Monomotapa hotel is a great place to stay. What makes even greater is the hotel staff which are all so happy to accommodate you and provide their services at the best. I have stayed there for two days, this was last month in August and now in September I'm going there again!

I went to Monomotapa for a meeting. No one attempted to serve me and I deliberately did not call a waiter to see what would happen. The vacated tables were not clean either. I can't help but wonder what happened to Monos. I think they were at least a 4 star hotel back in the day. Now, at best they are a 2 star hotel.

Currently staying here (Feb 20-25), it seems that the Coffee bar's waiters (ground floor) are not here for clients, but to occupy the space, unfortunate ! Price : Yesterday, a small ordinary salad and 3 potatoes at the closing of the buffet came for 30 dollars !!! And this was not the price announced at the beginning. Pool: It is here but not usable Room (10 th floor): noisy, you can hear neighbours showers and also outside noise up to very late and also very early If I had the choice, I would pick up another hotel ! Will send updates of the rest of the stay !

Rooms: Excellent, we had a deluxe suite and executive suite. Rooms are minimalist decor and nicely appointed. Bathrooms are excellent with good quality bath products/ towels/ down pillows and duvets. beds are very comfortable Food: Breakfast buffet is lovely with many choices and well staffed. Fruits fresh and many choices. Pool area is beautiful and accessible for handicap with a long ramp that could have a nonelectric chair wheel right in! Service- I had read about possible poor service on reviews but this was not my experience. From checkin , concierge and activity arrangement they went out of their way to be helpful. The staff were very open with suggestions for outside places to eat and warned us about possible scams. I was very pleased and I am looking forward to the next visit.

Second time coming for a drink here and l must say their ciders are cheap compared to other hotels in the CBD. Customer service is up to par. Every employee at Monomotapa is friendly and respectful. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

From my perspective as a hotelier l noticed that the hotel has beautiful restaurants and good food but poor service from your waiters especially when pple come for conferences and stuff . One more thing l think it will do good for your restaurants if u have more waiters and few managers because from my experience l noticed that you have more managers and few waiters instead of the other way round . My beverage order which l was supposed to have with my main meal was served after l had finished eating that's not how it should be Please do refer to the leading hotels of the world (LHW) standards manual it will help you improve in your service

The rooms need renovations to a modern day look. My room bedside lamp switch was dead . The room hand no face towels , no basic stuff like toothbrush and toothpaste, no shower caps , no shaving stick. Crowne plaza is a top notch brand so disappointed to say the least.

Nice hotel, average food, loved the consideration taken with room amenities. The lady waiters in the dininig area lack decorum, they are all over the place, chatting about with guests, which I found a little disconcerting

The location is almost in the heart of Harare city. Convenient to go anywhere around the city. In food vegetarian options are not available but maybe it can be good for non vegetarians.

Stayed here in summer as part of a conference. Their centralised AC doesn’t work. After complaining they provided a fan which didn’t help ! Charged me $168/ night - this is double the usual rate. Breakfast spread is the only thing worth mentioning. Reception service sucks and they are clueless about almost everything

Calling this place a hotel is a joke, it’s a rubbish hotel, the rooms look like they are from the 1970’s. I’ll never stay here ever again! They’ll do anything for a dollar! Once you’ve paid you no longer matter! Horrible experience really.

I really was looking forward to my stay, but I’m sad to report that I was extremely disappointed. There was no air con, contrary to advertising, and the dinner here was inedible. This hotel makes the Protea feel like a 5 star.

This might once have been ok. Now Aug 23 - nearly everything is shabby, worn, stained or poorly patched. Half the electric outlets / lamps in our room were broken, loose and inoperable. Check in required they use every POS machine behind the desk, and then look for another to process a VISA card (that the app could have done if they'd let it). The location is central, but you'd need a really good reason to want that, because central Harare is dark and scary at night. Poor value for money too. The staff were nice, clean and polite for the two stars.

A superb place to be if you are ever in the country's capital. A mix of vintage and some of the latest hotel furniture. I loved this place and would have definitely extended my stay had it not been for other engagements on the other side of the city. I love love loved the hotel corridors and taking pics of them became my favourite past-time while I was lodged there this past week.

Nice café. Sound absorbant atmosphere. You can't here people on the next table though they are 2 or 3 metres away from you. Nice place for a business meeting. Essentially quiet and comforting.

The staff is absolutely well trained. Food is delicious. The room we were given may need a touch of renovation as water was leaking from the ceiling, the bedside lamp was broken, the carpets were a little stuffy and the furniture a little old. Their hospitality is excellent, still my favourite hotel ever

Attended a work training, the toilets need to be attended to. I also had lunch and asked for ice only to be asked for my room number. Couldn't get ice but was attending a full day training there

The General Manager, Mr Katsidzira, and his team are doing a great job keeping this behemoth going under challenging conditions. It takes a special team to keep standards high at the curved hotel. I enjoyed my stay

I am booked by the hotel yesterday asked for drinking water in the restaurant where they indicated they do not give us water but it's in our rooms. With this heatwave there was a 1 litrewater bottle which I had drunk already. I called for water by the reception at 2000hrs and was advised they will bring the water which took them 2hrs and many call follow ups they came up with a 500ml bottle of water and I was told it's a favour as they had supplied me with 1litre of water. After exchange of words I was advised a supervisor will come and talk to me which they never did. To make matters worse their aircons were not working the windows I could not open .

The alcohol is too extortionate as the prices of alcohol are above inflation. The food is OK needs improvement. The rooms could do with modernization. If you can remove vendors room neat the hotel as the CBD is filthy. Zimbabwe needs to keep and maintain standards which is a long way to go

A beautiful hotel that offers unique opportunities and ambience and also it's proximity to city centre. However it can be occasionally affected by events happening in the garden considering the sound system. But overall it is an ideal business and conference facility.

The rooms are good and gives you a good relaxed feel away from home and that busy life. Comparing with previous experiences I feel there is a deterioration. It is no longer as it used to be whereby from reception until you got settled, service was just excellent and there was always someone to assist you.

One of the greats in terms of historical CBD hotels. The chairs we got in the conference room were old and reminded me of those kitchen chairs we used to sit on as kids. Other than that great location, good food. Maybe could buy new furniture.

It was a good stay. The hotel is one of the few that have survived the covid season. However it needs alot of refurbishment to keep up with its rating.

Had dinner with my husband for his birthday at Monos restaurant. The service was top notch 👌. The food was mouth watering 😋, prepared to perfection and served on time. Generous portions too especially the main course. Gift our waiter was exceptional!! The restaurant is super clean, everything was just on point ❤️. Being a sweet tooth person I highly recommend the deathbychocolate cake, every bite was just out of this world 😍
