My experience here at Intero was fantastic. From start to finish, the food was impeccable. Everything I had I would say is a must try. We started with the whipped ricotta bread and when I say WOW I mean WOW. We couldn’t get enough so we got a second. We also got a wedged cabbage for the table - so unique. Loved the flavors on that. For my entree I had the quail risotto with beet and cabbage. The risotto was so rich with flavor I was in heaven. We ended the meal with this phenomenal brown butter cake that was topped with a cinnamon gelato, paired with marshmallows and pecans. This is a MUST. Thank you to Intero for this amazing night and experience!

Can’t recommend this place enough. The service is so friendly, professional and accommodating - they asked about dietary requirements straight away and easily accommodated all our needs. Our server offered me a vegan pasta which isn’t listed on the menu and was absolutely delicious. All their pasta is made fresh in house and is beautiful. The star of the show was the ravioli with smoked beef. It was incredibly well-balanced, with perfect flavour combinations and was perfectly cooked - a world class dish that’s one of the best we’ve eaten. They also mentioned they’re farm to table so we felt good about enjoying our meal too. They also make their own pastry and chocolate in house, so give you complimentary little chocolates with your bill. Will definitely be back!

Oh my goodness! We celebrated my birthday here and it was perfection. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the vibe was dim, relaxed, and romantic. For someone who doesn’t eat a lot of fine dining Italian food, the menu was a little hard to know what was what. Between google and our waitress being really knowledgeable of the menu, we were able to all order something we enjoyed! The desserts were were impeccable, coming from a pastry chef myself. We will definitely be back to try the wood fired pizzas!

Very small portions and very overpriced for what you get. A lot of the dishes are bland and they have tiny portions. You have to at least spend $100 plus to be partially full. Service is lackluster and the manager is ill mannered, disrespectful and rude. Eat hear leave hungry, empty pockets and disrespected. Look elsewhere.

Perfect date night spot. Ordered gnocchi appetizer, gnocchi entree, ravioli, and butter cake dessert. We were blown away! My super picky husband even loved it. Great atmosphere, service and food. We’ll be back

t's our first time here and we chose a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary! The food was excellent, the ambiance is very homey but the one who made our night was Harry! His service was phenomenal and very educational about the menu. My husband had a lot of questions and having a hard time choosing what he will eat (everything sounds delicious!) but Harry guide him through it and didn't make us feel we were in a rush. We were working in a food industry and we would say his service is 10/10! Other than that, from the host and other employees - they are also welcoming and made us special by simply greeting us.

Intero Restaurant in Austin is an exquisite culinary gem that effortlessly blends the rich flavors of Italy with the warmth and hospitality of Texas. As soon as you step inside, you are welcomed by an inviting ambiance, with rustic decor and a relaxed, yet sophisticated atmosphere. The dimly lit space adds a touch of intimacy, making it ideal for a romantic date night or an evening out with friends. The service at Intero is attentive and friendly, ensuring you feel like a valued guest throughout your visit. The waitstaff is knowledgeable about the menu, and the pacing of the courses is just right, allowing you to savor each dish without feeling rushed. While Intero is on the higher end in terms of pricing, the exceptional quality of the ingredients, the skillful execution of each dish, and the overall dining experience make it well worth the splurge. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an exceptional meal, Intero Restaurant in Austin is an absolute must-visit for food enthusiasts and anyone seeking an unforgettable gastronomic journey.

I loved this place. Intero did an amazing job scoring points in all aspects of dining. Food was top notch, the service was great and the ambiance was perfect for a date night with my wife whose birthday we were celebrating. We were lucky enough to go on a day where they had the menu for Austin restaurant week. So we both opted to have the 4 course meal. For the first course we chose the Sourdough Focaccia and Grilled Yukon Potatoes. The Focaccia along with the ricotta was so delicious and flavorful. The bread was super soft and almost melted in your mouth. I loved the potatoes as well but the Focaccia really stole the show. For the second course, we tried the Summer Melon Salad and the Roasted Beets salad, and both the salads were great. Summer Melon was a little sweet but also nutty which complimented the sweet flavor. For the third course, we tried the Bucatini and the Risotto. Bucatini was so good, it was very creamy and had a hint of spice. Risotto's texture was very different from what usually we have had but we loved the flavor and found it very delicious too. For the final course, we tried the Brown Butter Cake and the Strawberry Sorbet. I was a bit disappointed with the sorbet as it was not as flavorful and tasted a bit bland. Brown Butter Cake on the other hand was delicious. In conclusion, I loved almost everything this place had to offer and will be planning a return trip again.

