With this post I’m celebrating life - I am almost at 1 million Google Maps contributions views!!!!! Say what??? Its been a journey full of passion, love, wonders & seeing & exploring the world through my eyes, (well with my mobiles camera). From my home in Mutare, Zimbabwe, Africa to The Middle East & to the rest of the world… this life is surely a journey & we will all get there & reach the skies! It started as a hobby & it still is.. from Level 1 to Level 7💁🏼‍♀️ I will do this over & over again in this lifetime. Much appreciation to Google maps for making this easy for us to share our experiences to the world! Hoping many have found the photos & reviews helpful. It looks beautiful and well taken care of. Mowed lawns, neat environment. Good for a braai out, picnics, small outdoor gatherings etc. Good for kids too.

This place is no longer "The Ponds" but "The Pits". All the fishing ponds were dry - not a single drop of water. It looked like they purposely drained all the ponds. The staff need to enforce the rules. Big sign on entry saying no load music, but there was a group that had brought their mobile sound system and the music was so loud which was very inconsiderate of them considering that the park had many families/groups. We all had to spend the afternoon listening to horrible irritating music.And the staff did nothing about it! The grass around the picnic area was not cut which probably contributed to the huge number of flies and bees in the park. I am sure that management could of done something about it. The staff need to enforce the rules of the park. I won't be visisting this place for a long time...

We were looking for some peaceful please is Harare to spend our time and we got to know about this park... We came to the place and found that this is a very nice and family location where we can do brai and many thing ... They have special activities for kids. For youngsters. They can come and chill. Overall the place is very good you can carry your own stuff and chill out..

Really cool place had not been there in years and was happy to see that it was still well maintained. Great for picnics and braais and is family friendly

Tranquil serene and picturesque. Unfortunately the water has dried up in the ponds and so that limits the available activities. But as a picnic spot, its a great choice especially if you do not want to go too far out of town. Bring your own food and drinks and water.

Family friendly and best outdoor place to visit with plenty of activies for kids

Entry fees are a bit on the expensive side and the service needs to improve especially since one has to pay for every single thing (braii stand, wood etc). Amenities could be improved too especially the grounds and dam which could be spruced up. Apparently, it used to be way better than it is...

Lots of space and great location for events. However not a lot of activities which means you have to be creative with your own entertainment. Grounds are well maintained.

Best for picnics and family / romantic outings.

Nice picnicking venue, cum events location as well. I am one of the many photographers that also use this pace as a photoshoot location. Oh yeah Kingfisher boasts a beautiful sunset reflected in the pond that sits right at the centre of it. It has both a rustic and romantic feel.

Had a quite engaging outdoor experience. Nice place for kids and adults.

Lovely place for picnics

Terrible, even the decline of the rozvi state was better than this, no back up electricity, no functional activities even the water slide is just a tent and they spray a bit of water with a horsepipe. The price doesn't justify the place, it should be free at the least. This is a place to please your kids at the expense of your own excitement

It's cool place for family gatherings, pic nics, educational camps

It's a nice place. My only problem with the place is the toilet. There is just 1 toilet which is not enough for a place that has more than 100 people at any given weekend. Also when I went there was no light in the toilet.

An outdoor party at this place is a good idea, ice atmosphere and sometimes there is a dj. Braai stands are always available and i think charcoal as well!

Amazing hangout environment.

It was ok. The grass was green and place is perfect for picnics, birthdays, and you can enjoy other family and friends get together meeting in an outdoor setup. You get go for zip lining and you also do tag of war. Braai stands and charcoal are provided for a charge.

The place need an uplift ..it's so nice but the water space need full maintenance

It's a very good place fo a family outing,and the kids get to enjoy different activities like jumping castle,volleyball and others

Shame there is no more water in that Dam, it helped much to give a new ce ambience. @$5 entry it's a rip off. Only made ok coz you watch the kids.

The zip line can be improved on taking back the rope to the start. Employee manning it and children's trampoline accepted bribes to let drunk overweight adults on.

Serious security concerns. More than 3 cars were broken into and personal valuables were stolen, not to mention damages to the cars. Kingfisher staff on duty were not even sympathetic the only thing they could tell us was that they put a disclaimer “park at owners risk” yet the car park is within Kingfisher. It becomes very difficult to justify the $5 entrance fee at least invest a $1 towards parking security.

Beautiful spaces but water situation very disappointing

Lack of adequate directional signs makes the place difficult to find. They have too few ablution facilities. This place could easily be a great go to place ...but the over reliance on old infrastructure puts a real damper in things.

Good airy place to spend with family. The place is excellent for children to play and run.

Cool place u can also do fishing

Had a fun chilled picnic with the girls. Enjoyed the place, however it needs proper management of activities. It's a lot of things in one place. They must place similar activities in one area and others in another. As consumers we are looking for different things, one day I might be there for a loud birthday party the next I may be looking for a chilled spot for a quiet picnic.

A bit more investment is required to cater for everyone and make it realise its full potential. Outdoor plugs, more tents, etc. But it's a great picnic area for the whole family

Not a great place for parties now, run down, flies everywhere in numbers.

When I want to take a day off with the Kids and can't go too far from base this is my space.

First of all sorry for the bad pictures :| Its a really beautiful park,secluded and private great for picnics, chilling or hanging out, i go there to clear my head sometimes, the air is fresh and it was very clean last time i was there.

A great Place for a picnic. I really had a nice time there. Lovely vegetation, and landscape, I would like to visit the place again
