A quiet park in town. It's normal to see people sleeping under the trees just taking a break. The trees are quite big. There's always some vendor passing, especially with freeze its, maheu or Zim ice cream. The park is actually a very nice place that only needs care and I would give it 5 stars.

Beautiful nature, but very poor maintenance: old broken benches, lots of trash on the ground like everywhere in Harare sadly. But trees and plants are just so breathtaking! I wish prosperity to this place cause it’s really worth it πŸ™πŸ»

Entry here is free. Some sections look run down but the trees, flowers and grass are really exciting to see. There is enough shade and an equally large number of people whiling away their time but nothing noisy or disturbing. You can sink in your own world and just enjoy your time greatly. In addition there is theater in the park which you can enjoy as an arts lover. Make sure to visit the small waterfall which is in one corner of the park. The park is also great for photography.

Good place to sit and relax. The down side has too much defecation which bring about a bad smell. I think it's the work of street kids.

Very good garden right in the downtown Harare, quite big and with good collection of trees and flowers all over of the Africa. However, the place is deteriorating due to lack of maintenance it's now a shadow of its former glory. The Victoria falls replica is no longer flowing. There is no more fish in the fish pond (which is a bit disappointing as I used to visit this place as a youngster I expected the same feeling I used to) have back then but it's no longer the same big maintenance is needed to bring this place to it's former glory and/or al least to the proper conditions.

It used to be a lovely park back in the days when the council could afford to look after its welfare. But due to economical hardships in Zimbabwe, it has been left unattended.

A decent place but after years of neglect there is litter everywhere and long grass in places. Wouldn't suggest it for an outing. Run down like most parks in the city

There is room for a whole lot of improvement.. It could be the best park to be at in all the city but poor maintenance...They are trying to keep it alive yeah but they should try harder for it to recover...

For a casual park to rest and have a relaxed chat with a friend after a busy day, this place is good. There are no entertainment games inside but it can surely do

  • 3/5 Emmah Machokoto S. 4 years ago on Google
Lots of space for kids to run around while you catch up with friends. The standards have gone down though and some of the stuff in the play area have broken down and never repaired which makes it a bit dangerous for kids to play on. The bathrooms were not very clean and there was no water which made things worse! Although Harare is generally safe, security is not to be taken lightly There is no visible security personnel around the park so I guess one goes there at own risk

If you don't mind being followed around and asking constantly for money then it's okay. It's a shame the Zimbabwean situation has gotten to this state. Wouldn't advise couples to go there.

The place is great for some air. People roaming around, litter here and there, the underprivileged asking for help, content creators doing their thing, revision groups revising and other stuff, such a multi purpose site😊

Quiet and serene. Clean also. You can find a nice spot to sit and rest. Though it's in the CBD ,you won't even feel the hustle and bustle of the City. It's a good get away form the noise of the Capital City.

  • 3/5 Eric T. 2 years ago on Google
It's a quiet place. I think more can be done in improving the Garden. More benches could be provided. More also could be done pertaining the neatness of the garden.

  • 3/5 Tembinkosi β€œCupidizzle” J. 1 year ago on Google
Still the same old lovers paradise...lol. The garden is somehow well maintained even though a lot has visibly changed compared to the old days. Park benches require some TLC hence the need to take a picnic mate with you when visiting. Avoid direct contact with tree trunks as most male folks urinate on them. Street kids still frequent this Park. Visit at your own risk as there is zero security.

  • 3/5 Mashu B. 1 year ago on Google
A beautiful place but lacks maintenance in some areas. No water in the fish ponds. Then there is a burst pipe at one of the entrances

  • 2/5 Kundai G. 2 years ago on Google
So much potential right here. If someone would just take the time to clean it up and polish it up a bit. It could be a great space to relax, play, chill and even hold simple events. Anyway, #registertovote2023.

A public open space which provides recreation facility for Harare's residents of all ages. It has taken care of lawns , shrubs and walk paths that connects Leopold Takawira Street, Park Lane, Julius Nyerere Way and Herbert Chitepo Avenue. Provide a scenic view to residents of the famous Monomotapa Hotel.

  • 4/5 Lily M. 1 year ago on Google
Refreshing natural beauty within the city. A place to relax if you choose nice spots because some areas may be a bit busy due to passers-by

  • 1/5 Kudakwashe G. 1 year ago on Google
Well this place used to be nice I still remember visiting as a kid but now not so much..I mean it is still nice but sadly it had become a habitat for thieves and muggers so the next time you walk by make sure your valuables aren't exposed.

  • 2/5 webster shine realit m. 1 year ago on Google
Issue of hygiene is taken lightly in this garden. I think the city of Harare must make the available toilets functional

  • 3/5 Tineyi C. 1 year ago on Google
The park has 'good bones' as they say. Excellent location, enough space as to almost never be too crowded, a couple of good venues and historical significance to the city. Unfortunately, potential is not enough to make it great. It requires maintenance on such a scale it would be better to just call it refurbishing. Pillars are crumbling, benches need replacing, lighting is lacking, metal fixtures continue to rust away, the bathrooms need help, accessibility needs to be looked at and so much more. Other issues are more to do with people in the park making a mess, but that's something out of the parks control. Still a nice enough spot to take a break in or to bring the family out to.

  • 5/5 Tinashe K. 1 year ago on Google
The place was very quiet , everyone was doing his or her business making it beautiful place to have any type of discussion be it School or Work . The other thing is the environment was so clean . I really enjoyed the visit .

  • 3/5 Lincorn K. 1 year ago on Google

Harare Gardens is a public park in the city centre of Harare. It is a popular place for leisure and recreation, especially for people who work nearby. The gardens have some attractive features, such as a pond, a playground, a restaurant, and a stage for performances. The gardens also host the Harare International Festival of Arts every year, which draws many visitors and artists. However, the gardens also have some drawbacks, such as poor maintenance, littering, vandalism, and security issues. Some parts of the gardens are dry and dusty, and some facilities are outdated or broken. The gardens could benefit from more funding and care to improve their appearance and safety. Harare Gardens is a place with mixed feelings for many people who visit it.

  • 3/5 Ollen N. 10 months ago on Google
The flora in this park is being satisfactorily maintained , the park has a lot of sentimental value to a lot of people of the older generation. It would be great if the responsible authorities put more effort in maintaining the structures like fences, swings e.t.c
