This is one of my favorite places to go! Whether it is for a quick one loop run, a beautiful evening walk with my spouse, or to keep myself calm and happy😊

Awesome park!! I'm so glad our vet recommended this park! Trails, Ponds, Dog Park, Wildlife, Playground, Restrooms, Picnic tables and grills, Concession Stand, Soccer Fields, a Carousel, and Disc Golf! I'm probably forgetting some stuff, but as you can see, there's plenty here to enjoy! Highly recommend!

Very large park with a very long walking/running trail. I went around 1pm on a Tuesday and there was hardly anyone there. Theres tons of parking. I counted at least 10 or so soccer fields. There are tons of wildlife. You'll see ponds and water fountains with some art sculptures too.

I absolutely love this place! The different species of birds are out of this world. I even saw a couple of black swans. The scenery is something like out of a painting. Very well kept up part. I even like it better than New Orleans City Park.

Absolutely beautiful park. So many birds and turtles . The bird sanctuary has a nice boardwalk with observation decks. There is a disc golf course, soccer fields and much more. This place is a gem

Very much recommended this park. There is a bird observation sight, wide paths for walking or running, and even raccoon. They have their own island, so they will not bother you, lol😁. Great for family and kids 👏

Well kept park! Very spacious park with lots of things to do. So much fun! No litter laying around. A lot of different types of ducks here & pigeons & grackles. Not many birds in 10/23.

Visited this park from out of town and was very delighted by it. The walking trail encompasses the circumference of the park and along my walk, I noticed every couple of stops there were a pets bowl with fresh water and snacks for dogs going on their walk with their owners, I saw a few wild roosters and various members of the waterfowl families just in their daily routine. There were also picnic pavilions and clean restrooms. Was a very pleasant, though hot and humid walk. Top notch, 5 stars!

Great exercise loop. We love walking and jogging the 2 mile loop around the outside of Lafreniere Park. There are exercise pads at two different spots that help wake up the walk and give you some alternative exercises. Bathrooms are usually relatively clean. We also enjoy the various animals that are at the side of the trail: geese: ducks: cats: chickens: rabbits Normally there is ample parking unless there is a huge soccer event or something like that going on It’s like having a free gym down the street from your house.

Best park in New Orleans! Love coming here for walks. There’s an extraordinary amount of birds and other fun to watch wildlife (nutria!) And they always have fun events happening! Enjoyed the Uncle Sam Jam and the weekly Farmer’s Markets! Love to visit at Christmas time with all their fun decorations too!

We had a great time looking at the Christmas lights they were many it was only $5 to get in. There were two concession stands to get hot chocolate popcorn and many other treats. There was a box to write letters to Santa as well as a craft area to make your own ornaments. You can drive around and look at the lights as well as Park and walk around and see even more lights. There are many photo opportunities there to take pictures the area is safe and I recommend everyone go there.

Beautiful park with everything imaginable! Loved seeing all of the diverse options and things to do. The place we had our party was clean and nice. Bathrooms were decent as well. Very happy with overall visit and will be back!

A wonderful park for sports, walking, sitting with family members, and enjoying its stunning views, decorated with a duck lake and football fields. It really is an excellent place.

Hidden beauty in an urban area. Mostly I never explored this park, always I used to just visit only a particular part of the park. This park has a bird sanctuary. There is a children water area, it's a delight for the children in summer.

Great walking trail, with decent restrooms. Very upkept park. Wish the disc golf course had better signage, but awesome wildlife and beautiful little escape! I love that the playground is covered with a tent like thing because park equipment gets hot in the summer. I will say they are very proud of their small splash pad for kids… $5 a head and that’s only for 90 minutes of play…

This park has a great walking trail and dog park. I love bringing my dog, Finn. As soon as I start getting things ready to go, he gets very excited because he knows where we are going. He loves the park and seeing all the other dogs, ducks, geese, seagulls, and egrets too.

We just saw the Christmas Decorations at the park. Absolutely fantastic job. A Must see for all ages.

We had a blast at the 3rd of July Festival 2022!! It wasn't overly packed. The shuttle service was spot on!! There were plenty of bathrooms, food vendors, and live music!! We will for sure be back next year!!

Three of us visited the park on 16 June 2021. We knew it had a 2-mile trail to walk on and I knew it had a bird park as well. We were lucky in that there was a little flee market going on that day. One of the girls with me brought something for her granddaughter. The park was a very nice place and we felt safe. We walked the park, saw the different birds and took some pictures by/of the artwork. This was a very pleasant way to end our day. If back in the area, I would visit it again.

The most relaxing and enjoyable place to spend a day near New Orleans. It's a very large park to walk with stretch stations available. There is a great variety of birds and ducks to see. You can also view rabbits, with cats and chickens... all living harmoniously throughout the park.

Great place to exercise or just relax with family and friends

Nice and quiet, I go here often to get away from the house or do some work on my phone. The only issue is that it would be nice if they had some bathrooms and vending machines. Even when I bring the kids to feed the ducks, if we forget to get drinks or someone needs to use the bathroom we have to leave.

Probably one of the best parks in Metairie! It's in a safe area. It's next to restaurants and a gas station so if you need to grab a quick bite or fill up, you're never too far. It's very clean and very peaceful. It's very easy to walk around and take in the sights and sounds. Not to mention the year round events such as "Que Pasa Fest". There's also areas to play soccer. This park is perfect for taking families or going on dates with your boyfriend/girlfriend. The only real negative I would say is that in certain areas, there's a lot of duck poo on the ground but I believe it's regularly cleaned so that shouldn't be a problem!

Love the park! So much to see and do! Has a dog park for my Siberian Husky. Has exercise equipment free to use. The scenery is awesome. I love to feed the ducks! It's a great place to bring the family or just chill by oneself!

Is located in Metairie LA, Beautiful Park. Take a relaxing walking with your 💕 ones and friends. You can make a bbq here also, they have several covers places with bbq grills sits electricity and more. Nice place celebrating any event. Open till 10pm.

This is a great park. They have soccer fields, an awesome farmer market on Wednesdays and an original carousel. Highly recommend.

This is no longer a safe park for me. I went walking yesterday around 3:30pm and someone smashed two of my windows and took my purse. I wasn’t even there 40 minutes😢 the park closed for 6pm and I waited until 5:15 for someone to come dust my car for fingerprints. I reported the incident at 4:15pm. According to the police they did not have security because they do not need it for the winter holidays and there’s no cameras by the bathroom 😢 I’m now out of my last $53.00 and all of my important information that was in my purse. What a way for me to spend my new year eve at a park that I loved soo much. What a way to spend my New Year’s Eve. I’m now left with the cost to replace two of my windows and now these ppl have my drivers license with my address. On top of that I told the police when I walked up to my car someone rushed out of the bathroom on with a hoodie on and a backpack that looked ashamed and sat on the bench watching everything unfold from a far and the police did absolutely nothing!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PARK. IT’S JUST LIKE THE CITY!! UNSAFE!! BY THE WAY, THIS WAS DONE TO TWO CARS INCLUDING MINES BY THE BATHROOM ON DOWNS SIDE

Beautiful park with lots of activities to enjoy. On Wednesdays they have Farmer's Art Market year round and in December, they have the holiday market on Saturdays. They have seasonal activities and events as well. There's a carousel, a playground for the kids, walking paths, meditation garden, nature trail and a dog park. It's a great neighborhood park filled with soccer fields and more.