We ordered curbside from Intero tonight and they accidentally forgot to put our dessert in our bag; instead of refunding us they physically drove the desert to our house and even gave us extra chocolates that is the sine of five star service!! Thank you!

Intero is hands down the best food I've eaten. Everyone working is extremely nice and welcoming. You NEED to try to foccacia and ricotta if it's on the menu!

Food is hit or miss and so is service. No one likes asking 5 times for the same thing and never getting it. They corner you if you don't pay a 25% tip and grill you. That's just rude not everyone makes a fortune and our finances are none of their business. They should be happy for the business not disrespectful to their patrons. That is very poor customer service.

I shared a celebration dinner here last night with three friends and it was a really lovely experience. It was easy to make a reservation and they allowed us to reserve a table in the bar/lounge, where we could take advantage of their all-night happy hour pricing. We were surprised by how comfortable and spacious our table was, because many places only have small high-tops and uncomfortable chairs in these areas. It was fairly chilly inside when we arrived but either the space or we ourselves warmed up over the first half hour and didn't notice it further. The hostess and waitstaff were friendly and knowledgeable. Our main waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list and eager to provide suggestions. We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine to toast with and one of everything on the happy hour menu to start. The sparkler ended up being a dessert wine, that was delicious, but that we might have saved have saved for later in the meal if it had been marked or commented as such. The happy hour items were generously portioned and were excellent across the board, the focaccia bread with ricotta and the carrots being our group's favorites. They were spaced out so that we never ran out of table room which was lovely, but there was sometimes a long amount of space between when we would finish a couple of plates and when the next ones would arrive. We also each an entree per person, and while all were delicious, there was a group consensus that the risotto was far and away the best, while also being over salted. Another person also thought their entree was over salted, but I can't recall which entree they had. We split an excellent bottle of minerally white wine, and then sampled several glasses of different reds, all of which were fine but none of which were outstanding. We also tried a couple of their cocktails, the Breakfast Club and Courtesy Call. Courtesy Call was outstanding and Breakfast Club was fine after the ice melted a little and mellowed the sharpness of the flavors. They have an amazing and extensive amaro menu and our waiter let us sample a few before committing. We also sampled their cappuccino (delicious), brown butter cake (very like an olive oil cake), and tawny port (very nice). My friend Lauren ordered a sipping chocolate but it never arrived and when we received our check, the kitchen had already closed, so our waiter took off an additional couple of items to make up for it. They closed out the meal by bringing us a coffee mocha truffle each, which were lovely.

Pleasant surprise. Delicious (but maybe not the most authentic) food and with surprising value. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes, and a pizza to split and all 3 of us left feeling very full. And the total bill was only $33 each before tip. Service was great as well.

Excellent Italian restaurant with a really cool concept of “Zero-Waste” food use. Therefore their menu changes everyday so that they can utilize every bit of food on hand. The creativity it takes to accomplish this while maintaining the top notch quality and menu availability is impressive. Vibes in restaurant are on point as well.

Awesome spot for a date night or friend gathering! The whipped ricotta and bread were to die for. The ricotta was like a creamy butter on the perfect bread. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and it paired well with it a nice glass of red wine. The pasta and pizza were light and airy and had great flavor. The service was on point. I loved the quaint atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Great food and great cocktails. Expect a high level of service quality and taste alongside a unique atmosphere that feels lively but also intimate. Intero will meet and definitely exceed your expectations as one of the staple Austin restaurants. Reservations are limited and booked out so if you plan to come to Austin for a short time, plan ahead and get yourself a seat at one of their tables. We got the focaccia, bucatini, oyster mushrooms pizza & brown butter cake.

