First timer so I have nothing to reference in the form of past experiences. Most people have fond childhood memories of school trips to this place, so going there for the first time as an adult must be contextualised. The booking process was over that phone which was convenient. I signed up for the horse safari even though I've never been on a horse before! The place was easy to find using Google Maps and so was the payment procedure. With 30mins to kill, we decided to checkout the rest of this place. Walkways were clearly demarcated, signs were well-positioned and grounds are in great shape. A few animals in enclosures including crocodiles, duiker & some game. There's a nice viewing deck of the game enclosure but it's at least 2 stories above the animals. The horse safari was conducted by vaMaHorse which loosely translated means Mr Horse. The helmets were really dirty. We saw zebra, impala, eland, giraffes whilst riding through the game enclosure. All in all a good day out and didn't have to leave the city to enjoy the game and horses

Enjoyed the day out with kids going on a bike ride on their trails. Followed the markings along the trail. Saw some steenbok along our bike ride. Clean. Serene. Peaceful

A wide variety of animals to see. My personal favourites were the zebras. Absolutely love the atmosphere, would love so see a change at the cafe, a variety of food is a must.

Good spots to just sit and watch the birds and animals around the watering hole. Or if you'd like to get in some walking, nice trail through the Woodlands where you can spot a lot of animals grazing.

Huge expanse of lovely, green woodland. Loads of stunning animals at gaze at. Very expensive if you are just going there for a quick outing, $4 for children and $5 for adults. Food also very expensive. But if you are going there for the whole day and doing the activities then it is of great value. Beautiful area and a great viewing platform where you can see a huge variety of animals. We saw eland, zebra, impala, giraffe and wildebeest in about 10 minutes! Endless nature walks and dogs are welcome! Beautiful little river at the end of the red trail. Definitely recommend!

Lovely place but it’s a shame it’s a little run down and lacking in what they’re able to offer. Not much has changed since my last visit in 2010. This place has so much potential but I know everything costs money. Maybe a good idea to develop the restaurant menu to something a little more upmarket and modern. This might attract a different clientele as well as much needed funds for developments. Thanks for the experience all the same.

One of my favourites. Always love my time out here. Updated Sept 2023 - was a little disappointed. Went to get the kids milkshakes and there was non to be served although on the menu. The steak, egg and chips was good tho and price fair. The kids had brownies and they were very nice

Lovely nature walk with animals. Park was clean and not crowded at all. Trails were well-marked, so we could walk them by ourselves at leisure. It was great to see some of the resident animals such as zebras, girafes and antelope at feeding time from the observation deck.

Worth a visit just to get away from the hustle and bustle of Harare traffic. A few mins walk and you get total silence. Water seemed scarce during my visit and noticed quite a few watering holes for the animals were empty.

Lovely animal sanctuary situated at the heart of the city of harare. Uniquely and conveniently placed to help those eager to see wildlife yet not needing to press the wallet in going out to the game parks around the country. The place has various animals ,from the zebra to giraffes, wilder beasts, impalas etc. There are many activities including horse riding whilst viewing the animals.

Right in the heart of Harare, this amazing woodland experience complete with animals is the perfect get away for a bush experience. We walked and saw the full beautiful spring colours of the msasa trees coming into leaf with giraffe loping along the tree line. Amazing.

A little wild oasis in the middle of the city. Different walking options 3, 5, 8, or 10km through miombo woodlands among zebra and giraffe. Viewing platform over the watering hole and nice braai areas. There is a little shop and occasionally a market.

Mukuvisi is a nice break from the chaos of Harare. However, it is a little rundown and it is a pricey for what you get. Admissions is US$5 for adults and $4 for children. I feel this place could generate more revenue if it lowered the admission fees so more people would come and offered better services like a nice restaurant or cafe, bouncy castle, a better playground, a petting zoo, nicer braai areas and so on. These are just some ideas but you definitely need more than just the animals to attract people.

I have been to Mukuvisi several times but l would like to give a review of my recent outing there. We went for a 5km walk, l feel the markings along the trail could be improved. We enjoyed the scenery, l need to come back during the rainy season when its green.

So idyllic, rooms and accommodation were absolutely fantastic and very spacious. Most staff couldn't do enough if they tried, so thank you. All very clean too. It was almost perfect but The food was pretty bad unfortunately due to there not being any choice I.e. whatever was served for dinner is what you were given, no other option. Food was usually served warm instead of hot and the food and verge manager was pretty useless and not forthcoming unfortunately. Our tour guide Tor was fantastic too and thank you to him for his time. All the best

Its beautiful, lovely scenery and nature walk activities. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Their explanations are very detailed and their knowledge base is quite extensive, for those looking to find out more about the wildlife. It would have however been even nicer if there was a more diverse collection of animals available for visitors to see. I had a great experience regardless.

A serene, well kept place, a woodland in the middle of the city, with flora and animals. A good breakaway place with a restaurant that serves delicious food and runs a very good market at the last Sunday of every month. Awesome pampering services from Skinadore, massages, pedicures, manicures, facials. It's the place to visit and wind off and rejuvenate.

Not very enjoyable did not see any animals, no safari car rides you have to walk either 3km, 5km, 8km or 10km and hope you bumble into some animals along the way. You can cycle but just a tiring experience overall. Last visited 2006 and came back 2023 definitely not coming again.
