Imire was absolutley mindblowing. The house is amazing, the food, the staff and of course the volunteer work are all outstanding. Best thing to do, especially now during this covid situation. The best volunteer experience I had so far.

My husband and I did a one week volunteer program at Imire and the first thing that comes to mind is that it was absolutely life-changing. As an animal enthusiast, I’ve always wanted to be up close and personal to the animals. At Imire, not only did we get to learn about the animals and their drives but we got to meet these amazing people that take care of these wild animals as if their own. The workers are so passionate about what they do and take great pride in it. They work six days a week, and being at the conservancy, if there are any issues they will come on their day off to help out if needed. Regardless of the number of hours they were at or how tired they were they always had a smile on their face and it was just extremely welcoming. One week was not enough time at Imire. We’ve been back for two months now and we constantly think about our experience there and cannot wait till one day go back. Thank you Imire. We are forever grateful.

Two weeks in Imire was one of the best experiences of my life! I fell deeply in love with the place, the animals and the people there. The love and passion that everyone there has for the animals is incredible! I was privilaged to meet Judy and John Travers and their kids and to listen to their amazing (and sometimes horrifying) stories! The lodge was beautiful and the food was at 5* restaurant quality! An absolutely MUST VISIT place if you're visiting Zimbabwe!

A beautiful lodge not ordinarily available for bookings. Breathtaking views, comfortable accommodations, fantastic staff and set on an amazing wildlife reserve. A short hop from Harare and in close proximity to Marondera. Highly recommended.

Such a special place. This was my first trip here and won't be my last. The work is hard but so great to feel like the little you get to contribute as an impact. The staff and people are so amazing. They are truly passionate about the animals and the local community. You won't be disappointed and you won't want to leave! I'll see you soon Imire! ❤️

Beautiful private game park with a good variety of animals and fantastic facilities. The animals are fed and reasonably tame so it's not quite the same as other more natural game parks. As the animals are fed you are pretty much guaranteed to get to see lots of different types of animals up close including being able to pat/feed/get photos with some very large elephants. The animals seem to be pretty well looked after and in good condition.

You should, if you can, have a stay there. This was beyond our expectations. You learn so much about communities and wild life conservation. Definitely not an ordinary volunteering.

My friend snd i stayed at Imire overnight in October 2019. We had the most amazing experience. The game drives were fabulous and most informative, the accommodation was immaculate - overstuffed beds and very comfortable. Your staff were very friendly without going overboard. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. At no stage did we feel rushed or pressured at all. Thank you all so much. You touched my heart and i shall return time and time again x

What an amazing place to visit if you want to learn more about conservancy projects working to protect and save wildlife. All staff makes a point on teaching you everything about the wildlife in the reserve and how wildlife is interconnected. Just a pleasure to learn how the people working here love the project and can talk about all aspects of biodiversity and conservation. I highly recommend! Also food is delicious, staff is really kind in accommodating diet requirements - and your day is full of wildlife related activities!!

Truly a "once in a lifetime" trip. The week flew by and yet felt like a month's worth of experiences. Maddie, Bright and the entire Imire staff are absolutely amazing hosts/ guides. I can't believe the close experiences I had with animals here. I also really loved the community projects we worked on. Such an unforgettable week. If you're considering a volunteer trip, this should be it!! Such an incredible value!!

I volunteered for 2 weeks at Imire with my husband and 2 young kids (ages 6 and 9) in January. We had an absolutely incredible time. The accommodations at Camp Chiwawe were very comfortable - we were all in one large family tent with hot water and comfy beds. Food was great. We were taken care of from the minute we woke up until bedtime. Incredible staff, guides, and wildlife - we had so many adventures and felt very safe at Imire with our kids. We also enjoyed meeting members of the nearby community. Honestly, so much thought and preparation goes into the volunteer programming to make your experience incredible. Highly recommend, and hope we can come back for another stay!

I have just returned from a wonderful two weeks on the volunteer program. Maddie,Gabe and Bright oversaw an action packed program of wildlife encounters, maintenance work and community involvement. Here I am back in rainy UK longing to return to the sun, the bush with all it's wonderful wildlife and most of all the smiling, welcoming people. I am so excited about joining the wildlife program next year.😎🇿🇼
