My wife and I went there today and we had never been there before. We will never go back. I have to say our whole visit may have lasted 10 minutes. I couldn't leave fast enough. The food here is disgusting with little to no flavor. It's no where near up to par with south Louisiana food. It's not a good atmosphere..it's not any kind of atmosphere. I felt like I was in the twilight zone in the place. I would definitely never eat here again. There were 3 people walking out when we left and I asked them how they felt about eating there. They didn't even eat. They said they walked-in an saw the food an left lol. Should tell you everything you need to know. Biggest waste of $32.00 ever. My pictures show what they call a rum sauce and their "bread pudding" that's nothing like a pudding. They can't even make chocolate pudding taste good. How do you mess up chocolate pudding?

Awesome southern style buffet. The bronze fish, the BBQ chicken, the corn bread, the beets. This is one of those places you tell your family about and I'm from Texas. This place will become a favorite no matter who or what your taste is. Give them a shot and you'll be posting a new love too.

Fantastic Chicken! Excellent carrots soufflé . Great place to eat a fast home-cooked meal. Can you pay immediately upon entering for your food and drinks and then the rest is up to you. I started off with a salad and some chicken and sausage gumbo. I follow that up with a huge piece of fried chicken. That was a little spicy and super delicious. Another team member had the carrot soufflé and they said it was the best I’ve ever had. Servers were very friendly and removed dishes as soon as you were done and ready for the next course.

5 of us stopped in for dinner. The other four ate here, two was a fan the other two was willing to give it another try. I have to admit I sampled a good portion of the Friday night selections. First time I ever had a sweet shrimp creole. BBQ shrimp and shrimp and grits had a strong iodine flavor witch comes from shrimp. The fried shrimp did not have that taste but I think they are imports. The best thing I had was a green salad and bread pudding. Will I be back, probably not! Service was excellent from friendly staff.

Price is excellent to experience creole Cajun NOLA cooking. Gumbo, etouffee, red beans and rice, Cajun fish and fried chic, and other dishes to enjoy. Love the spinach and artichoke dip. Humble food. The flavor is reasonable. The server is very friendly and sweet..educating us on the cuisine and NOLA. Will recommend to those who wants to experience the cuisine and not snobby about it.

The food was great. The food was fresh, and not too spicy, or too salty. And they had carrot souffle on the buffet bar! We were looking for a buffet that had something other that seafood. I just wish the dining area was bigger and I wish the dining tables were a little bigger. But that will not stop me from eating here again.

There is a lot of parking around the restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly hostess. You can sit at any empty table. Our waitress promptly filled our drinks. She was very friendly. Each day of the week they have different options on the buffet. The buffet area was kept clean and the food was hot. I had to let it cool a tad before enjoying it. The baked fish was so delicious. The bread pudding with the hot caramel sauce made the perfect dessert! Great place to have lunch. Around $15. This includes drink and tax!!

This place was recommended while visiting New Orleans for a conference. I enjoyed the buffet! The food was really good! Especially that Honey Cornbread and Sweet Potato Souffle!!! I would definitely go back and eat!

This is a treasure of a buffet restaurant that serves an authentic taste of Louisiana from a nondescript building in the parking lot of a nondescript strip mall. You honestly can't beat the price and the menu changes daily. Whenever we visit the area, we always stop in for lunch or dinner. It isn't haute, but it sure is satisfying.

I have no idea what the bad reviews are talking about. Sure it’s not a super fancy restaurant but this is one of the best meals I’ve had in the south so far. I travel for work so I stumbled across this place since I’ve never been to New Orleans. Everything taste amazing and is super fresh. Whatever they are doing now, is working because the food was so delicious. From start to finish, all the dishes are homemade. The bread pudding at the end is phenomenal

Where do I begin?! This buffet had some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life. No joke. The fried catfish is just out of this world. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious.

Absolutely fantastic! Tried almost everything on the buffet and not one thing wasn't absolutely delicious. Took a coworker here for lunch today and the immediate response was "Well, I think I know where were having lunch tomorrow!" For 12.34 you can not get a better lunch. I'm amazed there isn't a line out the door here. This is also some of the best bread pudding ever, with an awesome rum sauce and yes, you can taste the rum in it. Delicious! 👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Everything tasted like it was from Can no seasoning cold and dry, I was looking for authentic Louisiana cooking this is not it . I had to use my sauce from my Chinese food from my previous day to give it seasoning. best luck to everyone else

This place is amazing. I long for it every time I travel through NO and have to go, even out of my way, to eat it. The bread pudding is AMAZING, especially that brandy sauce they make, it's got a whole bottle of VSOP in it, I watched them make it. And the chicken, and shrimp, and cornbread, and greens... don't pass this up, go out of your way.

I eat lunch at Louisiana Purchase Kitchen, with friends. Food is served buffet style. Lots of good, home cooked food. Easy on the Wallet. Those folks are so sweet. They remember their repeat customers and greet us knowingly. If they don't remember our names, they remember our faces.

This is an excellent little “southern style” buffet not far off I-10 interstate on Veterans. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The dining area is small, but fortunately there wasn’t a crowd when we visited. There was a variety of foods to choose from including fish, chicken, and southern sides. Very affordable and highly recommend.

I absolutely love this place! I’ve been coming here for about 6 years and the reason I keep coming back is the good prices, the staff, and the convenience. I always get takeout for my food because I’m normally on lunch break. Purchase Kitchen is a buffet with daily menus. My favorite is Monday red beans and fried chicken and Thursday seafood pasta. You can also ask for takeout and have your food weighed in the back and they will checkout at the front register. Dine in is also available for those who want to dine. I work next door so coming here is super convenient for me, I am normally in and out. My only recommendation is adding new items to the menu to keep things fresh.

Horrible food with no flavor not cooked all the way. Never go to this place. The guest service is just as bad. Charged us 100$ for my family to eat and none of us ate! Never again

Very nice restaurant, everyone was so nice and great selection to choose from. But, the food was pretty bland and just ok. White beans, corn bread and fried chick was very good. Everything else, not so much. But, definitely try for yourself

My daughter and I have recently moved back to Louisiana and it was nice to have a brunch buffet with a little bit of everything! The meal was delicious but I only gave the food four stars because the banana pudding, which is my favorite dessert ever, was the absolute worst thing I've ever tasted. I don't know if it is because I was taught to never use fake banana flavor and their pudding didn't have any bananas and just a few vanilla wafers on the top. It took the rest of the day to get over the nausea and get the taste of the pudding to fade away. I will go back but I'm not going to eat the banana pudding again.
