I feel incredibly privileged to have had the opportunity to stay at this special Guesthouse. It really feels like home as soon as you walk through the door into the courtyard. I had the bed under the stairs in the main house and loved it ! Incredibly peaceful and safe. And a special thank you to Ayisha ! She is the only female guide in Harar and we had an absolutely amazing time together. She was welcoming and made us feel like family from the minute we met. The sweetest guide we could have possibly had and she was full of stories and information that was fascinating.

I really enjoyed my stay at this guesthouse. The location is very convenient, since you are in the heart of the old city. Everything was very comfortable. I stayed in the upstairs bedroom. There were two queen size beds, but I had to share a bathroom with two other rooms. One bedroom had its own bathroom. Everyday, there was a simple and delicious breakfast. Miss that local honey! I contacted them through the WhatsApp, but it took me some time to find the number. +251 95 274 7434.

Perfect place to stay in Harar, you’re in the middle of the old town and the house is really beautiful - very nice courtyard, pretty living room and comfortable bedrooms. The manager Imaj is great, super kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

A wonderful place in the old town of Harar. A traditional Adare house. A really welcoming host and a good breakfast. Only an advice: DO NOT HIRE THEIR GUIDE. The one they suggested us was totally unprofessional. He pretend to bring us to Babile Elephant Sanctury by bajaj in early morning. We woke up at 4:30 a.m. but he did not presented till 5:30 a.m. At the end we got stucked in the mud of the park and we did not see any elephant. He also refuse to partially refund us, a real thief. Anyway it did not affected the wonderful time we spent in the magnific town of Harar!

The old lady is very helpful. We are grateful for her support. The house is full of history and while some things aren’t the best (like shower strength) this is really a great option in Harar compared with hotels and other guesthouses. I don’t know if there is way to book direct.

The house is typical, well located. The rooms are clean. But the shared bathroom is dirty, there is very little water coming out from the taps and showers. You'll only enjoy the breakfast if you like super oily pancakes with honey. And the landlady is incredibly grumpy and moody.

Wonderful place. The people that took care of us were very friendly, welcoming, understanding and relaxed. They prepared good food for us and all of the facilities (toilets, showers) were working. The way the house is built makes it a very rich experience.