Where do I start with this place? It’s cozy and intimate, simple yet elegant. The dim lighting and candle light will make your date night or celebration feel even more special. We went for our 20th anniversary celebration and we were received with congratulations from the hostess to our waitress who by the way was AMAZING! Her name is Rachel and not to take anything from the rest but she is THE BEST! She was so nice, warm, attentive and friendly and she brought us a complimentary champagne toast as well as a 4 piece chocolate treat for dessert. Her description and recommendations for the food were spot on and really helpful. Being honest, this place was basically one of our last choices as we didn’t knew anything about it but we are so glad we went as it instantly became our favorite restaurant in Austin. It’s not cheap but this is the kind of place that you feel great paying whatever you have to pay because the value actually matches the price. If you have not eaten there yet go and if you have and you didn’t loved it for whatever reason please give it a second chance. Hope you enjoy it! P.S. the gnocchi and the risotto…to die for

A delicious and memorable experience from start to finish. Local fare, beautifully prepared. The flavors and textures turned familiar foods into dishes that were delicious, new, and exciting. I wish I had room to keep trying more. Our server, Harry, was phenomenal. One of the best waiters we’ve ever had. His expertise of the menu details, eye for perfect wine suggestions, and enthusiasm for the restaurant really made this a gem of an experience. Will be back again every time in Austin. Thank you!

The food, service, and atmosphere were incredible. The staff was very accommodating to our dietary restrictions (vegetarian), and offered numerous substitutions and alterations to the menu. The portions are reasonable sizes, and the cocktail and wine selections were amazing. Will definitely come back.

Overall we really liked our visit. Atmosphere was cozy and classy but still laid back. Staff were all very friendly and our waitress was very attentive. The food was really fresh and we liked the adventurous approach, but some of the flavors we felt didn't mesh up quite right. The drinks were good, but pretty basic for the $$. The wagyu brisket in fried risotto appetizer was very heavy, and the puree and apples I think were supposed to balance it out, but felt disjointed and like 2 separate dishes. My quail and risotto was delicious, but I was expecting a whole or at least half a quail and only had the legs and wings which was almost nothing and was very small proportionally to the risotto. My wife's duck confit pasta was delicious, with spice and balanced flavors, but it tasted more like an Asian dumpling than Italian pasta to me. The brown butter cake with cinnamon Gelato was outstanding. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would recommend checking it out!

Went in on a Monday, for a date night after a ton of recommendations from friends. For a Monday night this place was busy! So I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time, thankfully we did and were sat promptly. Ambiance was great, very warm & cozy. Lively but not too loud. Great wine list by the glass, so we ordered a glass of two funky reds that we both really enjoyed. We started with the Housemade Burrata and Wagyu Beef Carpaccio. Both were phenomenal - the burrata was perfection, well seasoned, and the carpaccio was packed with flavor and so tasty. We ate bites of both as one on the toasted fresh bread that came with the burrata, and it was the perfect pairing! Highly recommend! Then dinner went a little downhill unfortunately... it was about a 40-min wait from the time we finished our appetizers to when we received our pasta entrees. To make it even more annoying, our server didn't seem too phased and only offered to check to see what the delay was after about 30-min. For the mains, we ordered the Mafaldine with house bolognese sauce and the Tortelloni filled with duck confit. The mafaldine was good, except the sauce was cold, but you can tell if it had been served fresh, warm from the kitchen it would've been really good. The tortelloni though, we really wanted to like, but the flavor pairing just didn't work for us - not to mention, this dish was also cold. Such an unfortunate ending to what started as such a promising dinner.

Delicious! Went here for our anniversary on a Sunday night. They have is a complimentary glass of champagne and crostini! Had the patio to ourselves for most of the night. Wanted to order everything on the menu, I'd tell you what we got but they change the menu frequently, but nothing disappointed! So I think you're safe no matter what you order.

I cannot speak highly enough about Intero! Krystal went so insanely out of her way to make our Valentine’s Day with a newborn at home special and memorable. We ordered the chocolate and whiskey and amari flights and some extra chocolates and it was all beautiful, high quality, entertaining to read about, and special. I can’t wait to go and eat there in-person!

