I usually don't leave reviews for really anything but, this is a great little hotel. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, staff is really nice. This place is kind of my little home away from home when I'm working in the area.

Great service. Amazing rooms. Affordable rates. Walking distance to the mall and several eateries, night life establishments and the Mcallen Airport. And when walking to the Airport isnt convenient, the hotel provides a shuttle to transport you at your request. Enjoy!!

Beautiful hotel, very clean! My room was amazing and had large drawers for clothing. I didn't use them but loved the feature. Also the staff is top notch. The lady who worked the night I came was very knowledgeable and was such a sweetheart. I would come back again and again. Keep up the great work guys! And thank you!

We were waiting for them to bring out the complementary breakfast (eggs and meats) and they took their sweet time and we never got to eat. Had a flight to catch.

My stay was just average. The place is comfortable and clean, however, in my opinion it does not have some facilities that I know are considered for a hotel to have 3 stars and for the price. Since you don't have complimentary water in your room, and breakfast is very simple. I had a small emergency and needed to go to the pharmacy. Hotels usually make it easy for guests to travel at least 2 miles around on a property shuttle. This hotel does NOT do that for the customers. Only to the airport, which seems like a joke to me since the airport is a 2-minute walk away. I mentioned my situation to different people at the counter and the response (a woman morning shift) was the following in a rude tone an a bad way: "if you want, I'll call you a taxi" without having the slightest intention of helping me even though the situation was serious. I tried to speak to Manager but that was not accessible... I definitely could have called an Uber, but I thought this hotel would have the facilities of 99% of the hotels I've stayed at. The rest was fine, is an option near to the airport, but I definitely I think it's worth staying somewhere further away with a better service.

When I was planning my trip, I chose this hotel based on the excellent rating it had. To be completely honest, I don't know where they came up with that. I'm not saying it was awful by any means. I'm just saying that it was just fine. There's nothing to really rave about. It was fairly clean, the complementary breakfast was actually pretty good, and the location was very convenient for my needs. It's not the Ritz, but it's also not a zillion dollars a night. I would consider staying there again.

Bob was perfect and when he couldn’t answer my question Juan came to the rescue!! Did not mean to leave our Juan! I was needy but it didn’t phase them and our room was PERFECT anything I needed he handled would definitely recommend this stay to my friends!!!

DO NOT RESERVE AT THIS PLACE!!!! They discriminate individuals looking for work with disabilities, how is one supposed to support themselves with places such as these who don't even give people chances. Laws states as such "The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities and guarantees equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities in employment, transportation, public accommodations, state and local government services, and telecommunications." Until they get it right and educated, I will spread a bad words towards this place!!

The location is great, literally everywhere we like going to is 15 minutes away from the hotel. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the staff were nice at greeting you and helpful.

Belinda the front desk manager was very nice 😊 She accommodated everything she could. Will be booking again.

The desk clerk was rude when checking in. Asked one question and she replied with attitude. Place was really nice but with bad service.

Thank God for Mrs. Alma at the front desk!! I was traveling with my elderly parents and got to McAllen late because our flight was delayed. She came to get us as soon as I called her and made sure our stay was comfortable and hassle-free. She was so compassionate and helped me every step of the way. I’ve stayed here before and is definitely the hotel of my choice. It’s conveniently located, very clean, comfortable and great complimentary breakfast. They even had a light dinner for us in the evening, which came in handy. No need to leave the hotel or order delivery. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the McAllen area.

Called today to see what they had available and right off the top the customer service was horrible. Keep in mind I have never stayed at this location so I don’t know what the rooms look like. With that said I gave it a one star rating cuz I couldn’t give it a zero star rating let’s just say I won’t be stay here…..

I felt compelled to write as I was so pleasantly surprised. Unaware that it was spring break, and traveling last minute, my typical choice for lodging was unavailable. Since this was the closest choice to the airport, I booked 1 night, even though my visit was to be for 7. Since the moment I arrived I was impressed by the modern, warm color pallette and updated decor, and the inmaculate condition of the hotel. Alma at the Front Desk was so pleasant that I felt great. Arriving in the room and finding a generous room size, comfortable mattress, superior linens, towels and toiletries, I was less skeptical. The "standard" breakfast buffet made more appetizing by the friendliness of staff. I was inmediately convinced and extended my stay for the whole week. It is so rare nowadays to find staff that appear genuinely concerned for the guest, that I had to write. Also, this was a brand that I typically avoided in my travel days years ago, as the properties were dated, but, I have now left fully convinced to try the brand again. And, this property now my 1st choice in McAllen.

Flawless. No improvements needed. Front desk attitude is excellent All day lobby coffee, a small pool and gym. Breakfast marginal, but at least some fresh fruits

Room was clean and very modern. We arrived a bit early and the staff assured us that we will get to check in early. There was an additional fee of $50.00, but we didn't mind the fee, as we were exhausted. The breakfast was better than expected! The area was super clean and there was a large spread to choose from. This location is walking distance from the mall. This was a super plus for me.

I've stayed at this location twice whilst in town and have enjoyed everything about the stay. Everything is clean, staff have been kind and professional, breakfast was lovely and I love the blackout curtains. I will absolutely be staying here next time I'm in town. Right in front of the airport, we used their free shuttle to get to the airport and take our luggage. The room was clean, confortable. Personal was nice. Free breakfast, which was ok.

Room was clean. Shower clean. Not sure how old hotel is, but use some silicone touch ups specially around shower. Hotel right across airport and next to mall. Only draw back was when walk outside the smell is bad like the place is next to a sewage treatment plant. No smell inside though that was plus. Breakfast was good. No bacon that day though. Not deal breaker. Enjoy the little cozy hotel. Pricing wasn't bad.

I loved this hotel. Employees where nice and clean, pool was amazing. House keepers are nice they clean our room everyday. Thank yall(: I recommend this hotel 100%!!

Happy hour is my favorite thing about this place free beer and pulled pork sliders. Rooms are great. Prices for a room felt higher but the breakfast and Happy hour well prices are good across McAllen airport easy to walk well worth the price staff are very friendly and helpful in anyway. Alma is amazing helpful and makes sure you have eaten.

I’ve been at the best western plus for over a month now. The entire stay the staff has been so attentive and welcoming. I tell everyone it’s my home away from home. When I come to the hotel in the evenings I am always welcomed in such a warm way by Alma. Every single time I see her she always makes me feel so special! She always asks how my day was and if there’s anything she can do to make my stay better! I’m actually sad to leave and I’ll miss our small conversations. I only wish I can take her with me! I feel extremely safe here and if I ever make my way back to McAllen this will 100% be the hotel I choose! Thank you! -Theresa

Nice & quite hotel. Great location. Has a shopping mall behind the hotel. Front courter workers are very kind & nice.
