Chestnut for about two months now and it is by far the best apartment complex I have ever lived in. I've lived in Metairie, Kenner, and even New Orleans and the courteousness from all the employees and cleanliness of the community here in the Chestnut Creek Apartments are by far the best I've ever seen. For example, I reported having a problem with plumbing one morning and within an hour I had a maintenance person at my door ready to fix the problem. Pets are allowed and you can conveniently pay your rent online at there website. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone.

I've lived in Citrus Creek West for around 18 months before moving to Chestnut Creek. I think we are about at the 2 and a half year mark, so our 3rd Lease in. We will be breaking our last lease 2 months early, and of course the corporate vultures are circling. They can have their one months rent to go away. The parking is terrible, the office staff is always at lunch, They don't tell you that the school pick up is outside your window so during the school year its 10+ kids screaming at the top of their lungs at 8am and 4pm. Have had multiple issues with Wasps getting into the apartment, and no not in the front door, through the chimney and after having maintenance/terminators spray multiple times i literally duck taped a cardboard cover over the chimney entrance and haven't had the problem since. had an issue a year ago so where a branch broke our 3rd story window that was high up took a contractor, which i understand because its not a common window to be replaced by maintenance, almost 2 months to replace. Just got my final paperwork with a 1200$ carpet replacement charge for an apartment we lived in for almost 3 years!!! TL;DR- Save the money live in an apartment that doesnt have "Fancy" stuff the get your own house asap.

Between my husband and I, we have collectively lived in these apartments for 5 years which should attest to our experience. These apartments are reasonably priced for the area, the maintenance staff is fantastic and always respond to our requests promptly. We have been here through changes in management and still feel like the customer service makes the difference.

Overall, my experience living at Chestnut Creek Apts have met and exceeded my expectations. Anytime I had an issue with after hour maintenance or questions about renewal of my lease, the leasing office has always been prompt and helpful. I would recommend this property to those who seek a quiet place to live and is in close proximity to shops, restaurants and gyms with a great leasing staff.

I have only lived at Chestnut Creek for the month and a half, but I already love it! The set up of my 2 bedroom apartment is what led me to make the decision to live here. Immediately upon entering the apartment it felt like home to me. The staff is really friendly. They handle all maintenance request really quickly. The landscaping is beautiful. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone looking to rent an apartment in the RIver Ridge area.

I have been at Chestnut Creek for about 2 months. I chose this property after an extensive search in the area due to its great location, square footage, and beautiful grounds. The one bedroom apt that I am in is approx 900 sq ft and has TONS of storage. The grounds are beautiful and always being kept up and/or updated. I have had a couple of issues that I needed maintenance to attend to and each time, I received same day service. I have not used the pool yet, but it is a great perk and seems to be popular amongst the neighbors. The location that I am in is extremely quiet. I rarely hear neighbors. The manager, Sherry, and Assistant Manager, LaShawn, are great to work with and get to know their tenants by their first names due to the small size of this particular community. I work at Ochsner and can get to work in 10 minutes by jumping right onto the nearby Earhart Expressway. I also get a discount as an Ochsner employee. I love that the tenants are constantly walking/running around the community for exercise. It has actually inspired me to do the same. Also, the driveway closest to Chestnut Creek closes at 7pm each night and forces anyone entering or leaving after that time to pass by a guard shack as an extra crime deterrent. I feel very safe here. I have had a very positive experience since moving here..... Can't say enough positive things about it. Highly recommended.
