The National Gallery of Zimbabwe is an art haven and is key in ensuring artists work gets the recognition it deserve. In the heart of Harare’s Central Business District, one gets an appreciation of artistic history. ❣️

The art pieces themselves are always such a delight to see. However I wish there was generally more life. The shop on site has limited variety and the coffee shop is not too appealing. The gallery basically plays the sole role of displaying the art pieces with nothing much. I wish there could be guided tours to add more to the experience.

Nice place to hang out. Many beautiful artworks from talented Zim artists. Tickets for locals and people with permits are $2, while tourists $10 which it's a bit pricey.

I visited the place and I wanted to help market it but I wasn't allowed access to more interesting works because I was supposed to pay. I will go back another to pay and take pictures. Everything in my country shows neglect that has been going on for many years. Otherwise this is a great place that showcases Zimbabwean creativity. See a few pics I took from the shop. I will be buying here myself items my Client Appreciation Program for use in my multi billion real estate business.

The artworks are changed from time to time. It's a place worth visiting if you like art. There's a café attached to it where you can sit and relax over some edibles and drinkables after your visit.

The art on display was exquisite. The curators rotate the artwork on display every once in a while to make sure that it reflects and resonates with whatever is going on in the country at that time. The staff were very friendly and helped us to find our way around.

I got in an hour before they closed. There was noone else there and it felt pretty magical.I felt that the entrance fee US$2 was somewhat steep for what you get. But all around a good experience.I would only suggest that they add some sitting areas in front of some of the art. Just to encourage one to appreciate it for longer.

Generally disappointed. The place could do with a serious refurbishment. The spaces are not utilised. More modern artifacts and exhibitions would be great. For example, the adoption of Marimba has become a force in Zimbabwe's music arena. This and many more elements are a possible addition.

The gallery itself is really nice, but the cafe downstairs needs to do better. Nothing on their menu is available, the food is horrible and drinks are not cold😭. We are definitely going to miss Artisana gallery Cafe.

Lovely gallery with exhibitions & events. The venue could do more to inform the public about the exhibitions & events that it has on a regular basis. Entrance is $2 to go in and see the art which is a bargain. I visit this place 2 to 4 times per year to see their exhibitions.

The exhibitions are very interesting, especially the Cyrene Mission one. However, the people at the desk were very off hand and not very polite. The shop had no change!

Large museum with several galleries of contemporary African art. Costs: 10 bond locals / 10 USD foreigners (Dec 2019). Definitely not worth the 10 USD - it's mostly the same sculptures and paintings you see at all the tourist stalls.

Wonderful gallery! I was in town for a day and decided to head to the gallery. The exhibit showing when I went had an amazing range of works, including a rad sculpture with jungle vines / giant caterpillar vibes made from cassette tapes and vinyl records. There were also these amazing tapestry wall hangings made from computer keys and toothbrush heads. Highly recommended. It’s right next to the park as well, which makes a nice pairing

A lively place with great exhibits of artworks. The members of staff are helpful. Their holiday school for school kids helps a lot. However, attention should be given to the sheet metal animal figurines in the garden as they are heavily rusted.

Adjacent to the Crowne Plaza Hotel is the National Gallery of Zimbabwe that hosts great art installations, paintings, photographs etc. Apart from that the Gallery opens up to the Harare Gardens allowing you marvel in art in the open. Hosts also a Library, Visual Arts School, Coffee Shop and Art shop where you can bag some of Zimbabwe's biggest visual art masterpieces.
