This place is neatly kept. Great for a day off. Just to relax and unwind. 10/10

Located in Avondale along Oxford Road and opposite Avondale Primary School is the Chisholm Gardens. The venue is good for weddings and outdoor activities like garden events. It's owned by City of Harare and maintained by the Avondale office under city council. Bookings are done at the Harare Gardens. Flowers and the lawn is still maintained and well kept. The environment is friendly and comfortable with less to no pollution. However, the garden has no electricity power points. If you need electricity for the function, one has to bring own generator or higher from the neighborhood.

This is a small park as you might find in an English town but without the anti social youths you might find in the UK. Swings are almost all broken so kids might be dissapointed. Lots of grass for games and picnics

Unkempt. I met some people who have no idea of what the place is about and they wanted to charge me. I doubt if it's still functional.

Lovely calm environment

Great for venue for out door garden events and functions. I've attended a tent wedding and a picnic style birthday party. The place is in the middle of a suburb so loud music is restricted they also limit events to be done during day light- these to be confirmed with city of Harare booking office though.

Small place but quiet enough to relax and go picnicking. Best time to go is in the morning, during the week. Afternoons and weekends are not ideal, unless you don't mind crowds.

A great park where you can have a picnic and just relax. The garden is well maintained and often well manicured. Great place for a photo shoot but just be sure to check with the caretaker about the cost of photography inside the park.

Very quiet place nice for meditating

It's a peaceful place that's not known by many people. I myself found out about it on Google Maps the other day. I did find that it is needs of some sprucing up a lil bit but still it's a wonderful place for a picnic or any other quiet activity.

Only found out about it recently, great to see places like this still being maintained. Relatively clean, pond has water, all great!
