Great pub/eatery but the River Mall where it is is kind of a white elephant. The food is good though especially for light meals and the ambience is great with a great funky theme and vibe. The staff here are quite friendly but I found it very cold during the winter so that’s something that they can look at improving.

The hot chocolate continues to be my absolute favourite. I have particularly enjoyed the Quiz night that they host every Tuesday over the years. I do think that it's rather unfortunate that certain drinks are not served after a certain hour, we arrived at 7pm and where not able to order milkshakes.

This is a good place to just chill and eat good food. The platters are well made. On this occasion we ordered a breakfast smoothie, a strawberry milkshake, a sadza dish with short ribs, sausage, kababs, chicken, creamy chicken; a platter with chips, wings… etc; a chicken salad; fish and chips. In fact, the intention was not to order chips coz i prefer my fish with a salad or rice, anything but chips but we were told that they were not doing swaps so it had to be fish n chips. if you want a different side you have to order it separately on top of the fish n chips. Firstly, my surprise came from the fact that this was not my first time there and previously we had been able to order the sides we preferred btwn what was available , secondly, even at simple take out restaurants you can just order chicken/fish without chips then select the starch you prefer so i expected more from the place but the fact that the fish could not be separated from the chips was new for me! There is need for flexibility and an understanding of the diverse nature of clients n preferences. This was not a train smash though so do not get discouraged. The service was really great and timely, the food was delicious especially the short rib, it is mouth watering, the creamy spinash is amazing, the chicken salad was spot on, the strawberry milkshake was delicious. I totally recommend these! We had a great time.

Always love the vibe and experience at Pariah. Mood is always on another level. Great music, food, drinks and conversations all around. Covid prevention measures were observed. Staff was very friendly. We've never had to wait for long for our order at Pariah which is always a plus. Looking forward to our next visit.

I was here to meet a friend and have a quick drink. It was quiet with a few patrons. Service was good not exceptional. They have music playing nothing perculiar about their playlist. Decor makes visiting the restaurant an experience l will give them that, there is artwork of past musicians which is something thought through, tells me they promote local art which is great. Location: It’s in a mall so ablution facilities are the same with all mall patrons. Enough parking, just not sure on a busy day how it looks. Overall l think it’s a great restaurant, will def come back to try the food, although my friend said their Greek salad isn’t actually Greeky ;)

Enjoyed my lunch at Pariah Avondale. Great view overlooking the carpark into the flee market. The food is great. The drink selection can be tricky but if you ask they may make a plan for you. Thank you pariah.

I love everyone who works here, the food is tasty and not too pricey, plus the paintings inside create an artsy mood. A great place to be a regular at.

I loved their steak. Their chips and onion rings are delicious. The long island is actually a big glass and can be shared. The Playlist was lovely. I really did enjoy the music. I say it's a perfect chill spot for birthday celebrations and anything to do with fun. Attached pictures show their menu and prices in USDs.

Great food. Avondale probably has the best bang for your buck when it comes to the platters. A fave. Drinks menu is not very clear so it's hard to pick more elaborate drinks if you are new to the dranks game.

I had a meal here exactly a year ago, burgers I think. My friend and I had food poisoning after. I emailed them to let them know, they never responded. Just got reminded by google photos lol Anyway, don’t eat here.

I have always loved Pariah Avondale but Ordered a Pariah platter the other time as takeaway. Their food was extremely fatty and the chips still had the potato skin on them. I texted my complaint and got a zero response.

They gave us rotten meat!!!!. When I told them the meat was terrible they took our plates with the meat then brought the same piece back only thru had just reheated them. Everyone got sick for 2days after eating their food. What a scam

Loved the atmosphere and the artwork of musicians on the walls. The music selection was also great, as it was local music as opposed to other places which play Amapiano only. Took a while to get a server to notice us once we were seated, but once he did he tended to us regularly. I had the fish and chips, and though the fish was well cooked and moist, the oil needed a change because even the fries were a bit brown. Place closed a bit earlier than expected though (23H00) Overall a decent experience, will definitely be back

we got there Friday night, we had to look for a table by ourselves, we found a place after the other patrons left, no one cleared our table, we sat for a long time then i had to go to the counter for assistance, i ordered by the counter lol. but the food was nice though, service wasn't good, you can definitely do better.