What an experience. All of the food was vastly different flavor profile wise and the presentation was tops. In all reality I would go back for the smoked cabbage weekly if I lived in Austin. Tester kitchen pizzas were awesome and hope they are a staple next visit we make to Austin

This place was incredible. We went for my sisters birthday and I had never heard of it and the food was quite literally art. It was presented so beautifully and our waiter was so knowledgeable. There was not a single plate that we didn't clean off completely. This restaurant is unlike any other Italian restaurant in Austin. It completely reinvents Italian food and takes it to a whole new level. You have to go!

What an amazing spot! We have been coming here since Intero opened. Love their seasonally changing menu. Tried the new pizza and cocktail specials last night, margarita pizza (the cherry tomatoes were perfection) and Go Figure drink were our favorites. Hands down the best dish on the menus is Bucatini, order it - you won’t be disappointed!! If you have a group, the private room is the perfect intimate spot to celebrate. Well done Intero!! And just when you think you know how a Carmel chocolate tastes .... Krystal amazes you!

Amazing date night restaurant!! The food is creative and flavorful, and the service is top notch. My favorites were the risotto and the sipping chocolate! We sat on the patio and felt distanced and safe. Highly recommend!

loved this little Italian restaurant. menu is small since food is sourced locally, farm to table style. our duck tortellini and seared tuna were super fresh and the portion sizes were also great. left feeling satisfied, without the heaviness that comes from eating at an Italian restaurant. will go back!

  • 5/5 Christi H. 3 years ago on Google
I cannot say enough good things about Intero. The food is ridiculously amazing. Gigi is always there making sure everything is OK and Lukas had such wonderful suggestions for food and wine. Oh, and the CHOCOLATE!! Plus, because we asked, the owners took good care of the staff during the ice storm. This was our 2nd time there and this now our favorite place.

Where to begin? Intero is nothing short of astounding. The service and authenticity of the cuisine is all 5+ stars. Ian and Krystal welcome you into their establishment like a long time friend into their own home. The risotto is incredibly fantastic and a must-have every time we visit. Our server for Valentine's weekend, Quinn, was impressive with his complete knowledge of the food, wine and cocktail menus. Jordan behind the bar is a master at his craft and will entertain you without being intrusive. We've celebrated more than one occasion here and can't wait to celebrate more.

Best Italian restaurant I have tried so far. Much needed amongst the boring chains. Ambience, food , service all 5 stars.

  • 4/5 Jake W. 3 years ago on Google
Would give 4.5 if I could. Great spot for some of the best Italian in town. Highlights are focaccia with ricotta, the burrata (best I’ve had in town), the risotto, and the goat cheese tart dessert. We didn’t care for the tuna bruschetta - it was a dense slop of tuna and, peas, and what was maybe a mayonnaise? It just didn’t work alongside the burrata that was more delicately flavored. Room for improvement - take note when a dish is asked to be taken away and is barely eaten, that’s a bad sign. I was also disappointed that reservation notes regarding this being a birthday celebration were never mentioned or acknowledged.

  • 5/5 Stephanie S. 3 years ago on Google
Easily the best meal I've ever had in Austin, and definitely the best overall dining experience I've had in years. Everything was incredible: the buratta, bruschetta, spaghettini, wagyu flank steak, and goat cheese tart. Omg the goat cheese tart was the best decision ever. Every bite of this meal was so outstanding. Service was great as well. Note that they add a 20% service charge.

First Date Night Since Baby! We headed to Intero on a chilly Austin evening (chilly? It's actually possible!) for date night. We brought baby girl with us and the hostess kindly seated us in a more quiet space of the restaurant. We enjoyed several dishes from their fall menu: -roasted butternut squash, burnt onion, walnut, beef fat hollandaise -tagliolini, braised duck, pumpkin, persimmon, hazelnut -smoked quail, braised farro, acorn squash, pear, cheddar -toasted maple panna cotta, brown butter granola, apple -assorted truffles: pumpkin chai, smoked sea salt, amaretto walnut Our favorite dishes were the pasta dishes of course! The cocktails were delicious too and I rarely finish one at a meal. Our server was kind, the flavor was there, and the ambiance made for a perfect date night. Do I recommend you go? Absolutely! Make a reservation for sure!
