Very great place for a big event like braai or picnic or small gatherings, you pay $2 for kids and $3 adults and $2 parking

Always such a peaceful time at the gardens, lots of greenery and space. One of my favorite go-to place for picnics and nature walks. A lot more can be done to maintain the gardens though, particularly watering the grass. However, kudos to there for restoring the restaurant that at some point was closed. I recommend as venue for large events, also really good for photoshoots and school trips. Entrance fee is very reasonable

Wonderful place to spend a couple hours relaxing and getting away from the city noise. The park itself is not a big thing in terms of botanical garden, but it's atmosphere is very peaceful and it's so easy to get relaxed. There are a couple zebras and a oryx near to the pool where the metal animal statues are located. I recommend it for a walk or to do some sports.

Fun day at "KITE FOR PEACE". The Botanical Garden, however needs to put more in the maintaining the public toilets. The men's toilets where out of order and therefore had to use the womens, which had no running water and toilets did not flush. The grounds had plenty of holes and I witnessed a child's leg get caught in one. Luckily she did break her angle, worst still her leg. The management of the gardens needs to look at these hazards next time they rent out their space.

There are still some beautiful trees and the rainforest section is still nice. It cost $5 to park. I found the park dry and invaded by ants and looking a bit rundown. It is still nice for a walk around but it is nothing like it used to be.

Loved the serenity in the place and how they are maintaining the area, of course some areas need a bit of attention but generally it was a peaceful experience. Would be interesting if that man-made dam they are working on materializes soon. PS also a good thing that they accept ecocash for the entry fee.

It's great for walking if you need some exercise and a country feel in town without going far. As far as flowers and other interesting plant life goes that has pretty much all gone and it's now just a urban bush with grassy patches and an empty lake. But you still have to pay to go in for you, your car and your dog. Why you have to pay to park makes no sense to me. But clearly the money is not being used for the park which just looks like a large abandoned bushy area now. Lots of lovely trees though.

Exactly what it should, be a Botanical Garden. Lovely place for a walk or a bike ride or a dog walk.y family and I went Geocaching the other day, very fun. The Geocache was in the Gardens so it was a great excuse to go there. A little bit of LANTANA though, which should be delt with quickly. Over all a lovely place which I definitely recommend!

Not well maintained to be honest. It looks a bit abandoned and no flowers to see. But great place to go for a walk to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Interesting place, but needs a guide to fully understand and enjoy. I went on a Saturday morning, there were no guides and the restaurant was closed.

The place is so refreshing and so out of town within a town....a place to go and unburden your stress

  • 4/5 Lynley P. 3 years ago on Google
It's a lovely feeling of being in the bush so close to town. The trees need some TLC ants getting to them. Litter around but does eventually get picked up usually by other walkers. Events being held there cause a lot of litter

(Translated by Google) Judging from the signage, it used to be a great botanical garden, but now it can be said to be deserted. (Original) 从指示牌来看,以前是一个非常棒的植物园,但现在可以说是荒废了。

Sadly not the place that it used to be. Cafe long closed. Poor signage. Pathways in disrepair. Water features empty. Signage practically non existent. Would not recommend visiting the site at all

Sunset at Harare's National Botanic Gardens seen through a seasoned Flat Top Acacias so nice to see a steal a kiss from my lover. A copy of the gardens plan just so you don't get too lost.

A good space for a stroll. Not a big diversity of plants as I expected, but the rains are not here yet so it probably looks better in the rainy season.

  • 3/5 George M. 4 years ago on Google
Attended the food faire which was held at the Botanical Gardens. I did not explore the gardens. Being our dry season, most of flora and fauna looked dry but I would like to visit it during the rainy season when it's green & flowering.
