You veer off the Harare-Norton motorway 🛣 following the directions the locals will give you. The place is part of ZimParks bailiwick. The lake is great for fishing dotted with lodges and camps. Worth visiting, Bhello Pamvura is ideal for groups, corporate or families, couples or loners wanting peace and quiet and distance from the hustle and bustle of Harare. There are nice rooms ideal for a wedding 💒 party or just a BBQ. There are monkeys 🐒 about who are to be respected as permanent residents. Don't leave your car windows open to avoid their mischievous curiosity. A small fee is payable at the gate. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice natural reserve, less than 30 minutes driving Harare. A lot wildlife to admire and the view of the make is simply stunning. Strongly recommend...

Lots of potential. A lot of activities available. Scenic views. Sadly the potential that exists is not met with good management. Would love a more serious approach to managing the site and this would easily be a Harare staple. Worth a visit on a quiet day or early before the crowds decend.

The breathe of fresh air from the Lake it's just amazing. Fresh real air not the contaminated air in these over populated cities and towns. Go and experience it.

Their Game park lodges could use a lot of renovation. The bathrooms wr not very pleasant. Landscaping is also a huge requirement for their water front.

Nice area for picnic. The water flow is silted and not well maintained. With proper maintenance, the area is nice for picnic during warm weather.

Lake Chivero Dam is amazing, it’s such an exciting place to be . One of the hidden sites of Zimbabwe. The spillway is amazing

Beautiful park, deserves more stars but the road to get there was very difficult to drive and there was more trash in nature than was possible to pick up. So sad. Always a great outing though!

Nice spot for game viewing close to Harare right on the edge of lake chivero. Access from Bulawayo road is to take the spillway turn off then turn right at the junction. I self drove around the park and saw some giraffe and rhino and a few antelopes, you can also fish in the lake, Entrance was about $3USD pp. no need for an off-roader, any car with decent clearance will do just fine!

It is a great place to take children between the ages of 18 months and 6 or 7 years of age. There are two separate play 'zones' or areas: A baby play area and I would say more of an older kid, toddler play area. You must remember to bring socks for yourself and your children, as bare feet have to be covered in the play areas. Refreshments and food are available to buy there. I would not recommend going if it is very busy with older children and your child is still small. The bigger kids' play area can get quite boisterous, and if your child is only 3, it can become too overwhelming. Even the smaller kids' play area may become too busy and overwhelming, so I would suggest researching or contacting Tamba Tamba to find out when their off-peak days and times are in order to make the most out of your visit.

A beautiful, colourful, safe and clean environment for kids, my children had a blast!!! However the food and drinks menu was a bit disappointing and over priced. Team Tamba Tamba kindly consider the parents, a better menu could keep us occupied as we wait for our little ones. Otherwise kudos to the child minders.

Great place and quiet natural energy (except during holiday periods). Water is enjoyable and nature is a pleasant to be in. Can be quite noisy. A lot of work needs to be done around sensitise patrons and residence on cleanliness as both an environmental and tourism issue. Otherwise, well worth a visit. Can recommend Kuimaba Shiri as a good place to stay. Hunyani Hills Hotel is good, but also needs work.

A good day trip. The rest camp is fairly run down, but the lodges are still fairly well maintained, and is hard to beat price and convenience for a trip to the bush.

A beautiful caravan camping area situated by Lake Chivero. It is stunning, calm and the perfect peaceful getaway. It feels like a childhood dream. I believe you can rent out rooms and caravans for a couple of days.

It was a good chill out spot. There's a play area for kids and plenty of space for your barbecue. Only advice for holidays is to get there early, otherwise you will wait in a long queue if you're driving.

It's an amazing place to go with your family.. We had a lot of fun. There is a beautiful view of the lake. They have got a swimming pool and you can also go for boat cruising. It's a good place to go if you want to refresh your mind 😊
