The "easy" hikes are still a little challenging for young kids or older people. Beautiful hike. There are bathrooms available in the visitor center

Beautiful place, gorgeous views, nice hikes. My kids are somewhat used to hikes, so the easy and moderate trails are excellent for them. Lots to explore! Not a ton of parking, so you might have to wait a little bit. Nice, clean bathrooms at the visitor center.

Great place to walk, a number of trails from 1 to 5 miles. The trails are not hard, moderate height differences. You can also camp and fishing. Be there on time on a nice day! The parking spots are limited, you have to wait in line to enter if the parking spots are taken.

Nice place for an afternoon walk. Fairly easy over well kept trails. Reckon the only hazards are all the tree roots crossing but no big deal. There is an overlook near the rock. Nothing spectacular but, on the day we went, the breeze blowing across the river felt like air condition. Was a nice break with a couple benches to relax on. It is also pretty cool down by the river. We did see a few people carrying fishing poles, so that's also an option and would also add a bit more purpose than just walking. I also imagine, if your young and fit, you could climb around on the rock. Then there is also the option packing in a picnic to enjoy and follow with a nap by the river. The tree canopy is tall and thick, providing a very dense shade. Hmm... maybe next time.

Beautiful hike along easy, well marked trails. Raven Rock State Park offers a variety of trails for hikers, cyclists and horseback riders. I enjoyed the views of the Cape Fear River on the overlook. Camping is available with reservations made online.

1 mile to 5 mile trails. Well marked with occasional rest spots. Creeks, river, falls, overlook and rock formations.
