Serene tea garden with plenty of shaded tables. A few black chickens roam the garden freely. Walk in and sit yourself. Service can be a bit slow at first l think due to the you sit yourself policy. However service is quite friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and delicious. Hot and cold Drinks ranged from $2-6. On average for a meal, $10 to 18 will suffice.

I had an amazing experience with my girlfriend Thoko - the environment is scenic, the staff is friendly, the owner is warm and welcoming - the quality of food is top tier! Probably one of the best places to have a meal in Zimbabwe. The experience was awesome.

This gem was absolutely amazing. So good in fact, that we visited twice in our week in Harare. The food, the service, the gardens and the atmosphere was unreal. Zimbabweans are second to none when it comes to flavours and we certainly learned a few things from visiting here. This is a definite “must visit” place if you’re in Harare. Also has a wonderful gift shop on site which was a lovely extra treat. Thank you for the fabulous experience!

Initially we didn't really get any service but after we finally got a table everything else went smoothly. Our server was kind and the food was good but a little pricier than other cafes. Lemonade was a bit sweet for my taste and I couldn't really taste a lot of the bacon or avo in the wrap. However, the vibe is worth it 😁 It's a nice quiet place. Get a table in the garden🤗🤗 I will definitely be back.

Absolutely beautiful place. Old cars, rabbits, chickens and huge flower gardens. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Outstanding food as well, definitely recommend the Waffles! Not super cheap but also not over the top, about average. A great place to stop for a meal, definitely recommend!

Such a beautiful and pretty restaurant - nature's paradise. The gardens are simply immaculate. Everything about the place is breathtaking. The food was also really great and so was the service. Excellent, nothing to complain about! I would definitely come again and would recommend to everyone!

This is a great place for breakfast with good options and especially with the kids as the play area is great with a trampoline, Wendy house and rabbit pen. The food is really fresh (from their garden) and I love the paper straws. Not sure of the options for lunch as these seem limited.

A very tranquil environment. The food is cooked fresh so I don't mind the waiting! The owner paid a courtesy call to check out the food! Lovely garden, a homey feeling. Always a pleasure to dine out here.

Peaceful spot for a coffee, breakfast or light lunch. We sat in the garden which was so pleasant. The service was excellent and the spinach & feta muffin is a must-try.

Beautiful environment, surrounded by nature, however the food is a bit overpriced. Thoroughly enjoyed their carrot cake, I'll most certainly be going back for more. Lots of privacy and really quiet just how I like it.

My! My! What a place. The ambiance on its own is the best appetizer. The seating area is well spread out and surrounded by trees and green grass, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The food is out of this world. The portions are generous. The prices are very affordable. It's also family friendly. It's a great place even to come in a group. This is the place to enjoy a good meal, great ambiance and welcoming friendly staff.

I've always loved this place, and it's good to see that despite everything the quality is still going strong. A beautiful garden with a sprinkle of random chickens, you can always trust to have a fresh and wholesome meal here. Sadly, there are some menus that have been taken out but a good chunk remains the same. I recommend the Mediterranean quiche.

My first time to visit Bottom Drawer, lovely place with a spot in the sun. Food was delicious but the service could certainly be upped a notch as the items we asked for never arrived so I had to go to the kitchen myself. It was busy, so ladies serving should have a note pad to remind them of requests & orders. Hope this helps.

Always the best coffee served hot and with a smile. We forgot to pay our previous boll and on returning here just before Christmas I advised the owner and she was adamant that it was fine as they had no records and it was on the house. I insisted to pay because I knew what I ordered and they still proceeded to give is a discount. Highly recommended for light meals, coffees and savoury treats.

Always good food, popular place in beautiful surroundings. Service is always with a smile although seems to be slower than usual. Love that they change the gardens every season, so it seems. Great place to get a special gift, wonderful to see that they now offer prepared meals to purchase. I personally would like to see something new of the Menu and not just on the specials board. But, if it works, then why change it.

So i was recommended by my sister to try out their menu since we are foodies. I got here with my guest from England who wanted to try out new places, I got there exchanged greetings with the lady who was coming from clearing this table and we washed our hands , that's all that happened there, I could see patrons enjoying the outdoors and I was just standing here, the tables looked full and there was no sign of someone to assist me to the right direction, I walked towards the entrance of this building where the lady with the plates went I peeped and I saw a staff informative sign, then I waited a bit longer then I left. I really wanted to try their pie though. I was expecting better reception at least

Beautiful restaurant, loved having the birdies walking around however there were 3 tables when we arrived for breakfast but we waited a bit for our coffees, then our meals took 30+ minutes (an omelette and the mini English breakfast). There was a fly cooked into the fried tomato Our waiter was nice enough but could have been a bit more apologetic about the above. The three stars is mostly for the venue itself - it is BEAUTIFUL!

Bottom Drawer is great for a casual catch-up with friends. It's set in a lovely and very peaceful garden,( and they always have beautiful flower arrangements,) making it really good (highly recommend the quiche and salads) for relaxed brunch or lazy lunches. On Saturdays, there's the Maasdorp Market next door, which you can wander about and pick up some homegrown produce and products before settling down for some great coffee. The food is always really well prepared, although prices tend to be a bit on the higher end of the scale. Do not go here if you are in a hurry because the service can be pretty slow and frustrating. They could definitely improve on efficiency. Kids can also play in the garden on the swing sets which is quite nice for a family. One weird aspect for me is that their waitresses are dressed in maid uniforms, which gives off a bit of a very awkward vibe. They could just wear the black and white uniforms, but maybe there's a reason

First went there and it was freezing cold. Its not designed for the chilly days. Heaters were there but for a certain section. Went back on a sunnier day, and it was cool. Waitress that Served me could use a smile. Food was nice. Had a caeser salad and my mate had butternut soup. Fair portions and relatively busy

The relaxed ambience of this restaurant is topnotch! I always leave here feeling refreshed! Their pot pies are to die for! My fav is the chicken and mushroom fillings - it’s made with tender pieces of chicken and button mushrooms abd covered with a flaky, buttery crust - freshly baked to golden perfection! And it comes with a crunchy garden salad! Pair this up with a pot of their ginger-lemon and honey tea and you’ll spend the whole day there! 🤣 It’s a pity I didn’t take any photos but will be back to update this review with some. I highly recommend this place. Easy on the pocket too

Its beautiful garden setup with very friendly staff, always ready to welcome you and make you feel at home. From the security guys, always very helpful. Emma of the waitress is quite good and helpful even in food selection. I love it and I have recommended many of my friends. The most outstanding thing is the accessibility factor. It is very accessible for the elderly and disabled persons.

What isn't to like about Bottom Drawer??? I discovered and have enjoyed being a customer there for over 12 years. By myself or in a group or just meeting up with one or two friends- same warm welcome, service and lovely food. Knowing where l prefer to sit, my favourite drinks and snacks, allowing me some downtime to catchup on work or read a book or engage in conversation. What more can one ask for? In good times and bad- they go beyond just serving. They treat you like a valued friend after a few visits as a valued customer. It's a lovely place to go and wind down, recharge or entertain. Go and find out for yourself!
