I will start by saying that this is an academy based on discipline and talent. Coach Lori, Coach Nick and Coach Vlad have extensive experience in what they do, they will always welcome you and make you feel part of the team, each one of the coaches take the right time to make your time with them worthwhile. The place stands out for its cleanliness. All equipment or devices that are used are always in good condition. They have the greatest patience in the world to teach the basics of jiujitsu to anyone, even with their program for 3-year-olds they are incredible. Excellent work done in this academy! Congrats!

Great gym for training. Coach Vlad and Coach Mike make it very welcoming and newcomer friendly as I joined their classes. Always respectful of limits but are able to motivate you to push boundaries for the better. From my last time there, you have 13 adult one hour long classes a week you can choose from with No Gi/Gi Jiu Jitsu to kickboxing! Very well worth the money. I plan on returning asap. Personal suggestion: definitely wish I had more cardio training before I enrolled so the initial first classes, very taxing if not fit but no regrets at all.

I came in as a humble guard puller and through Vlad’s instruction I am now a takedown machine. If you are in the RGV and looking for quality instruction then look no further. His grappling acumen is unparalleled. Vlad’s combination of bjj and Sambo have really brought my standup game to a whole new level while still incorporating techniques that are comfortable and secure on the ground. The gym has A1 facilities and the staff makes you feel like family since day 1. I’m glad to call Vlad my friend and mentor. Don’t think about it, just come and check out the open mat to see for yourself.

Vlad is a great instructor that loves his students like a family. He is a hardworking coach and competitor with grappling-arts knowledge that are second to none . I'm proud to call him my sensei and friend 🤙

Best BJJ and grappling academy. Very knowledgeable on all the grappling arts. Coach vlad is world class. The gym is impeccable. And everyone is really nice.

The other type of therapy. Give it a chance, take some classes, and you will drive home with life’s volume turned down. Learn what you can from Vlad and walk away with more certainty that you can protect yourself and your family if needed.

I was recommended to KGA by a friend and I couldn't be happier with myself for deciding to join this wonderful gym! I had no prior knowledge or experience on BJJ and at first it was a bit intimidating to use my body in was I had never before. The community at KGA made it comfortable and encouraged me not to give up. My coaches have been like family, they want to see me succeed and that means the world to me. They are patient, extremally knowledgeable in their expertise and encouraging, which is the most important part to me. The KGA community quickly made me feel like one of their own and any progress I've achieved is all thanks to them. I would recommend KGA to anyone who wants to get out of their comfort zone and strive for higher. My body, mind, and soul are stronger today thanks to my world class coaches and teammates.

Great place to train! Coach Vlad is very knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. The environment is very encouraging and the people who train there are very nice and dedicated as well.

I called to ask for information and a man hung up on me for speaking Spanish. They have missed the registration of my 4 children. But later he apologized, which I admit is a success.