Great place for a night on the town. The ambiance is top tier and the service even better. Perfect stop to go sit down with a few friends and unwind. Plenty of safe parking and never really too crowded. It’s really a good spot if you ask me.

A young and up to date atmosphere of a classic European style cafe-bar. But the service was very slow because priority is given to outside orders. I waited almost 40 minutes for a sandwich...And they close the kitchen at 21:00

The food is great and also Jeffrey our waiter but I got disappointed on Saturday when I was told that the lady I had talked to on Friday for reservations was not around so my table was not reserved. We had to wait for the table to be free so that we move 🤦🏻‍♀️

We got there in the morning when it wasn’t even busy and the waiter complained ignored us. 30 mins, still no service and no acknowledgement - at almost 1hr we stood up and left. The staff wasn’t even bothered that we were leaving, didn’t ask if anything was wrong … disappointed

This place has good food, good music and parking. Staff is commendable. The only challenge is accessibilty. I am yet to find both escalators working and the toilets might need some TLC. I understand it may be a challenge with shared premises but after hours do it for your patrons.

We came in and sat and the waiters were just staring at us without any attendance.They came after 5 minutes and they took our order in a very informal way without writing it down. When I took my order I strictly mentioned I do not consume pork due to my denomination and he nodded.The order took 20 minutes and after this long wait the waiter finally brought my food and it had bacon bits on top."Isn't this bacon" I asked. He said "yes". I then explained yet again telling him I cannot consume pork and I had told him at first. What mostly shocked me was he was now lying about the menu saying pork was written when it wasn't. We both looked on the menu and as I expected no pork was written on the contents of the dish. He then walked away and went to talk to his chef and returned. I then ordered another dish. After my meal he then threw my change on the table and walked away. Definitely I am never going back.

Paraih State is a phenomenal place, I really enjoyedz their meals are superb especially the Paraih Meal and a Chocolalate smoothie......it's finger licking good . Their waiters are always wear a smile, the seating areas are so flexible and there's a cool breeze that comes in every second. You got to try this place

The prawns were terrible, definitely not fresh. Out the three meals ordered, the pork ribs were on point, the chicken great, but alas my meal, the prawns, atrocious. If you can't get fresh prawns, just say the dish is unavailable, at least I get to order something else. Not waste my money on stale sea food.

Ambience is good but service rather slow. On the 2 occasions I have been there, yesterday and on the 30th, nobody cared to save me until I complained despite standing right at the counter.

These guys need deliverance. Got some takeaway, order was not complete. They showed no remorse let alone apologize for it.

The customer service was slow we got in and all the waiters were just staring at us we had to go up to the counter to get help. Our waitress was either rude or she was just moody, she was acting like we were requesting too much when we were requesting the bare minimum. I didn’t get her name but her customer service skills were terrible, she’s the reason why I might not go back, at one point I was afraid to order more stuff just so I wouldn’t have to interact with her and when we requested things for our table it took way too long.. the food was good though

The food was bad, tasteless meat, the meat was bad, OK prepares a better dish. The cocktails were the worst a freezit is better, I highly don’t recommend.

Pariah Avondale, the home of terribly slow and basically non existent service really!!! Time and time again nothing is ever in place or on time,If food doesn't take forever to come out you alternatively do not get anyone to take your order at all,everyone in that shop just tends to look busy instead. One Tkay guy being bootlicked by patrons begging him to take orders to which he responds pointing some other girl will do it Yesterday i passed through there at 8am to get a coffee on my way to work, i was told they had just fumigated and needed 30min to finish cleaning up. I left and did Chai Cafe instead. Today on my way from work, i asked to be assisted by the counter , was tossed back and forth, i left with no coffee… Why Beg For A Coffee ?? , Not worth it !!
