The rains have filled up this great place once again so tread with caution. Great for picnics. P.S....do carry all provisions you might need since there are no services around. In case you run out of fuel, or supplies while hiking, Chikwanha Shops are at least 5km away for a refill.

Not much water at this time of the uear5. So was able to go deeper into the river bed and took some great photos of the places that are normally under water. It was a great spectacle and brought me close to mother nature. Cool breeze of fresh air was all around with the scenic rocks all around me and the birds and water du la singing in the cool blue waters. It was such a wonderful experience.

Years of draughts have dried up the once majestic dam.

It's also known as Henry Halam Dam according to the encryption on the Dam wall, though locals also call it Prince Edward Dam. Great sight for nature lovers. Good for a picnic outing. Extremely quiet environment.
