Visually stunning! Gorgeous view! Gracious host. Spacious and luxurious accommodations with old world charm and lots of fun eclectic details. We love it and highly recommend. As a bonus we saw a whale right off our balcony that lingered until sunset.

Great place! Mary was great and very helpful. Sadly John was out of town, but we still got the amazing scones. This place is well worth the money between the hospitality, the food, and the drinks. Arnie, their friend, was great too and is great to chat with if you want. Their dog was great also.

What an amazing little slice of heaven this place is!! Mermaid's Muse is eclectic, inviting, offers stunning views, a comfortable suite with a hot tub overlooking the ocean, and the hosts are friendly and warm. As if that wasn't enough, we enjoyed a breakfast of farm fresh scrambled eggs and delicious scones out on the deck, with the amazing ocean view right in front of us. It was incredible!!

What a find this place is! I'll be honest, it was the hot tub with a view that drew us to Mermaid's Muse but it turned out to be so much more! We also enjoyed the comfy adjustable bed with massage function, faux fireplace heater, refrigerator, and smart TV for when we wanted to stay in. John and Nancy were more than happy advise us on restaurants and local attractions though I had done exhaustive research on them already so we were good to go. We couldn't have asked for better hosts! Due to Covid we couldn't gather for breakfast but they were happy to leave fresh coffee, scones (sooooooo good!), and prepared eggs from their chickens. Seriously those scones were to die for! We had a wonderful time getting away to Mermaid's Muse and we can't wait to visit again!

I have to admit that pulling this place up and reading the description made me think twice. Once we arrived around 9.30pm we were greeted warmly by the hostess who showed us to our room. A full suite on the side of the house is yours to call home. Full bathroom, comfy queen sized bed, living room with fireplace and a private hot tub that over looked the ocean. Wake up on the morning to freshly baked scones, brewed coffee, an assortment of fresh fruits and cereal. Not to mention just about anything you're heart desires from the stove top or oven. Highly recommended!

Really nice...John and Nancy where sweet nd good cooks also...very eclectic decor well go back for special occasions the mermaids muise suit has personal spa on a little deck nd a 2 room suit to relax in...enjoy ....

This place is incredible! John and Nancy were very welcoming and accomadating! We loved Dr. Howser too! The views from the hot tub are amazing! We can't wait to come back!

The Mermaids Muse is an amazing bed and breakfast, it is full of eclectic art and just comfiness. it feels like a home that you've been welcomed into. I am definitely going back. the scones are amazing and there was a beautiful dog.

Had an awesome stay. Very quiet and very private. Views are amazing. A couple changes maybe. There was Two inches of rain but my wife tripped and fell on the greasy wooden approach to the front door. The path to the hot tub could use some foot traction materials. And for breakfast it was delicious but I could have used a piece of protein ie sausage being diabetic. Nice people, nice facility, we will be back

Fantastic views and rooms. We stayed in the Captain's Quarters. The sounds of the ocean and balcony view were amazing. The private hot tub was even better. We felt very at home here. Bonnie is an amazing chef and prepared delicious vegan breakfasts for us each morning. The sheets and bed are like a cloud. The bathroom was to die for. Heated flooring and the shower was beautiful. Definitely recommend staying here.

My wife Audrey and I have stayed all over the U.S. in all types of hotels, motels, B&B's, ect., and this raked right up there with the very best of them.....from the location, the 5-star accommodations, the excellent breakfast including fresh, right out of the coop eggs to the best hosts anyone could ask for. Nancy and John were very gracious and quick to engage in intelligent, wide-ranging conversation. I loved our stay and will be going back in a couple of months. Thanks guys!!!!

I cannot believe our good fortune in finding our perfect place to be along the ocean. Nancy & John, as well as Chenzo the amazing little dog, are incredible hosts. The breakfasts were so delicious, loved the chickens, as well as the evening drinks in the deck. The room & the bed were so very comfy & I missed the ocean view immediately. I hope we know you for many years to come Nancy & John! (How nice of you to arrange a rainbow for my birthday 🥳 ), The Mermaid Suite was divine, with hot tub just outside the door. Brookings & the Chetco River & beaches have become our favorite town along the Oregon Coast. We’ll be back!🧜🏻‍♀️🩷🦋🩵

Great time there, soaking in the hot tub with views was just great. John and Nancy just topped off a relaxing time with very good breakfasts and conversayions!
