It still stands as the Capitals Major Green Market. It offers a wide range of dried to fresh farm produce. Talk of Potatoes, Cabbages, Green Vegetables, Pepper, carrots, Garlic, Beetroot, shallots, beans fresh n dry, kapenta dried, fish dried, roundnuts, groundnuts, sorghum, millet, wheat, sunflower, brown rice etc. Mbare MUSIKA doesn't only do greens and other farm fresh. It also offers a wide range of households tools, school uniforms and books, electrical etc. It is a very convenient place for under 1 umbrella shopping. The environment is sometimes too crowded so 9me gotta be careful with PHONES and wallets as you move around to do your shopping. Mbare MUSIKA is located conveniently close to Chicken inn , chicken slice and bakers inn. It is also a stone throw from the bus rank for people coming out of HARARE.

A bit crowded most of the time but you will find very affordable fruits and veggies here. Parking can be an issue, make sure you pay for official parking as municipal police like to clamp people's cars

You can buy almost anything here for a very fair to cheap price, the only downside is it's crowded and not very hygienic which may result in an unpleasant shopping experience

Mbare is a cool market. The problem I have with it is navigation. The roads are bad and the vendors have laid their business along unauthorized places which makes it difficult to maneuver around.

This is not the heart of Harare buy it's the heart of Zim. If you haven't seen Mbare, you haven't seen Zim. It may be dirty but it has it all. Street hustlers sell garlic by kilo and the scale comes from the pocket. Fresh veggies and fruit are plenty. Dried food that's convenient for the electricity situation.

Mbare is heaven for the person who knows what he wants and how to get down and dirty to get it. If you like the nice, clean life then Mbare would be a 0 stars for you. It would be absolute hell. But if you are after the hustle and don't mind rubbing shoulders with people to bargain for the best market price, then Mbare is for you. You can't afford to get caught sleeping in Mbare. It's a hive of activity. The cradle of the Zimbabwean Zeitgeist of kungwavha. It is the Wall Street of the Zimbabwean informal sector.

Very busy place and very far away from being organized. Always afraid of losing money through pick pocketing

The place is generally ok for buying farm fresh produce ... You need to be vigilant all the time ... and i highly recommend the construction of temporary litter collections units to improve cleanliness

Very populated. But you are guaranteed to find anything you want. Rarely can you not find something you want. A very diverse places of farming tools, machinery, car parts, foods, fertilizers, fruits etc.

Went to buy butternuts dried vegetables and fruits and vegetables. Used paid parking 3$. Best time to go is early morning before most people are there. Better wear closed shoes because of dust and dirty water.

  • 2/5 Tinashe M. 9 months ago on Google

At Mbare you get all goods and commodities at the lowest prices .its a mega wholesale where you find everything: vegetables ,fruits ,medicine, car parts, plastics, clothing, tools and machines, laptops and cell phones etc. When walking in Mbare be extra careful , there are lots of pickpockets

  • 5/5 Kelvin M. 2 years ago on Google
The place has gone back to where it came from, The road has also gone from bad to worse with the businesses thriving in dirty dilapidated buildings. The hostels are worse and a health hazard, A bomb actually just waiting to explode. While those that travel there for business purposes might tell you otherwise.

Traditional market where you can get everything, just guard your belongings carefully. It's still my go to place , #Zimbabwean hustling, # Zimbabwean entrepreneurs.

CHEAP. CHEAP. CHEAP. Great prices on nearly everything under the sun. Veggies. Electronics. Clothes. It's just very busy so keep all essential possessions at home so you don't feel paranoid about pickpockets or people breaking into your car. On the downside. It's very dirty. It's absolutely muddy when it rains. You hardly feel safe, although it is relatively safe if you keep to yourself. You will be hassled about buying after every turn but this is to be expected.

Terrible place to go if you have a vehicle. Take combis. Otherwise you can get everything vegetable there at a relatively low price. Be careful of being swindled.

  • 1/5 Albert Z. 2 years ago on Google
There is mud all over the place after only two down pours. I suggest one to wear waterproof boots.

  • 2/5 Rodwell Tsverukai M. 2 years ago on Google
While the prices of vegetables is reasonable the market is dirty ,muddy and smelly more needs to be done to make the market clean

  • 4/5 Isheanonzwa J. 1 year ago on Google
Most people advise that you keep your belongings and personal effects close as there are quite a large number of pickpockets and conman there. Regardless, the goods there are cheap, very affordable and at almost half the marked price of those in the city center. Vegetables and tomatoes are very fresh, literally. There are areas where the clothes are quite affordable and of high quality too.

Not much an interesting view from the outside but from within u will be thrilled by the number of fresh vegetables and fruits you would find there. Its a very busy area full of people and also the market has a big catchment area so attracts many customers from different places.

  • 3/5 Onwell D. 1 year ago on Google
Everything is there in Mbare. Just be careful who you biy it from. Lots of conmen that side. The Musika side is a hive of activity from sunrise to sunset. Its a mess during the rain season, better put on your gumboots before heading off to Mbare. There is a city council building were you can park your car securely and pay US$1 on your way out.

The area has been destroyed by opposition councillors now to an extent of having sewage all over the place and I hope the newly elected councillor from the ruling party can do something
